    So FANTATASTIC! How often do you come across a 66 year old female who LOVED THIS! I went off road my entire life. Had everything I even could think I needed. I never got stuck. The difference: I am from PA. I lived near the coal mining region. I explored many mountain ranges in PA. I also learned I knew the owner of a mine that was being stated after 60 years. I drove to heights not many go. The highest point in PA plus exploring the ruined. I appreciate your knowledge of the workings of the mines. My hats off to you! I am not sure but I am thinking I'm the only "CoalCrackerInPA" who knows your site. I'm a fan forever!

      Yes I would much rather spend my time watching footage from Gly and Mr. M, there are an awful lot of copycat attempts out there that have no business crawling around in the mines at all, walking about trying to talk about what they See and missing the most basic of names for the things they see, how they function what the purpose is, lacking in ability to hand off information about anything, or even getting within 50 years on dates for things. it's pretty sad when the copy cats have no idea how bad they look barely able to describe a machine or contrivance that they run across, knowing almost zip about the geology. And obviously they have been watching what our two guys do and try to include it their copy cat videos. its so bad, and those copycat guys are gonna end up getting themselves killed because they're not reading about it and learning about it and packing their brains full of knowledge, Desiring to wear the badge but not having earned it, with arrogance pushing them on towards their own demise.
      Thank you guys so much for not wasting my time and insulting my intelligence, your productions in my opinion are golden❤️

    Hi Gly Coolness and Mr. M,
    Thank you, I enjoy your channel. Thank you for sharing and your great camera work and descriptions!
    I photographed this mill site five years ago. At that time it had minimal damage from vandals. On a later visit I saw the "artwork" by anticline. While it is very creative and ambitious, I do not appreciate it. They are very destructive to historic sites and, unfortunately, this was not their only effort. I am surprised you applauded it as you are normally very careful to protect locations you visit in order to prevent vandalism. That I appreciate, even though I want to know some of the places you visit! A conundrum.
    You didn't descend the exterior tanks, but they have very large "propellers" to stir the mixture. Also, there were several interesting crushers on the structure topside that fed into the conveyor tunnel. I'm surprised you didn't climb the stairs and ladders to have a look.
    As you entered the site the large building on the left that you passed by contains lots of business paperwork. Including employee names and SSN's. The letters with arguments between partners, and the lawsuits and bankruptcy filings, circa 1995, are quite entertaining.
    I have photos, but I don't know how to share them with you. Email if you are interested.
    Thanks, and stay safe.

    • @AbandonedandForgottenPlaces
      @AbandonedandForgottenPlaces  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      “Gly”: I personally would have liked to see the site undamaged and free of graffiti but a small part of me was impressed by the artist’s creativity. Yeah, it’s a conundrum. We looked around the site off camera and saw the things you noticed but I had to edit it down for time.

      @@TreasureGeo Oops, your bad. He explained his taste in tea in a previous video. It is not a fake scripted thing.

      “Gly”: I can assure you there’s nothing fake and scripted. Sure, I had to walk into the mine to set the cameras down to get the shot but how would you have done it? On more than one occasion and in more than one video Mr M explained his tea cup. To be quite honest the reason for my channels success is because it’s NOT fake and scripted so I don’t quite understand your opinion. Also, why take sides? That’s just silly.

    People really tore this place up. I knew where you were when you came out at the top of the ball mill and panned over to the now burned out control room. Wonderhussy did a video here 4 years ago before all of the vandalism.

    This was a crazy adventure. I was involved in the reconditioning of the Eagle mine near Ishpeming MI. I’m very familiar with ball mills and the separation and filtering of the concentrates. Great episode.

      “Gly”: Thanks Jeff! I always kind of figured you lived somewhere around this neck of the woods. We’re going to try to produce bunch of episodes in the coming weeks so we have some wiggle room and so that we’re not up against the wall each week to get an episode out. After that it would be fun to get with ya and head out to a site to do a collaboration. We can let ol Slim, Mr Bill, Bobbie and my duck Quackers play in the sandbox while we explore a mine or mill site somewhere. That would be fun! I’ll contact you privately in a few weeks or so.
