I dont understand the italian team. Yes, Giulia might have bombed out in the snatch, but she could have easily gotten a medal in the cnj. She can cnj around a 100, that would have been more than enough for a medal.
Same thing was last year with her team mate Lucrecia who made 0 in snatch,but didnt go in cnj and I wonder why.I would like that Gulia came and tryed cnj.She can cnj 100 kg and could take a silver in cnj.In Qatar in december last year she did 85 kg in snatch.
The polite way of putting it is “they lack mental toughness”. She was breaking down and crying after her last attempt, so she was probably in no shape to lift anything anymore. Plus, they are all pampered with this “i’ll just weigh in and won’t compete” mentality, that their competitive spirit is just neutered these days.

When being a woman you can easily be in Giulia’s place. It could be that you’re are with PMS or let’s say your period first day 🤦🏼♀️ and so you’re very aware that you’re weaker… you might also fail when warming up or something hurts and you’re already angry without even stepping on the platform. I don’t know her but I think her main problem is her relationship with herself. I have no authority to say this but I have been there and still is a struggle for us perfectionist people to be kind to ourselves and to see things clearly when we fail or feel we can’t control our mind, our bodies or our performance… We tend to focus on what’s wrong or “not good enough”, magnifying it.. and being harsh with ourselves will never lead us to anything good because we depend on US! and if we don’t treat ourselves with love and compassion, we don’t have the resource. Ps. I’m confused about why she tends to go on their feet’s ball always at the first pull, risking the entire lift and that’s not being corrected…. But it might be my ignorance. IDK. Congrats Mihaela🎉

Strenght is mostly starting on 2nd- 3rd day for what I’ve acknowledged so far, that’s why my comment says DAY 1 of the period :) For me personally peak strength are on days 11-15 of my cycle. (Ovulation on day 17). But grounding and sun bathing at least 20’ can do WONDERS too. (I’ve been very close to getting new PRs on very “weak” hormones days just because I was 1-2h at the beach that same day earlier) After that I’ve done some research and it’s mostly the way our bodies recharge (by sun exposure) and grounding (we recharge and transmute the energy through the magnetic field of the earth) it also accelerates wounds & muscle or any kind of injury healing. ✨⚡️✨
