I just bought a 2023 hybrid Toyota tundra last month. I had hooked up my trailer to it and automatically on the driver display it had said that the TBC was off. Also when I tried to program a trailer it gave me an error every time and no information was saved.I thought maybe it was my trailer so I went to get it checked only to find out that the trailer breaks worked and that the problem was that my truck was not sending signal to the trailer breaks. They tested this out with an electric force meter that shows if the was sending current and it was not. I took it back to the Toyota dealership so they could fix it and they were no help they said there was nothing wrong with it. So I asked them why can’t I program a trailer to the truck and they said they don’t know then I asked if they checked to see if electrical current was coming out from the TCB and they said they don’t have that equipment so essentially their is nothing they could do based on the test they did looking for codes and checking sensors. So tell me what is the warranty for then?
