These were great cars in so many ways. They did, however, fall into the hands of terrible owners who never did any maintenance and let them turn into junk. The 2010 and later had the 5.0 V8, which was more powerful but also a bigger pain to live with with its appetite for water pumps and increased complexity. The 4.2 of the 2008 and 2009 was much better, if not as lightning quick. Both S-types and XF’s were great to drive when well-kept though.
@@fry.master MW has always been weird with quarter mile times. C&D got a 13.6 @107 out of the XF in 2009 which is much more indicative of what it is capable of. Slow? No. Trash? Debatable.

The front of the car(Almost) has a similar look to the Lexus GS series minus the 4 headlight face.
14.2@104 is almost as slow as the 93 honda prelude vtec
Uhhh, no. No stock Prelude was trapping 100+ mph.
@@sleeksilver it did a 14.5 @ 95 in 1993. Watch the video.
@@fry.master that's NOWHERE close to 104mph. Each 10th is about a car length, have you ever been drag racing???
@@sleeksilver its .3 of a second, 3 car lengths on a 90s honda should not be that close. This is slow trash even new
