Awsome video! I fly out of KHQZ so it’s cool to see someone share their flying experience that flys in the area.

Hey! I'm based at KGPM too! Currently a student pilot with Aviator Air, really close to my Private. Hope to see you around sometime!

Hello Jackson I’m about 10 minutes from GPM with high aspirations to fly. Any information you can provide on Aviation Air would be greatly appriciated

@@heemanwebber It's fantastic! Everyone is super nice and helpful, plus your training is at your own pace.

@@heemanwebber I recommend Aviation Air - that's where I got my training and they help me out with all kinds of things.

Very cool looking at night. What kind of plane was it. I’m retired now and have time I would love to get my license but I’m a big guy at 390 lbs and I don’t think I would fit in them training planes very good. Keep up the videos

What an awesome video! I am working on my last night flight which was about 4 weeks ago. Is there a reason you did taxi-backs vs. a plain ole stop 'n and go?

Thanks! I’m glad you liked it. I’m looking forward to my next night flight.
From KGPM’s rules and regulations: Rule 34. STOP AND GO APPROACHES. Stop and go maneuvers on the runways of Grand Prairie Municipal Airport are prohibited when the Grand Prairie Control Tower is closed.

@@jonathanszarzynski That's interesting. Is that something that applies only to tenants? How would a random pilot know about this? I did my stop and goes at KTKI after ATC Zero.

@@WolfPilot these are good questions that I don’t know the answers to. I know that rule because I received the rules when I leased a hangar. (And they recently sent out an update)

@@jonathanszarzynski Ah hah... Sounds like tenant rules only. I can't think of a single place in the FAR/AIM that would govern stop and goes after ATC0.

FAR 61.57(b) Requires full stop landings for night currency. Touch and Go's do not qualify.
