On my Skull & Co grip i use the triggergrip on the left and the large rounded grip on the right to kinda simulate the Satisfye style. Very comfy combination.
I was thinking of that combo too , one of the reasons I’m leaning more towards the skull & co grip as opposed to the satisfye, another being the ability to dock the switch with the grip still on
On Skull & Co’s losable small piece, i actually did lose that locking piece for the top of the grip thanks to a certain 2 year old gamer of mine. I emailed them and while they dont offer that specific replacement, they said if i reordered the whole grip and provided them the order number, they would refund the cost of the order minus shipping. Not a perfect solution but pretty cool of them.
Same thing happened to me last week. They told me to make a new order, but it could be ANY order, you didn't have to order the grip again. I order some cheap screen protector and they are sending it to me and refund me the money along with the clip .
My favorite switch accessory was this rubbery case that had a detachable flap that would cover the screen. It also has some slight grips to it too which was nice. It served as a grip and a super lightweight case that adds no severe bulk to the device.
That is my favorite too! I feel like no one is talking about it. One thing, I’m considering getting the split pad pro, but will it fit on the case? Since there are little prods form the back of the split pad pro
I went with the Hori Split Pad Pro and bought a case made for it and the OLED Switch. Couldn't be happier. Makes the Switch bulky but as a person who 99% of the time uses handheld. Nothing beats this.
I got the binbok joycons on a whim a while back after reading the reviews, and I reaaaly like them. I was very pleasantly surprised with them as far as being third party controllers from a random company I’ve never heard of.
I'm really enjoying my binbok controllers they're essentially hori split pad pro controllers that didn't forget to forgo some features. And for the most part those features aren't needed except for gyro I am completely baffled and amazed that the split pad pro does not have at least gyro some games really lean on that for the switch and not having it sucks balls.
Same here. I like that they keep motion controls, have rumble and can be used as a secondary full controller. It actually lead me to play more often in portable mode since I can actually control much better with actual analog sticks.
I love basically everything about my binbok joycons. I got a newer model that doesn't have the shitty dpad however my left thumb stick feels way worse than my right thumb stick... just my experience with them
I never used any alternatives on my OG Switch, but noticed more weight on the OLED that led to more discomfort. I invested in the Grip Case From Skull & Co and i love it. I alternate from the small ones on the go and switch to the trigger grips when at home. Big improvement for long gaming sessions.
My Satisfye grip for my Switch OLED model that I ordered back in early December JUST arrived about 2 weeks ago. Man those shipping delays were a pain in the ass, but the grip is absolutely worth it tho!
I ordered mine 12/20 and still waiting. Just got shipping on the NeoGrip I ordered yesterday. I preferred Satisfye with my Light so when I upgraded to the OLED it was the obvious choice. But I’ll take the product I can get.
EVERYBODY LISTEN UP. The best grip for the oled switch is the OVIO grip on Amazon. Holds 5 switch cartridges and has an awesome stand that’s durable and can help playing in handheld mode. Has the same hand kick out so the hands are way more comfortable than skull and co. And I know I have both. People it’s only 16 bucks on Amazon… You’re welcome✌🏼
I've tried a LOT of the options and my favorite for comfort is definitely the Satisfye grip though for some games like Smash Bros where you want some slightly beefier joysticks and buttons the Bin Bok controllers feel a lot more ergonomic than the Hori split pad pro.
It depends entirely on what game you are playing and how you like to play. I play all Indies in Table Top model with joycons. I play all Fighting games with a Pro controller. When docked I prefer to play with Grip or pro controller. If I play portable shooters or platformers I use my pro controller screen holder. Portable if playing RPG's I use my satisfy grip.
There is the OIVO grip and is one of the best grip ever as well, the grip holds 5 cartridge games on the back and it has a stand that you can set the switch in different angles, you should try that grip too there is for regular switch and OLED and is $15.. it's one of the best.
I had the satisfye grip for my old switch and loved it. Had ordered the new one but I live in Ireland so due to issues shipping out of HK it would be months by the time I got it so I cancelled the order. I got the hori split pad pro and loved it but didn't like the loss of joycon functions. I just picked up the crystal grip case and love it so far. So handy it can be docked as is too.
I've used my normal joycons for probably less than 20 hours and I've had my Switch since I think 2018. For handheld mode I literally only use the Hori Split Pad, its so much more comfortable and I don't even care about rumble.
I think I’ll give one of those split game pads a shot. It’s a shame that there’s no official split Pro controller. It’s a damn great controller. Great video.
@@mikeuk666 i have a Chinese knockoff that I got for a couple bucks off AliExpress, doesn’t work properly anymore. Sadly the fixture’s delivery to my country is just insane.
I bought these clip-on grips for the joy-cons, which weirdly each side has a slot to store a switch game in. I'm just happy the OLED's joy-cons are the same size as other joy-cons, as they fit well, and the black contrasts nicely with the white joy-cons.
The Hori is the best! Great grip and good buttons & sticks. No history of stick drift. Otherwise I'd choose the Skull Crystal grip as it's officially dockable. It can also be used with a mountable battery like the Gulikit. These are my recommendations.
Worth noting- Soon Hori is releasing an accessory that will let you use the split pad pro like a pro controller, unattached to the system. They will also be optionally bundling with future versions of the split pad pro.
I experimented with the grips on the Skull and Co and noticed you can emulate the Satisfye grip by using the trigger group on the left side, and the larger rounded grip on the right side. Definitely comfortable!
I have Satysfe and Hori Split pad pro. I think owning both are beneficial, because Satisfye is a great daily driver, but split pad is great for FPS. Only downside with split pad is remapping the back button being limited to a button on each control pad. (Left control pad can’t use X, Y, A or B that you would typically use, since those buttons are in the right control pad). So I remap my right side to Jump and leave it at that.
Love this video! I got to meet you at the Team Crispy event in LA some years back and it's been so nice to see your channel grow throughout the years. Please keep up the good work!

Finally got to pick up the Switch OLED a couple days ago. Ordered the Neogrip because I have the Gripcase for my Pokémon Sword and Shield Switch Lite and really liked the interchangeable grips. Really glad I got the Neogrip as it fits well and feels great. Planning on picking up different colors of the interchangeable grips to match my Joycons.
Man if only satisfye made a dockable grip. It would be so great. I had to go with the skull and co neo though about half the price and potentially dockable was too good to pass up.
As someone who has tried pretty much every option out there, my top 3 choices are: #1 Fixture S1 mount for the Switch pro controller. Unfortunately the S2 hasn't come out for the Oled yet, but it's fantastic for the older switch versions. #2 The Hori split pad pro and finally #3 the Satisfy grip Right now I go between the Hori S.P.P. and Satisfy grip pending on which game I'm playing. When Fixture finally releases the S2 for the Switch Oled, that's definitely going to be my main way of playing because there's nothing like playing on your Nintendo pro controller anywhere

I went Hori split pad for most of the gaming at home and the skull and co grip case for when I take the switch out of the house. I have the white oled and wanted and option that could be removed all the time without worrying about scratching the joy cons
When I first got my oled I didn’t have a satisfy for it. I ordered one but it was back ordered for 2 months. I went and got the split pad pro and loved them! Still use my satisfy preferably tho
Docking the Skull n Co case also blocks the USB ports on the side (or at least the larger grips do). I remove the joycon to remove the switch from this case as I don't want to break the little catch.
The only real benefit of the grips over the split pad option is that they can come with cases for your switch so you don’t have to keep taking them on and off when traveling. Other then that there is no benefit of them over the split pad version.

You forgot to mention that the binbox or Nyxi 3rd party joycons can act as a wireless pro controller outside of handheld mode for tabletop or docked mode , that why i picked them over the Hori split pad pro (not everyone can afford both a pro controller and joycons )with the BinBox and Nyxi you get 2 for the price of 1
Ironically, I've used both joy in replacement's and the hori is way less comfortable and gives me hand cramps because of its flat back while the binbok has actual grips that are there to hold on to and feel like a real controller.
My favorite is currently the MobaPad M6. They look very similar to the Hori Split Pad Pros, but they have gyro controls and rumble. It has some shortcomings, but it does have awesome sticks and mechanical buttons.
Satisfy Grip Switch Lite or bust for handheld play tv and pro controller otherwise. I feel like the OG Switch and JoyCons feel cheap if you’re not using a Satisfye Grip.
I use the Grip case with the small attachments on the go. I dont wear tight jeans so i can easily slide this in my back pocket if i need to. But for the most part i carry around a small backpack for my Switch and accessories. I take my Switch everywhere with me even if its a 5 min trip.

My favourite accessory has to be my bin bok joycons
Binboks joy cons are the best option for handheld
Just ordered the new splatoon neogrip.I believe they made it slimmer to dock more easily
Sweet, jacket! Very military techwear-ish.
*This is great, thank you.*
My favorite is currently the MobaPad M6. They look very similar to the Hori Split Pad Pros, but they have gyro controls and rumble. It has some shortcomings, but it does have awesome sticks and mechanical buttons.
I honestly just use silicone covers for the joy cons and switch whenever I play handheld. Can’t really find replacements though
That grip case overheats the inside much faster I must say.
They updated the Neo-Grip where it is thinner and is easier to dock. Currently the Animal Crossing version do it.
Split pad pro are awesome
I like hand held the best my option
Go with Satisfye or the different joy con….skull & co, the neo grip feels very cheap and the grip handles don’t come off and on very easily.
I just bought the skull and Co
I would buy the satisfy grip but it isn’t available in Germany/Europe
That’s why I bought the skull & co
That best way to play switch handheld is with binbok joycons the big ones
satisfy in my opinion has insane prices like 40 pounds for the grip and 35 pound delivery but skull and co is only 20 pounds or less
Fixture S2 fits the switch oled
Satisfy Grip Switch Lite or bust for handheld play tv and pro controller otherwise. I feel like the OG Switch and JoyCons feel cheap if you’re not using a Satisfye Grip.
Great video. What is the name of the game shown in the video?
The video that I need!
Kevin can you do a video of zengrip pro & controller, what is the best option to get?
Skull&Co gripcase is way better than the neo grip imo
I wish for a Right side joycon with the stock above the buttons...just like the left joycon
Just got the oled it's great wish I got a switch years ago but I'm an xbox gamer lol
I like your `` plant" maybe... it can heal my wounds... if you know what I mean! And about the grips I prefer the skull ones!
I would like to know how do you and other switch users carry their switch with and without using 3rd party joycons
I use the Grip case with the small attachments on the go. I dont wear tight jeans so i can easily slide this in my back pocket if i need to. But for the most part i carry around a small backpack for my Switch and accessories. I take my Switch everywhere with me even if its a 5 min trip.
I'm a huge fan of satisfy but been using the fixture s1 alot lately
Also S2 fits oled
At what point do you take screen protector off and enjoy the “pristine” screen?
