I have an upgrade spring and piston kit in my LGV and I can use heavier pellits over longer distance which helps the accuracey when I am anygood. The LGV is heavy but still a good quality instrument it really improves ones shooting results as the skills are learn't and applied. Thankyou for your wonderfull lessons in springer shooting over the past many years. All Be Blessed.
I had an LGV, most accurate spring gun I ever shot. I sold it to my cousin cos as well as being heavy I just found it too easy. Only thing I really regret selling, they're hard to get hold of now. My cousin takes it everywhere with him, when he's not shooting it's in the boot of his car.
Great way of showing the rifles capabilities. LGUs are not my cup of tea but I am sure that this tuned one is a very fine rifle. Thanks guys for putting in the effort.
A great video folks, I shoot an HW80k in .22 tuned by Sandwell Field Sports, it's 29 years old and after the tune I could not believe the difference, it's a different rifle now. Thanks for your time and effort, ATB.
The work you put into your review s is scond to non , the work that the lads @ Sandwell do has to be some of the best in the world, I've had 3 of my 5 hw springers done by them and their brilliant, cheers lads all the best..
That is some very consistent and accurate shooting for a springer Davy. When pneumatics first came out they were all the rage, but springers are not far behind now with regard to accuracy. When it comes to maintenance and running costs and probably also initial purchase price, the springer wins hands down. Both my PCP's have had to be serviced at quite some expense because they lost pressure . I think these springers will run for longer with fewer issues. Sandy
Hi Coops. I am thinking of adding a Springer to my collection. I can see the benefits of the self contained power source. No pump or bottle needed. Yes have heard a lot of good things about Sandwell.
I love my Walther Sandwell Field Sports tuned LGU. I'm consistently hitting 7mm blank cartridges at 45 yards easily, and I'm not a good shot! These tuned LGU are fantastic.
VerminHunters " kick ass " .. pity I'll never be as good , nonetheless I still love shooting on my own makeshift range .. recon a " VerminHunters tv " tee shirt / sweat shirt / hoodie would be a fantastic idea .. be a good Xmas prezzie , would beat the s**t out of socks or old spice ... Love these vids ..
Great review guys. Always a joy to watch your videos. Lot of passion for airguns and airgun shooting. Maybe the next springer will be a Walther LGU. Keep up the good work.
I am a fan of 'springer type' air rifle, and this video shows why. I would really like to see a review on a standard model Walther LGU, as I don't live in England and therefore can't avail of the apparent excellent work done by the craftsmen at Sandwell Field Sports. If you guys have already done this review , I'll hopefully find it soon. Thanks for this Davy and Si....there's no problem to see why I have subscribed.
I use the LGV, 177 and achieving same results from factory spec. Shoot regular out to 55 to 60 yards at the club and get 1p clover type groupings using of all things H&N Excite econ 2 flat heads, shocked even me because these pellets are only 6 quid a tin and was expecting at that distance to be all over the place.
I used to have an LGV, wish I still had it, insane accuracy. Heavy but so well built, trigger not upto the rekord's standard but not as bad as some make out.
Hi Simon Davey love your videos after a long time my I have revitalise my interest in air guns last year unfortunately I purchased a stoger x 20 I spent 250 quid rifle teles bag ect joined a gun club. I is so bad to shoot the pellets probleby hit some one in the next county it was so inaccurate it would miss a jeratric duck at 5 feet I part ex it for an Walther l g u there is a god fantastic
Top review fellas don't suppose we can have a review on a LVG in 22 that has been tuned as I don't know of any one doing such a top job in tuning here in Aus and I have a LGV in 22 i was told mine has a comp trigger . Thanks for a great video cannot wait for the next episode
That chrony looks to be a bit of a schitt box. ;-) Thanks for the review, I love my LGV, wish I could get someone like SFS to tune it but a bit tricky being in Australia.
Great review guys great shooting . I was thinking of getting a 97 tuned by Sandwell but after watching this I am torn between the two my main rifle is a air wolf so not sure which would be better if any .
is it as good as a weihrauch hw98 please. im looking for a gun to target shoot indoors and on the farm. I will also be used to shoot vermin. love your videos. any advice would be welcome. I am left handed. the cost wouldn't be an issue although im not sure about pcs im old school. brake barrel or lever?RegardsBrian ReedWimborne Dorset
Hi I have a question I have two springer and I has hopping you could tell me what is the best distance to zero the rifles @ at one is a ( hw80 in 22) the other one is a ( hw50in 177) .
how can i shed a bunch of weight from my hw97k ??? its already heavy as f and ive put a hawke 6-24x50 sf 30 sw with the huge sunshade an parralax wheel...now its an absolute tank 😨...can the cocking arm be change for a carbon one ? and what cost would it be to swap absolutely everything possible from steel to titanium or carbon ? not intresting in pcp. 👍.
Hi there again another fine review, are you planning to use the LGU for vermin control or FT shooting, and just wondering after Davy's comment on the trigger, did you test the rifle before SFS tuned the rifle. I have one in 0.22 myself and am very pleased with it. Keep up the good work. Graham.
Hi Davy and Si i was wondering if you could recommend witch optic size would be best for a HW50. i was looking for a light wight scope, with that said i was looking at a 2x7x32 or a 3x9x40 , what due you think! I was looking at a hawke airmax brand but i would love to here what you guys think ,,, thank's keep the springer vids coming the pcp are to pricey for me .
Nice vid guys. Bought one from Sandwell not so long ago. Any idea on the twist rate of the barrel?? Did not find anything on the internet and the guys at SFS could not tell me either. Strelok pro would like to know it lol! All the best!
Hi Davy, great review and great shooting, I wanted to get the LGU or HW97k from SFS with stage 1 tune, I rang them yesterday but the guy on the phone told me the waiting list is around 16 to 18 weeks, is there any way that you can help with that to get it faster please. I know you guys know Tony from SFS.
Hi guys, having traded my HW97 in for a PCP (and feeling a bit underwhelmed by it) a while ago, I'm looking at either buying another HW97, or maybe opt for the LGU - what are your thoughts? is either better than the other, or are they pretty well matched?
pitty sandwell field sports wont ship to the us or Canada. nope they wont ship here. if they did tony would make a mint. can you get him to ship some to Canada or the states! I'm sure he can do it??
Thats really good going. I have a stock lgu master and its incredibly accurate, I heard a bit about trigger creep here. I don't get that with mine but I do need to adjust the second stage as its too heavy and can easily cause pulled shots. Perhaps one day ill get it tuned.
Great job ! Both from VHTV and Sandwell.!!! Very nice vid!!!!

How should tune a air rifle?
Great review and shooting Davy. Nice job.
I wish we had Sandwell Field Sport here in the USA.

Well done Si and Davy! makes me want to buy a Walther but no Sandwell here to tune it!

I had one of those, not a tuned one, it was a great gun apart from the trigger locking up all the time.
My LGV i used to have did that once, I had to play around with the adjuster grub screws until it fired again but that was the only time that happened.
That chrony looks to be a bit of a schitt box. ;-)
Thanks for the review, I love my LGV, wish I could get someone like SFS to tune it but a bit tricky being in Australia.

Great shooting, when chronographing a pcp do you do it with silencer on or off,?cheers.
Lowrider Hunter can do it either way.

Love Old School kicking-like-firearm springers. This is sucha great rifle
I was wondering, can the Walther Terrus be tuned by Sandwell field sports.?
bruce mahoney yes mate. Tony and John was clever tuners.
Thats pretty dam impressive!
Of all the springers you've had lads tuned or not which would you say is the best for target and vermin. ?
AA Express pellets are excellent! 😎
Hi there again another fine review, are you planning to use the LGU for vermin control or FT shooting, and just wondering after Davy's comment on the trigger, did you test the rifle before SFS tuned the rifle. I have one in 0.22 myself and am very pleased with it. Keep up the good work.
Graham.
Graham Boswell not that very rifle but maybe 7 or 8 others the same.
You could use it for any.
The rifle belongs to SFS so will be going back to them.
Is there any way you guys can do a review of the gamo swarm maxxim .22 or a similar model gas spring gamo?
Or maybe a gas spring gun in general.
Nice one Davy.
davey fantastic shooting at 8:55 WOW
Great review. Great shooting.
(Did that bloke get his pliers back (10:12)?)
Walther lgu vs weihrauch hw97k pros and cons what are your thoughts im tossing between the 2 i can't seem to decide

Nice shooting, would you take the LGU over the HW97KT? Cheers.
Nice vid guys. Bought one from Sandwell not so long ago. Any idea on the twist rate of the barrel?? Did not find anything on the internet and the guys at SFS could not tell me either. Strelok pro would like to know it lol! All the best!
Did the LGU put out 11+ft lbs straight from the box?
I am torn between one of these and a TX200HC in .177 cal but don’t want an underpowered rifle.
Dude, awesome..Canada..cheers
You are awesome guys, much better than a pcp ted and co..
Hi Davy, great review and great shooting, I wanted to get the LGU or HW97k from SFS with stage 1 tune, I rang them yesterday but the guy on the phone told me the waiting list is around 16 to 18 weeks, is there any way that you can help with that to get it faster please. Sorry made a mistake Walther LGV competition Ultra is what I meant ..
Id say the LGU is better mate as SFS did their magic on it.
Nice work great accuracy
Hi Guy;s, I've had my LGU about a year and not done a thing to it, what do's the Sandwell tuning involve?
On a par with the compatto target almost
Hi guys, having traded my HW97 in for a PCP (and feeling a bit underwhelmed by it) a while ago, I'm looking at either buying another HW97, or maybe opt for the LGU - what are your thoughts? is either better than the other, or are they pretty well matched?
See a man from Greece call him seerhan. He tuned guns from other planet. Believe me. Also nice video
So what the power they have???
what scope is that davey has on the LGU
Rick Baker I think it’s my MTC Mamba 3-12x42 ,cracking scopes for hunting and competition to.
pitty sandwell field sports wont ship to the us or Canada. nope they wont ship here. if they did tony would make a mint. can you get him to ship some to Canada or the states! I'm sure he can do it??

Christ 11.46 with 7.9 weight pellet, bloody hell that's close. bet that would be super close if not over 12 ftlb with a heavy .177
Cal. 4.5 or 5.5
yeah but how much out would an off the shelf lgu be compared to this really!!!
