Nice clean run idk what it is with the Impulse, but it seems like they all cavitate more or less to some degree. It grabs and takes off like a missile😄 ..fun to watch! Sounds like you're down to fine tuning the Dom as well, so I know that's gotta be a good feeling. Looking forward to part 2👀👍
Haha yea I think the impulse is just so heavy that any somewhat aggressive prop will struggle to get it moving. You’re right tho, once it catches, it is fun to watch lol. The mini boats was a fail lol, the mini dom was out of frame for most of the run haha. It’s uploading now
Impulse looking much better than before! .. Dominator is almost there too for a very respectable top speed. Try a 4219 prop on the dominator if you have one
Yea it’s definitely quicker, the lighter packs coupled with the drier tune seem to be helping. I think I’m gonna lower the outer tabs a bit to hopefully run a mm over the water when on plane and once it starts to teeter totter, they should touch the water and aid in keeping it tracking (hopefully) I think I’m gonna go back to the 2000kv on the dom. Better speed with the smaller x442, less torque roll and more stable
Its sort off difficult to explain and long story, but your doing ok but just not there. This prop, or the right tune should get it close to about 63-65mph.... So my suggestion would be put inner tabs above flush, and play with strut position (one off other guys you watch too i believe had a big gain just by working on there two) or prop could be bit off. But personally really suggest focussing to try to get more out off this current setup! Looks it still could run lighter but quite hard to see not standing there. But you probably dont realize if you get as close as possible to 65, this same setup runs near 80-85 on 8s.. and that means with a other prop, you get it... If you keep changing motors and props i truly believe the way to going fast or find right setup only takes longer. Or could decide to go for 2000kv for now. Test it, if it pulls the x646 (or maybe with detounge) your definitely in the 70's... Btw, i don't mind the way your trying to test and dial in your boats, but its up to you off course how you want to show and share that... 👍
I see your point, however, it just seems to run more stable with a smaller prop, lighter motor and higher rpm. You’re right that I need to find a motor and stick with it to try to dial in a prop/tune that suits that setup. Gonna try a 4219 on the 2000kv
@VetteWay2Fast that will work just fine. Although a 46 should be no problem, smaller or a more worked (thinner, sharper) bigger prop have less effect so you are right about that! Thats also why i personally don't see for myself a reason to go for instance 1300-1400kv range motor and 52+mm props. But totally nothing wrong picking that 2000kv and refine the tune... Just give it time to refine it. When i start running this year its not like i run 90's the first run. Need to dial it in again too...
@@VetteWay2Fast did you notice other guys basically saying same thing. Your getting closer, but do what you want off course. Like i said, just pick the setup you want and focus on dailing it in... Even could tell you which speeds you should get with right setup, but you can ask that always later...
@VetteWay2Fast not the cheapest way, but the best way if you ask me. And if you don't mind wrenching and experimenting... I have 4th motor in dom for next season and something in range off 15-20 props. Some even same but worked diffently to see what works better. But eventually only few are left.
Hey bud i have a 3D printer and a file for a 36inch mono! Id like to send you one so you can make something out of it. I have made mine. Just havent painted it. If you would like one let me know. Im interested to see what you think of it. Ill give you all the details. Thanks and hope you had a great day.
@@RDM-RC That would be great, kind of short on funds with the recent purchases for all the hardware and stuff needed but definitely in the future! Can’t wait to see yours!

I don’t see any 4219 props made aside from a few from china. Do you know of anyone that carries them in the states?
