Adam, seriously, a family doctor is a GP, a general practitioner, a paediatrician is a doctor that specialises in treating infants, children and adolescents
Do you live in north America?? He shows you the name or the title of the doctor that accustom to give health services to people in this country.Maybe for some regions it could be different...
A GP is known as a general practitioner or family doctor. This is a clinician who treats patients of all ages. However, a paediatrician will generally only treat children/adolescents. The titles general practitioner and pediatrician are also subspecialities within the medical sector and both have very different remits and roles.
Although I got my IELTS and started my Masters, I'm still finding your videos interesting and still learning a couple of new vocab's once in awhile! Thanks Adam!
As an asian, and the beginner of English, these videos available on youtube are really helpful. This can definitely cure my "English disease" lol Anyway, thanks a lot!
I'm enjoying the Engvid programs by Adam. The vocabulary lists in English are useful for foreign language teachers to use to brush up on vocabulary building in other languages. Excellent vocabulary lists for translating into other languages. Engvid does the "brainstorming" for foreign language teachers in search of material to use in translation. BRAVO!!!
Good lecture and I understood some important things from you. I am not a person deal with medicine and I am Forester in Sri Lanka. I had a problem about Medical English which we not use in my life and also I wanted to explore this from any where . Finally I studied from your lecture. Thank you very much.
Hi there mr adam. im eyeing to take the ielts examination and i find your videos very helpful. in two days ive been able to watch 75% of all your tutorial videos. You teach very well. Godbless and thanks.
Adam you're my best teacher on TH-cam. I had to switch up my channel to come here cause there it was too annoying. congrats keep it up! 😁😁😷 I'm a nurse from Brazil
Thank you Adam for your lesson that was really really useful for me because while I'm taking some English classes face to face, I also go for a Medical Assistant Career. Your lesson was very helpful so much.
So, thanks a lot for this video. You made a big effort as usual. I can say your English lessons are my CUP OF TEA! I am not native speaker and I always try to learn more from all native speakers. You are talking good English understandably and clearly. Thank you so much once again:
hey Adam you are great yaar whosoever your country actually I dnt know to which country you belong to but definitely you are one of the nice teacher there thanks for this lesson
Hey Adam! I learned a lot from your videos. I just want to clarify that a 'pediatrician' is a doctor or a physician specialized in treating children (pedia-children).
Nice work, Adam! Thank you for helping us improve our English. Could you upload a lesson about the use of the word "feather"? I would be very thankful!
HI there! I live in a french speaking country. Iam a college student specialized in American Literature. I love English especially American English. I capitalize on every means that I get to better my English as well as my storehouse of knowledges on a daily basis. To me, English is not so simple as some people may believe it. We have what is known as phrasal verbs because even native speakers face some difficulties with phrasal verbs aside from the very common ones. One should learn one or two phrasal verbs per day with all the meanings that occur in the different contexts. Could you please add more videos in ereas like english for law, business english, and above all medical english videos? Thank you so much beforehand.
Great video overall! However a Pediatrician (Paediatrician in British English) is a children's doctor, not a family doctor. A family doctor in the UK is a GP (general practitioner)
Hi adam thanks for this lesson ! Im a fan of u but i didn't understant a lof things in this lesson , and you used to many verbs while you r speaking and i think its a helpful verbs about medicine and u didnt expline them , by the way you re the best
It's very helpful. But we want to know more difficult vocabulary. I mean, for example, the difference between spine and backbone, what inflammation means.
Thank you Adam! I always watch your videos and they're so useful. Can you make a video about attending a hockey game? It's so interesting how to choose seats, book tickets, buy jersey in the arena's shop and so on. Do you live in Toronto right? I bet you often go to Maple Leafs and have rich experience for it.
Wound is a difficult word in terms of pronunciation because it doesn't sound like the rest of "-ound" words: hound, pound, bound, found (past form of "find"), round, mound, sound etc.
Adam speaks clearly, so I can understand his speech and of course the lesson. thanks.
Me too.

@@bastianx5801 I live in the 21st century with access to the internet and tools like Google and ChatGPT, these things are super easy to check.
@@bastianx5801 probably if he lives in the US he doesn't know the names of various specialist doctors because he can't afford to visit them?

Of course! I have just meant to write the same :-) The word "paediatrician" is from Greek; pais, paid = child, boy.
