Just finished removing 400 square feet of cutback, the 747 worked great. Some lessons learned: Use a pair of old shoes with good traction (the 747 combined with the cutback is very slippery), let the 747 sit for at least 30 minutes, covering with cheap plastic can help with evaporation, you can use a wet vac to pick up the 747 cutback waste, using a flat nozzle, or a squeegee helps with this, the waste in the vacuum can be used for a first pass on initial stripping, this extends the use of the solvent, after removal we had good luck with Rust-Oleum degreaser, tried a couple of other brands, but the Rust-Oleum worked best. Any remaining sticky spots of cutback can be removed with mineral spirits if you run out of 747 like we did, another (more expensive) remover worked a little better, but was $38 per gallon and not available locally; finally, keep curious cats away to save time cleaning paw prints on carpet and washing kitty feet.

Any idea if it will remove varnish on wood? Trying to get carpet glue off wood without removing the varnish.

We also just used the sentinel on our basement and worked like a charm.

Tried Sentinal 747. Returned Sentinel 747. Did not budge any adhesive.

You used the wrong Krud Kutter. The one you have is just a cleaner/degreaser. There is a Krud Kutter Adhesive Remover product comes in a purple label.

We let it sit for 10-20 minutes first, used the wire brush on the thicker parts so the chemicals would penitrate better, then scraped and brushed in one direction. Then we poured the kitty litter on the goopy pile, mixed it around, and when it absorbed, we swept it up. Very messy job, but it came clean. Knee pads help alot, and rubber gloves. Good luck!

Thanks, man. I was already leaning towards the Sentinel 747 for our floor mess and this video sealed the deal. Quick question - did you just dump kitty litter over all of it after it sat for a while or did you scrape/brush the entire area first?

Brian Wolfe It needs to be wire brushed first.
