I think some of those people who had problems with it was because it's a young girl with lingerie on, and some of those people may have had issues with sexual abuse and pedophiles growing up...so I can understand the negative reaction to that drawing.

Just a tip for just about anyone who wants to do inktober:
Try doing rough sketches ahead of time on days where you have a bunch of energy to draw. As long as you ink/clean them on the right day you'll still technically be doing inktober, and this way you don't really have to stress yourself out about coming up with something in the spot.
Been doing this myself for the past 3 years (including 2 mermays), and I'd highly recommend it in order to at least get past the first half.

your sketchbook videos are always my favorites, i find myself taking tons of screenshots, some for reference, most to look at later and marvel at. your art makes me really happy, and i hope it makes you happy as well! keep improving (at your own pace), and drink plenty of water! :)

star guardian janna is melting my heart. as a janna main i had to do a double take when i first saw it.
its funny listening to you ramble about how u hate (well maybe not *hate* ) doing traditional art and feel much more comfortable with digital art, whilst I'm over here on the other end, doin aye-ok with traditional art and failing miserably with digital art! I CAN'T FIGURE OUT LAYERS AND THE LINES ARE REALLY SHAKY OK-
Im good at traditional and decent at digital. Idk its like limiting to me?
i’m not sure what program you use, but i use procreate and I find that adjusting the streamline of the brush you’re using (it gives it a little bit of a pull) makes my lines much smoother! also not going in at full opacity and working the color up helps a lot too! I also download third party brushes as i find the procreate ones kinda limiting, so it might help to find ones that work better for yoy
You'll get used to the layers soon enough and for the lines, practice or maybe the stabilizer
I recommend trying concepts! It’s really nice and it has a fix pen (which makes nice clean lines)!
