I added a hydrofoil and trim tabs. Completely different boat out on the water. Steps up almost instantly now. And best of all no more porpoising. They are 100% worth the investment in my humble opinion.
The point of a hydrofoil is to lift the boat up for less water drag and make it go faster, not push the boat lower into the water in general. Although I really like how to got it to work in a way you wanted it to
I have a similar setup: Suzuki 6HP and 11ft boat. With 2 passengers and some load it plains in “perfect condition” but with some waves, wind or more load it won’t. Do you think a hydrofoil will help me? There are some great metallic branded OzHydrofoil that look great.
I love how much effort you went through to make it all ghetto: the vice grips, the osb, the garden hose, etc. I enjoyed the video. Thanks!
Amazing how a little part added to a motor can change the performance. Great job

Your design is perfect, now just make video laminating it with fiberglass.

It might help forsure I would try and
Load more weight to the front of the boat.
If you have a short transom 15” boat and you used a long shaft outboard 20” would a hydrofoil work to get you up on plane ?
It should you have to try it out and see how you like it.
I have a 5hp yhamha with a 8feet boat and it dont plane could it be that the moterr is to deep
hit it with a sander bro, your golden
Cant afford hydrofoil pulls out chainsaw and power tools
Great video, good tips 👍 boat seems to be running faster!
How much hp does the motor make? and do you know good 3hp motors ?
Well done.....great fun!
I miss that boat. Nice to see it in good hands and good use, Andy!
Good hands?😂
McDonald's, and Uber, are looking for great talent like yours.
Is this supposed to be a comedy channel, this guy is hilarious? It’s like he makes things up as he goes along to make his baseless points.
Watching in 2022... That guy just hacked up 100 dollars of ply for a 50 dollar hydrofoil lol
Make the back of the "foil" sharp to reduce drag
Haha nice man that actually worked out pretty well! Love the precision chainsaw too lol
would help if you weren't using a semi displacement hull
Great video guys 👍
Have you been working out?
Love it brotha🤘
Love your creation !!!!
Duuuude I'm gonna have to try that
Cool stuff
...mmmmm, I am a "cheap stuff guy"....but I don't treat it that way...that's what keeps it cheap.
Complains about a 50$ hydrofoil while he uses a 300$ chainsaw
BRO, you Canadian? EH??
Beautiful lake!!
Hilarious!
Mean Multigrip Mother.....

Good video!
