I miss the days when vizards came to save soul society's ass against Aizen. Now they are all side characters. I don't even know why they are not using their mask to hollowfied and increase their power
I like Renji’s new song that played. It was like a throwback to victorious Ichigo during the early days of Bleach. Also the lighting design for his upgraded Bankai reveal was spot on.
It's not a good thing. All of the fights are extremely fast, the bankais are barely explained and barely shown in the fights. Frankly is nothing but frustrating

Zaraki's fight with Unohana should be longer than just 1 episode and a half, and all the stuff cut from Bambietta's fight with Komamura is terrible. Next week we probably only will have half an episode for all Rukia's fight with As Nodt plus her bankai and that's not ok.

For anyone wondering, So Ou means Twin King. And Hihi Ou and Orochi Ou means Baboon King and Great Snake King respectively. When Manako said his bankai was Half, my interpretation is it was only Hihi Ou so the Baboon as the King and the Great Snake as the Servant, thats why his old bankai takes the form of a Snake.
@@arahaitham123 it's got range with the bone arm, it's not as fragile and it isn't as big a target, its also much easier to wield as its not a giant snake,. The only thing it doesn't have is a massive laser attack

Which means not only is he utilizing his bankai's full power, but it's not as exploitable as his old bankai and he can attack much faster without having to wind up in order to attack like before. Plus he gained an additional gorilla strength prosthetic arm and his blade is able to extend at will plus use those beam attacks. So not only does he still have reach, but he can quickly attack with no openings. Think of it as a Tensa Zangetsu version of Hihiō Zabimaru.
He already had a great scene in Fullbring arc against the "dirty boots" lady, but he got nerfed here again, then buffed as you can see, then he will get nerfed again...

Most of the captains are weak but some of them are as strong as the original 13. He was also wise to eliminate Masked Quincy before the latter got any more boosts that would have made him too powerful even for him.
There are massive power discrepancies between many of the captains, some of them are really weak compared to the top captains. Some of the lieutenants before TYBW (Renji, Ikkaku and maybe the guy with the sickles) were probably stronger than Kurotsuchi for example.
watching renji's new bankai made me believe that ikkaku's bankai is not his real bankai as well that thing was too weak to be considered as a bankai and break easily
I have a feeling that Ikkaku's bankai si really a kido type. The reason it's weak and brittle is because Ikkaku keeps on training like his bankai is a melee-type.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised. Ikkaku acts like some sort of honorable fighter, but he's really a sneaky little bastard that presses every advantage he can get. Even his Shikai reflects that, being a multi-segment thing that pretends to be a bladed staff. Whether he wants to be an honorable fighter but has to fight off his zanpakuto's roguish impulses, or whether he's hiding his true nature much like Yumechika, the fact of the matter is that he is very blatantly at odds with his sword. Even the bankai itself reflects that; it's a big honkin' pile of axes, clearly designed for no-holds-barred head-on combat, yet starting out weak and waking up as it draws blood, while also being absurdly fragile for a bankai, means it's best suited to hit-and-run sneak attacks so it can't be damaged. There's definitely _something_ weird going on there, for his power to be that much at odds with itself.

Uhm . . .firstly, not only Renji but Rukia too was told this. Secondly, it isn't an asspull. In the same fucking episode and Yumichika in the pasr explain that using the true name/abilities/bankai of a zanpakuto requires a lot of strength. Renji always was kind of tanky so he could endure saying his True Bankai and he STILL admits it took quite the effort. And Rukia can't even mantain it she can only release it.
Personally I'm glad they cut that out. This fight in the manga totally botched up the powerscaling, omitting their clash when he was in Shikai shows that he only gets the edge over Mask in his Bankai, this makes the power difference look less drastic.

They cut the part where Renji countered Mask’s superstar head butt and made a huge crater and where he cut up James while Mask was doing his superstar barrage making him look foolish. They also missed where Renji caught masks punch before he did his barrage. The manga had a longer fight and Renji looked more badass there.

Kensei at least showed his Bankai’s (honestly very underwhelming for a Captain) extent. Rose was on his final act then got blasted with a star beam to the heart. I feel bad for Rose and hope we’re able to see his final act somehow.

They handled this fight pretty well in the Anime. Mask getting even more power ups after beating 2 captains and Renji still overpowering him with only his Shikai was way too unrealistic. I'm glad this was cut. Renji's progress is much more believable now.
It wasn’t unrealistic at all. The royal guard squad training was no joke. Renji is just that much more powerful now. As were all who did it. Idk why you guys hate it so much or try to nerf it when he put in the work to level up
@wintergreen2.073 nah he is right. That royal guard training was way to huge of a boost that just messed up the captain power scaling. We know kubo doesn't care about the visoreds but they are still captains. Mask defeated 2 captains with ease and then gets even more powerful after and renji dog walks him and there is about 5 captains still stronger than Renji. That means there is a massive drop off in power between the top 5 strongest captains and the rest. The captains are suppose to be somewhat on the same level even if you know some are obviously stronger they are still relevant to one another. That's how it looked in the fake karakura town arc but Renji powerup just makes most of the captains look like useless fodder. It would have been better if he struggled against mask and defeated him but kubo made like 8 captains irrelevant with this one powerup

Kensei at least showed his Bankai’s (honestly very underwhelming for a Captain) extent. Rose was on his final act then got blasted with a star beam to the heart. I feel bad for Rose and hope we’re able to see his final act somehow.

They handled this fight pretty well in the Anime. Mask getting even more power ups after beating 2 captains and Renji still overpowering him with only his Shikai was way too unrealistic. I'm glad this was cut. Renji's progress is much more believable now.
It wasn’t unrealistic at all. The royal guard squad training was no joke. Renji is just that much more powerful now. As were all who did it. Idk why you guys hate it so much or try to nerf it when he put in the work to level up
@wintergreen2.073 nah he is right. That royal guard training was way to huge of a boost that just messed up the captain power scaling. We know kubo doesn't care about the visoreds but they are still captains. Mask defeated 2 captains with ease and then gets even more powerful after and renji dog walks him and there is about 5 captains still stronger than Renji. That means there is a massive drop off in power between the top 5 strongest captains and the rest. The captains are suppose to be somewhat on the same level even if you know some are obviously stronger they are still relevant to one another. That's how it looked in the fake karakura town arc but Renji powerup just makes most of the captains look like useless fodder. It would have been better if he struggled against mask and defeated him but kubo made like 8 captains irrelevant with this one powerup
@@wintergreen2.073the royal guards still got clapped tho, if only a few days of their training could make a mid tier lieutenant go to high captain lvl then they should’ve beat ywachs top guys with moderate difficulty even after their powerup
