I think I remember Jayfeather talking to the elders about his birth, and them mentioning that he was born into one of the coldest leaf-bares they'd seen in a while.
leafstar is literally so so old now like she outlived leopardstar and mistystar’s leaderships, blackstar and rowanstar, and onestar. if they were commenting on how old mistystar was shouldnt they do the same to leafstar?? i guess since theres a wormhole she didnt age in those missing years lol
I totally agree. But her living this long is realistic since she has 9 lives. But I agree that they kill leaders off so often it’s weird they didn’t do the same to leafstar
@@lj2659 after arc 1 they were so afraid to kill off characters and leaders...look at how long it took for firestar to loose his 9 lives then look at bramblestar. And in arc 1 in general a lot more important cats died. There also weren't a bajillion of them
I noticed this weird timeline issue with SkyClan when Hawkwing’s Journey first came out. I was already aware of just how terrible the main books were in keeping track of the timeline, it’s noticeable in the very start of the whole series, but this SkyClan timeline is just insane. The only way some of this timeline could work is if Hawkwing’s litter wasn’t the one Cherrytail was pregnant with in SkyClan and the Stranger. Maybe that litter didn’t survive or maybe that’s where Mistfeather came from because the dude just appears out of thin air with zero known family relations. Honestly the differences between what we learned of SkyClan in The Apprentice’s Quest and what was shown in Hawkwing’s Journey made me wonder if they were planning to have SkyClan be mostly completely new cats but Working Partners or Harper Collins immediately decided after TAQ was written that fans wouldn’t connect with a near entirely new SkyClan and decided to go from Ravenpaw’s Farewell not realizing that doing so wouldn’t fit in with the lake timeline.
This ladies and gentlemen is why it’s important to keep a universe Bible. The Erin’s are a shining example of how to mess up your own universe by having multiple writers, no history book to follow and editors who either don’t care or constantly miss stuff like this. Write responsibly kids 😔
One time line thing that makes no sense is young cats becoming elders. Sometimes it can be excused (like Longtail or Nightpelt) Bc of a disability or illness, but most of the time it’s random. Like Pouncetail retired to the elders den and her mentor was Reedwhisker??? And Dapplenose retired to the elders den sometime during OOTS but she is around the same age as Willowpaw (shine). Also leader have NINE LIVES! They should be living for their life +9 yet they die all the time. There’s no way they each die 9 times in three arcs.
Just finished SkyClan's Destiny and something that bothered me is at the beginning of the book, they're making a big deal about Rockpaw, Bouncepaw, and Tinypaw being the first 'gorge-born' SkyClan cats but that's not true. When Clovertail was found by Firestar and Sandstorm, she was defending her kits from a fox. Rockshade, Bouncefire, and Tinycloud were born rogues/loners.
Stuff like that happens all the time. Like when they said that Tigerheart was a kit when The Great Battle happened despite being a fully grown warrior who fought in it.
@@SunneyRabbitHonestly no idea how that mistake even happened when Tigerheartstar’s wife, who was markedly younger than him, was instrumental in the Great Battle (or at least that’s what the books tell us)
Okay I'm re reading Warriors rn and I've noticed the first arc timeline is also confusing. So we can assume Firestar/Rusty was 6 moons when the books started because y'know he became Firepaw. And Graystripe, or at the time, Graypaw, had JUST started his apprenticeship when he met Rusty. Okay. So then we hear about all the conflict with RiverClan and stuff. Anyways, skip to when ThunderClan and ShadowClan fight, and Brokenstar is defeated. This is where it began to get confusing for me. So Firepaw and Graypaw couldn't have been apprentices for at least 6 moons, or until they're 12 moons. They had to have been at least 9 moons. Because if I recall there were only like 3 gatherings during the time they were apprentices, and obviously a gathering happens every moon. So yeah they bring back WindClan and whatever. Also Sandpaw/storm and Dustpaw/pelt were probably like a year and a few moons once they were finally made warriors? Like in that time Fireheart and Graystripe both got their own apprentices even though they had to be only 12 moons or so. I'm probably so off but anyways. So well for some reason Brackenfur was literally made a warrior while his other two siblings (Brightkit, Thornkit) were still in the nursery. Brackenfur was probably like 10 moons if I had to guess. So Brightkit and Thornkit are FINALLY made apprentices at about idk 11 moons, and so they would've been over a year old and still apprentices? Idk there's so much that happened. Also, in I believe A Dangerous Path or whatever book came before Rising Storm, Littlecloud was like 3 moons when Brokenstar was driven out and stuff. Then we have a time skip and suddenly 9 moons have passed and he's a warrior now? So he's like 12 moons now. Fireheart and Graystripe, as I said, were probably 10 moons when they were made warriors, so they'd be 22 moons, or a year and 10 moons I believe. Omg that's so overwhelming.. Anyways, uh, yeah, there's a lot of things that just don't line up. Like sometimes there'll be a gathering and we wouldn't know? I rely heavily on the gatherings to do the math because every gathering means 1 moon has passed, but when they completely skip a gathering and then bring it up much later it just gets confusing. You'd think they'd fix that later on, but nope. If anything, it got more and more inconsistent and confusing. But you make a good point, Warriors is VERY inconsistent a majority of the time.
I think Cherrytail may have just been… well fed. She was supposed to be at least courting one of the daylight warriors and kits didn’t come from that. Of they WANTED kits to come from that and forgot when they make Hawkwing and his siblings Cherrytail and Sharpclaw’s kits.
In After the Flood there was a scene where Cherrytail said that she was expecting Sharpclaw’s kits. He was so embarrassed, it was so cute. They only have one litter which is Hawkwing, Cloudmist, Blossomheart and Duskpaw (RIP). That’s why it’s so weird that she was supposed to expect kits while Sol was still around but just had her children become Warriors right when Darktail shows up. While it’s very possible she had a first litter with no survivors, it’s not stated otherwise.
@@SunneyRabbit ah I see! It’s been so long since I read SkyClan and the Stranger and I only have it in the black and white, 3 book version, so I probably never realized the she-cat with the daylight warrior and the she-cat expecting Sharpclaw’s kits where the same. Thanks for the clarification! Yeah, I would think that after everything Leafstar had been through in her leadership- Stick & his group, Sol, the aggressive kittypets in Ravenpaw’s Farewell- she would be more cautious. I guess she’s the “benefit of the doubt” type of gal or something.
Hawkwing just failed his warrior assessment multiple times and stole a time machine so he could remain an apprentice for two years. That or SkyClan are all a group of time lords, and they learnt their powers from StarClan as an apology for being kicked out of the forest and separated from the clans. ...I think the warriors timeline is more confusing than the Zelda timeline.
Reedwhisker was apprenticed for 2 years and later was given hawkfrost as a mentor who is younger than Reedwhisker And A old shadowclan elder named dawncloud has to many weird time stuff going on (she is in tpb) She is same litter siblings with mosspaw and volepaw who recently died, but she also has dead kits? She should be apprentice age? And she is an elder?
Molewhisker and Cherryfall were apprenticed late too. They were a year old when they got their ceremony. Dawncloud has some weird stuff going on. She was apprenticed early under Brokenstar, then had a litter right after becoming a warrior. Her timeline is all over the place
In Hawkwings journey they get the prophecy that tells them that Firestar died but if timelines lined up that should of happened moons ago, it doesn’t make sense for them to only just find out and other things just don’t make sense. Also, From Firestars quest we already see Leafstar as a fully grow adult suggesting that she could’ve possibly been roughly the same age as Mistyfoot at the timeframe, she is unknown for how many lives that she has left but she has got to be old but we still seeing her act young, I can’t do math but Skyclan is something different
I actually written the same problem on tumblr but no one seems to care!! According to the timeline hawkwing and his siblings were apprentices for 4 years!!
I'm from the UK and snow in august is not common at all, that being said UK weather is weird as anything. We can get snow in march, a heatwave in august and the spring which most of us will remotely consider spring doesn't really start until April. This also fluctuates heavily so I'm not surprised non-UK readers are confused with the cats season tracking even I was kind of did but then I remembered oh wait it snowed this week to the point some schools shut due to it. It's mid-beginning of march as of writing this. So don't worry about the seasons being weird you can chalk it up to UK weather being weird and not actually aligning with the typical month to season cycle we're taught. 😅
I’m binging all of your videos rn, it’s nice to see a new warriors TH-camr who talks about interesting things in the series and has super cute art. Never stop!!❤️
And the apprentice ages from hawkwing's journey to river of fire in skyclan are wrong. Birdwing had kits, they had to be like 2-3 maybe even 4 months old when they were driven out by darktail. At least 3-4 moons passes between then and when they are apprenticed. They were apprenticed late. Plumwillow is said to be almost 2 months pregnant. Pebbleshine had just gotten pregnant. With the time line and stuff pebbleshine was pregnant for way to long. Like way too long. Plumwillow's kits are older than pebbleshine's keep this in mind. When they are kicked out of the gorge mint fur has kits that are 1 month old. Finpaw, reedpaw, and dewpaw seem to be apprenticed at the right time maybe a little late. When twigpaw and violetpaw move to skyclan, they are said to be older and more advanced, they are around a year younger if we go by your time line and the fact that pebbleshine was pregnant for way to long. When they bring back the missing skyclan cats, mintfur's litter is said to be young and clearly apprentices to violetpaw when they find them. They would be almost 2 years old. Fidgetpaw would be 2 years old also. Violetpaw is said to be older than all of them. I get that gravelpaw, palepaw, fringepaw, nectorpaw, and fidgetpaw would need extra training. But finpaw and his siblings should have become warriors before violetshine. Tinycloud could have become pregnant at any time after hawkwing's journey, so her kits are at the right stage of life. Anyway if that was confusing with the apprentices it goes fidgetpaw, gravelpaw, palepaw, fringepaw, nectorpaw, finpaw, dewpaw, reedpaw, violetshine, twigpaw, tinycloud's kits. And by the way I'm almost certain that mistcloud from the apprentice's quest who's mate is said to have died in the darktail battle's mate is stormheart. She is the only she cat said to have died.
Just found this *checks date* A YEAR LATE HELLO THANK YOU TH-cam RECOMMENDATIONS But yeah, I noticed how weird the timeline is for SkyClan too. Well, the timeline's weird in general but you really do feel it if you've invested in SkyClan. Granted I didn't read Ravenpaw's Farewell so I wasn't aware of Hawkwing being an apprentice that long so that's a big yikes. I mean if Ravenpaw showed up at Bramblestar's leader ceremony then Hawkwing should have been close to Cherryfall and Molewhisker's age if you want to keep him being an apprentice in that book... and they were victims of the timeline too! They were apprenticed at one year old!
Love the video. This is what happens when the series doesn't have a series bible, and they just wing it.
