You are one of the best shaving TH-camrs I have ever seen. Please keep up the incredible work. You are a godsend for us bald guys. Another razor to try is the Bulldog shaving cartidges. They are sold at Walgreens and CVS. Take care!
Hi kmelkian - Thank you for watching, the very kind words and the product suggestion! Bulldog products are definitely on our list of upcoming reviews, so stay tuned. Thanks again!
Good video but obviously you don't have a problem with sensitive skin (which was the main purpose of this razor!). I've had a terrible problem with ingrown hairs, razor bumps and razor burn. I had been using Double Edge razors since joining the Army (1960). Since using this this razor for the last 7 months, I've only had one ingrown hair (my fault - too many shaves on the blade) and two razor bumps (same reason). I have about 30 high end DE razors and none of them compared to the SkinGuard! You're right though, it won't give you as close of a shave as a DE with a good blade. I think that it's not meant for BBS results. DFS, you bet! I like the idea of the new Ball Handle which I'll be ordering soon (just because). Thanks for doing the review.
Hi Dick Hirsch! First and foremost - thank you for your service!!! Second, thank you for watching, commenting and the kind words - I'm glad you enjoyed the video! And finally third, you are correct-ish. :-) I rarely suffer from ingrown hairs, but I do have pretty sensitive skin, so the razor burn can be pretty brutal. I quickly grabbed this one from the Gillette website because they finally offered something for "free" and I was really eager to review one of their products. After using it and then doing more research, it makes perfect sense what scenario it was created for - ingrown hairs, razor bumps and razor burn. I was really surprised by the amount of work it took to get through the shave cream. Anyway, Gillette has since added the ProGlide Shield Starter Kit to try for "free". So all that to say I'm super happy that it's great solution for you, sir! Stay safe!!!
What after shave do you use after shaving your head? I use nivea toner with vitamin c,aloe vera ,witch hazel lavander, and nivea men sensitive after shave balm.0%alcohol and parfum or gillette balm after shave sensitive skin.
Gillette skinguard is good razor, but in my videos I use Gillette fusion proglide flexball or proshield chill flexball. I prefer mach3 turbo.i shave my head 3 times a week with Gillette fusion prosheild flexball chill or proglide flexball, sometimes mach3 turbo. Nice video
Hi, Matteo! Thanks for watching and commenting! There will be a ProGlide Shield review coming up soon, so stay tuned. I used to use the Mach 3 way back when I first started shaving my head, so THAT is a walk down memory lane. :-) Thanks again!
Do you use a shave bowl and brush when you shave or do you just take some shave cream and lather it by hand on your head? Also can you PLEASE make more videos soon including product reviews and a real head shaving A-Z tutorial? I love the content on this channel and would really enjoy more videos.
Hi Zak! I currently do not use a bowl and brush, just hands and head, BUT I've been curious about including it in my routine, so I've been planning out a series of reviews for those products and that journey. And I cannot thank you enough for the super kind words of encouragement - it's so great to know that you find this information helpful!!! I've been super busy planning out the next phase of content, so there are definitely more videos coming - they just take a lot of work to make. Stay tuned, I'm working on it - promise. :-) Thanks again!
Using a non lathering cream with the Skinguard makes it shine. I use Billy Jealousy with this razor and it makes all the difference in the world. Not the closest shave in the world, but great for sensitive skin.
+Not a Hair Model Did you receive the shaving cream and box of new blades two weeks after receiving the main kit? Since the Starter kit quotes, "After two weeks, you'll receive your first box of new blades and full-size Pure Shave Cream, and all future shipments will arrive based on your chosen subscription frequency."
Hi Niket Thakker! I did indeed receive the box two weeks later. I wish they would have at least included a travel-size shave cream since the “full-size Pure Shave Cream” was shipping later. Seems like an odd setup and attempt to get people hooked on certain products. What are your thoughts?
Loved the video. You do such great and amazing videos, well detailed, well thought out, well explained, and clearly totally different to my style of videos. I litterally film it on my phone and upload it, not editing etc (I found that boring and I stopped producing). Seriously great work. Would like to find out more about your merchandise and how that works. It's interesting also that we have different views and experiences, as I liked the Skinguard cartridge (but again not the handle). Yet I was not such a fan of the DSC Unilever razor. I look forward to the next review, I just did the Pacific shave cream, and I must admit I really did like it, which is going to be fun if I want more in future considering I am in the UK 🤣🤣🤣 Fortunately some specialist sell it over here (just more than I would normally pay). On a side note I have plenty more props to test, so maybe not such a problem really.
Thank you so much for the super kind words and feedback! Yeah, let's talk off YT about your merchandise questions - I'm happy to help however I can. I thought I would like this razor more than I did. When I ordered it I was reading the description thinking "I have sensitive skin. I have razor bumps. This should work great!" Nope, not so much. That handle is SO slippery. In the near future I'm going to be reviewing their other "free" starter kit, the ProGlide Shield, so that'll be interesting to compare the two. Pacific Shaving is really great stuff and I have another vid planned for more of their stuff, too, so stay tuned. Again, thank you for your comments and support - I REALLY appreciate it!
Hi B Editz. I haven’t tried that yet but I would assume that it depends on the length of the hair. I would make it as short as possible with clippers first. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes. Good luck!
Hi Zak! Thank you so much, kind sir!!! Yep, there’s a whole bunch of them planned and some of them are already shot and almost done, so you’ll start seeing them very soon. Thank you SO much for supporting the channel and don’t forget to grab your FREE stickers: notahairmodel.com/free-stickers/
SKIN GUARD having only two blades means the blades get dull faster than the five Fusion blades because two blades doing the job means each blade has to do more of the work than one blade out of five. And yet SKIN GUARD costs as much as the Fusion.

They are the best! The smoothest, shave, ever, and never any cuts or nicks!

@@NotAHairModel good shave do you use safety razors for head shaving
@terrellking4174 Not yet, but I’m working towards it. Hybrids are next and will then add in safety razors.
Can use on chest area???? From India

100% agree. This 1 is not good at all. I have i have tried and absolutely didn't like it
If you were rinsing the blades you would have had a better shave the blades were clogged up with hair and you were not rinsing
You look like the guy from breaking bad..
Hi Mike! HA!!! Um, thanks... I think.
Gillette sent me this razor for free because I turned 18. Rather stay with my current razor.
Happy Birthday! What’s your current razor?
@@NotAHairModel Gillette mach 3 I believe I use what my dad bought me. I however decided to learn so I started looking up razors.
