Join us on this camping trip to a state park in Tennessee. We had a great time outdoors in nature, sitting in the creek, cooking on the fire, playing games in the tent when it rained, and just enjoying the simplicity of camping. (It ALWAYS rains when we camp!) If you have never been camping, it's something you gotta do at least once before your kids leave home.

Although I have camped like this, I was in my mid. 60's before I did. Before then, my wife and I camped either by way of backpacking, canoes, motorcycle, or horseback and seldom saw other campers in the process.

Such a pretty spot to camp in, that's my ideal setting too. So lucky your tent wasn't set up where the lake formed!
Most of them are solo camping, but there is no doubt that family camping is becoming more and more popular,maybe this wildskeeper Overl and Camping/Work Light will be a good choice.

We went on a 45 day camping trip this summer and we joked we brought rain with us the whole time! I really don’t mind though. It’s cozy camping in the rain. The only thing that scares me is bad wind storms. We camped at the outer banks in a pop up once and had a storm that I was sure was going to rip the camper in half!

Huh to funny my friend and I started camping a year ago. We’re old lol both in our 60’s. Every time we camp it rains. We are SO ready for rain every time we camp lol we each have our own tent we bought a screen room so both our kitchens in there it’s so relaxing to camp ( once your all set up ) we absolutely love glamping camping whatever y’all want to call it !!!! WE CALL IT FUN 💜💜💜💜
Camping is great! I am so glad you enjoy it. I never did it as a child, and I'm so glad I finally decided to try it. We have had some of our favorite family memories on our camping trips. Not at all glamping. I can never understand how a huge semi tractor towing a 50’ building equipped w slides, second stories, hot tubs for a couple traveling alone w everything a house has can be considered as camping. Huge thumbs up for what you & your family are doing. My grandkids refuse to leave the comforts of home or a hotel room

It really is cozy camping in the rain! I don’t like packing up or setting up in it, but everything else is ok! :)

What is the name of this state park in Tennessee?
Is that tent hard to set up?
This particular tent was an Easy Up Tent, and there are no poles that you have to thread through pockets. It all folds in on itself, so when you are setting it up, you just pull each side out of the center and then raise it. It's really easy! That gives me the idea to make a video of the set-up so people can see if they like that type of tent or not. :)
We actually took a different tent on our next camping trip, and I will post a video of that tent in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned! We would love to have you subscribe to the channel!
