I've used this product for scraping carpet adhesive. The only different process was that I applied super hot water on top of the adhesive remover to help soften it up and let me tell you it worked wonderfully.

Thank you for posting this. I had tried so many things trying to remove liquid nails from my entire sub floor. I was about to rent a commercial floor sander and do serious damage. Your overnight under plastic method worked beautifully. Saved me a lot of repair work.

You are using the wrong scraper. The one you have is for scraping up tile, which is why it has the rebar step on the side to help put weight on the stroke when needed. That type is also used to remove gum and/or tar from sidewalks. The one you want has a 4 to 6 inch replaceable RAZOR BLADE.

8 inch razor scraper would’ve been better. Similar to that one but sharper. All in all you did a really great job.

Interesting. I just watched the video by Got It Made. He put down a little less than recommended, poured it, spread it with a broom, and waited 1.5 hours. The glue (and paint below, came up easy with a scraper. There was also much less mess. Although he may only had to deal with one layer of glue.

Got it Made was using the proper scraper with a replaceable razor blade. Wolvarine airsoft is using a tile and thinset scraper, which is why it is not sharp from the factory. Wrong scraper for the wrong job.

Something to look into get yourself a 175 floor buffing machine ( the ones you see people use to strip wax off floors) . I just got done removing glue off a Vct tile floor the customer wanted waxed later. He had glued on LVT in areas over it. They changed the layout of the store and removed the LVT. They called me to remove the glue and restore the tile under neath. First I applied glue remover then did some scraping. The remaining glue I grabbed the 175 applied wax stripper. The rest came off real easy. I had one section where the glue wasn't as thick. This area I just applied stripper, no glue remover product. Let it dwell for 30 minutes ( put down a lot of stripper 3 parts water to one part stripper) flooded it good . With the 175 buffer machine and a black pad it came all off like butter.

What a mess. For future reference to anyone in a similar situation look into renting an edco machine with carbide scraper blades. One person can do this size of room in a day.

Haha! Those floor scrapers actually do come sharpened, but the blade is flipped around to protect you and the blade. You just have to take the screws out and flip the blade around before using.

Like owning a knife, you and own one, no one needs to own one without the skill to sharpen it. All steel will become worn, after use. Having knowledge to sharpen on correct angles isn’t difficult but learning that skill save you from blade replacement’s

I'm going to get this product now. I'm on my 2nd failed product trying to remove vinyl adhesive from concrete and just set off the fire alarm trying my heat gun. 🤦‍♀️ I am at my wits end!!!

Just used this stuff on my flooring to get up adhesive from peel and stick tile but it left a greasy finish on my floors even after mopping with water and degreaser. Is this just me?
