So this one would look good painted olive drab with some U.S. Army decals. I'm surprised they don't offer that paint scheme from the factory. Maybe they they will in the future. I'm sure that adding that option would open this truck up to sales to a whole different audience.
I thought that too, but the chassis is a bit short, and the portals are a bit too high. Great idea though. A paint job is easy enough though. The yellow will take the drab well.

Thank you so much for mentioning the locked diffs. A popular channel said it wasn't locked diffs. Got very confused. I am waiting for it to show up and am very excited. Couldn't help myself from splurging on some weighted wheels since these don't have great grip and also some oil shocks cause want to seem them slow flexxxx!
@@RCGirl Yes yes. I ordered the power wagon cause of how great a crawler it is and I hear this from another review and I got shocked so I came back to yours and confirmed that the diffs are locked.

Just saw this and I see they have upgrades too. I Love that Toyota truck...the detail, WOW!! I bought the Wltoys 12428 because I can't afford the Axials. I'm on SSI so I can't afford much. Anyway, my ultimate rig is the Axial SCX10 ii with Rock pirates stuff. Hopefully I can find a used one to play with. I'm here in So Cal. and I like the way you build. Overall I like it. I got the yellow one. The nice thing is the slow speed control and no esc whine. I got the c-hub freebee. I wish I got a second battery. The O rings are for the shocks to make them oil filled. I did it on mine, and it hasn't leaked yet
Hoping since you had all 3 you'd have them out, sometimes you can't really tell or decide between colors, I do prefer the red one. Think they do look better with the cage on.

For your flickering headlights, do you have anti-flickering on your camera on? I use that a lot when I’m doing work near LED Panels/big flat screen tv. That should help.
Can someone tell me what type of plug is on the battery? It's not JST of PH2. I have nothing like it and would like to make an adapter so I can use my real charger rather than the little thing that came with it. Just received mine and looking forward to testing it out. The body clips are a bit of a PITA, but guess I'll get used to them. Seems like every RC I get has a different plug! Geesh! I wish we could standardize these things a bit so I didn't need twenty different adapters, and/or so limited on the batteries that will work. Also need to know the battery plug type so I can try to find a spare with the correct plug. I HATE trying to swap plugs on these tiny wires!

Hey! So for my rc4wd trucks, I use a 5.5" scale driver from ebay But for my bigger 1/10 scale stuff like an SCX10.3 or trx-4, you'll want a 7" driver. Neca makes a lot of different female versions worth checking out. Radio system is WAYYY too complex for something that should only need a simple 2-channel system! I've had R/C cars in the past and can't even get this thing moving. I get a steadily blinking red LED on my receiver when I power everything up for the first time and get no throttle or steering response at all. Not impressed so far.
I got one of these from FMS through Amazon and when I opened it I found that even tho it is a two-speed RC FMS sent me cheap 1-speed controllers that overheated within two minutes of turning them on. Nothing worked. If I send it back then FMS will refund me the money back to Amazon and I will never see the money again. I will just have to take a loss on this one but you can be sure that I will NEVER get anything from FMS again.

The FCX24 Max Smashers come with unlocked diffs but the PW's come locked

Cool, any issue with the plastic gears? someone else said he stripped the portal axle gear.
@@Mikupigeon I haven't had any issues so far. If the rig gets wedged I stop. When the metal gears come out then I will hammer it more.

The two back wheels stopped working in 20 minutes of driving. Kinda hard to crawl with front wheel drive

I believe the issue was the right headlight would blink when turning right, for example. Not a frame rate issue. :)
