You have to keep the RPM in the green areas for maximum efficiency. As the hint says: "Rotors perform best at 900 or 1800 RPM." The turbine obviously produces less energy if it's less efficient because the RPM is somwhere between 900 and 1800. That's why you can control the flow rate to adjust for peak efficiency.

Just a heads up on the turbines, they produce power when the blades spin due to the steam, when you ingage the coils they cause friction against the shaft speed creating power, so blade speed + best coil blocks with reinforced turbine parts = best turbine output. To generate power you need more coils, but because they generate friction you are limited by the force generated by the blades. To increase the force generated by the blades you need more blades and more steam. Look in the GUI for the efficiency number and can see if using more blades is necessary for the amount of steam you are generating.
@@anagram the old table it out of date, due to the mod been upadated and the table has been left in the past 😅 plus you can only make a 5x5x10? I think it was using the basic structure parts so he was limited to space

i did some digging in the files from extreme reactors and It seems like manyullyn is the best coil block (or enderium but I don't know if that's in the pack)
Problem is each block used to have a set x/multiplier for calculating the best block, but some blocks aren’t in the pack for example ludicrite was the best coil block but it doesn’t exist anymore

@@florian4792 radiation is not really a problem since u can void the waste with liquid trash cans. The problem is that its a lot of work and u would need to make the induction battery to store energy since the fission/turbine combo its kinda volatile if u let the turbine get full of energy.
More than that for larger ones. Also if you are just wanting power and not polonium you can do it in a compact machine. Then radiation isn't a problem even if everything goes wrong. Just note you can't get radioactive waste or polonium out of a compact machine, quantum entangloporters won't do radioactive stuff and they are gases.

They did that to the turbine because you use to be able to overclock it like crazy and make mad power. And since they never implemented the part where it was suppose to blow up they just did that. Makes it worth it to have a good set up now and not so broken.
Hi Chosen. Here's an idea. Use a detector from refined storage to automate your mystical agriculture essence crafting for an automatically produce those materials. It will save you so much time. Also, you should set an autocrafting recipe for wooden hoppers and for some Extreme Reactors 2 recipes.
I am going to try and get someone to make the Ghopper mod, a hopper which will pass items through a solid block to an inventory on the other side. Ghost hoppers. All so you will be correct in this.

Scientifically speaking, copper is a weaker conductor than gold, "Copper is a poor mans gold" so gold is probably the best block from turbine conduction coils

you can build simple mekanism gas burning generator with Ethylene it produce about 70k RF/T. if you dont want to use reactor. xD

You can make a 32x32x32 with the reinforced reactor.
Instead of using the 'plus sign' pattern of rods in the reactor, I'd suggest using either a checkerboard or stripes.
Why don't you use mekanism pipes now that you've automated all the alloys?
The pipez pipes require mekanism pipes in this pack.

No, copper is actually a better conductor than gold. Gold is sometimes used because it doesn't tarnish.
