    I’m a first-year Physiotherapy student in South Africa and this is the only video I’ve found so far that is so familiar to what we’ve learnt in massage! This is such a great video and I love how you talked about all the different muscles, and have the drawings on the leg. We’re also learning the lower limb in anatomy at the moment so this has been helpful.

    Why the people that give thumbs down does not have the kindness to write the reason of their opinion? I found this wonderful lady very well educated and since she’s taking her time to post this informative videos the least we can do as watchers is give some feedback,positive or negative so Mrs Maria can improve what you think she’s doing wrong. With all the respect.

      Mayflower Hirami thank you for your comments & I agree with you. They are free videos that I have spent time, money & knowledge to help some one out there. I don’t take the thumbs down too seriously because they usually come from negative entitled people that can’t even appreciate one thing about the videos. I know not everyone will like them & they are not for everyone. Just the ones that appreciate it so with that I truly appreciate your support ❤️🙏

    Well I think I've got the right video after yesterday's Hamstring one(but will still go check again). For today's lesson, I've got some points:
    1. Revision of 3 types of tendon strains: 1) bruises ,2) tendon tore, 3) tendon tore apart completely (no massage)
    2. 3 Stripping skills: two-fingers, fists, forearms
    3. Good demo for knee care/knee tendonitis
    4. A good therapist always invites his client's engagement when doing myofascial release, and gives a lot attention using his body weight or different postures (horse stand/archer stand etc)to protect his own body. For your reference I would be very delighted to watch another video with Taichi introduced.
    In this video I feel muscle lifting, along/cross fibre stripping very effective for quadriceps. Thanks Maria. Have a beautiful day!

    Yaay!! Another great new video from Maria!! Love all the camera angles of this one, and as always your detailed explanations.
    A while back we requested a video with how to deal with very ticklish clients, and about how sometimes just letting a ticklish client laugh through the session if they're comfortable is the best option (laughter is healthy!). You mentioned you'd be putting that in your docket because you had such a client but might it might take a couple of months? Will that video be coming soon? Hope so! :)
    Love your instagram channel too, Maria. Some the best massage therapy videos out there, hands down!!

    • @MassageTherapeutics915
      @MassageTherapeutics915  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cris Lem I really appreciate your feedback! Yes I remember communicating back & forth with you about the ticklish clients! We really got behind with the production due to the fact that my videographer got sick. It’s been a long arduous process to get another team together! And finding a videographer that I can afford! Next is the mastectomy video so it’s still not on the priority list for now. I’m sorry. How is it going with your ticklish client???

    • @octomet1
      @octomet1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MassageTherapeutics915 I have two clients who fit that category now, believe it or not, ha ha. Communication is key! Once they accept the fact that ticklishness is NOT a negative reaction, and that they are going to laugh, and that laughter is itself very healthy for the body, they both have becomes extremely happy clients! The catharsis of laughter combined with the physiological benefits of the massage modalities is like a double-whammy of wonderfulness. I wish more therapists and clients tried this! Too many treat ticklishness as being akin to pain and go out of their way to avoid it. There's so much to be said for embracing it instead! Anyway, if I had your explanatory and elocution skills, let alone good video equipment, I would attempt to do a video of it myself, but I do not. (Few people on youtube do, to be honest) Ok then, patiently awaiting your eventual video on it, ha ha. I know it will be good! :)

    • @MassageTherapeutics915
      @MassageTherapeutics915  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cris Lem actually you explain it really well! It is part of the healing process it’s just some people are using to laughing instead of crying as a defense mechanism! I will still the video in mind because it’s a good one. Even if it’s just a short one. I’ll do one for Instagram! I’m going life on Instagram today March 4th at 4:00pm mountain time. You should join us & bring it up!

    Thanks a loooot for these extraordinary educative videos! I own a massage saloon South of France, sometimes teaching myself the Swedish massage. I often show your videos to my students, to better understand the anatomy of the part of the body concerned, this is huge help! I love your poster, are there other parts of the body shown by other posters?

      Albertina Orban thank you so much for the compliment! Sounds beautiful where your Salon is at. Best of luck. I have short little videos on Instagram too under Massagetherapeutics915 I’m not sure what you mean by “Poster”? I only have one poster of the model with the muscles painted on. You can find it through tee spring under each video. I truly appreciate your support and showing your students the videos. Best of luck to you. ❤️🤗

    This was very helpful thank you. I can never remember the names of these structures, just this muscle goes from A to B and does this or that. It was also good idea seeing the muscles etc drawn on. Particularly impressed that the ink didn't smudge

    • @MassageTherapeutics915
      @MassageTherapeutics915  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It always depends on how the client feels! Feedback from your client is important. It really depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. All stretches are ok unless there’s a muscle or tendon tear.

    • @MassageTherapeutics915

      No I don’t. It depends on wether it’s acute or chronic . Is due to an injury or just repetitive motion. Icing and mild stretching can help it but it really depends on how it got injured. Have you seen a dr or pt?

    I study massage therapy, I would like to know something... when we use these techniques and the person feels pain, it is decided to have exhausted muscles, or am I being aggressive in the massage?!
    I'm a big fan of your work!

    • @MassageTherapeutics915
      @MassageTherapeutics915  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congratulations Flavia on your studies of massage therapy. My personal believe is that a client should Not feel pain above a 6/7. You exhausted the nervous system. Every client is different so it’s important to stay within their pain tolerance. I have a video on the physiological laws & neuromuscular theories where I mention that. Might help explain what I mean better. 🤗❤️
