      My Grandma had colon cancer in the early 1980s. She had eaten alot of processed meats, nitrate and nitrite cured and since I quit eating the same meats my colon polyps have almost all disappeared. I am 64 years old and am disabled. I was hit by an SUV while, I was in a crosswalk and am dealing with the problems associated with that. I have to say that I am curious as to whether or not Gly ate alot of processed and nitrate/nitrite cured meats throughout his life.

    Interesting. I had a somewhat similar experience, except it was with psoriatic arthritis rather than cancer… It left me bedridden for three years and me thinking my life was over before I finally got the correct diagnosis and treatment. That kind of experience changes your perspective on a lot of things... As I was slowly coming out of that is when I really got into the mine exploring.

    • @ChurchOfTheHolyMho
      @ChurchOfTheHolyMho 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a friend who has psoriatic arthritis, and I didn't know just how painful that could be. Glad that you found effective treatment. Definitely enjoy your videos as well.
      It's amazing the therapeutic power of nature on the physical body and mind. Absolutely great to get away into mountains and unwind. Just another aspect / commonality to the mine exploration videos.

    • @TVRExploring
      @TVRExploring 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@ChurchOfTheHolyMho Thank you. It came on slowly with a painful, swollen right knee and gradually spread through more and more of my body and the pain kept getting worse. The doctors had no clue and so I went through all sorts of painful and useless procedures from physical therapy to even having surgery on the knee and, of course, none of that helped. I ended up not even being able to cross a small room without assistance. Pretty horrible, but that sort of experience sure allows me to appreciate being able to do what I do in these old mines (and elsewhere) now.

    Gly I totally get it I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian in 2014 after a 8 hour surgery and partial bowel reconstruction I was put on a combo of taxol and carboplatin with follow up of Neuprogen. I have bad neuropathy and not great balance but im a determined old broad who will never say die. I've had a recent re occurrence and started back on chemo two weeks ago. Yet I still continue to go explore intetesting places with either my old Cherokee or my more comfortable 4x4 exterra. About 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with end stage renal failure (a.k.a. Kidney Disease). I've had to have a few surgeries and spend three days a week at a dialysis treatment center. I spend 4 hours each treatment day connected to a machine that filters my blood. I'm disabled and can't get around much anymore. So, one thing I like to do while on the machine or recovering at home is to watch RV traveling and mine exploration videos. It keeps me occupied (keeps my mind off the bad stuff) and lets me experince new things and places. So, I would like to give you and all the other mining channels out there a big shout out and to thank you all for taking all the time and trouble of putting all these videos together. Believe me, it's much appreciated and really helps us folks who are going through a bad situation in our lives. Stay safe and be well, Gly & Mr. M.

Love watching your adventures, and knowing you are a 3 year survivor makes them even more exciting!! Now, this video, watching you go into those caves and letting those bats fly by without even a flinch!!! OMGosh!!! I’d have been out of there in a flash!! Keep up the good work!!!
