I've lived in north Texas all of my 60 years. What you see is what we learn to hide from. They're on the south side, so they're OK... but something new could form at any time at their southwest. This is "racecar driver" dangerous. Storms in the south plains don't play.
@@kennygo8300 Well, Mother nature is not forgiving. I guess it's a different side of the coin if you are aware of what might happen. Thanks for fair warning :-)
@@kennygo8300 yeah, things can go from "ohh pretty" to "oh shit" in seconds. Thats why I was tagging along with experienced Weather trackers and forecasters because I was out of my area of expertise.
I was thrilled to get the notification of a new Nick Page video, and the video did not disappoint. Storm footage captures both drama and power in a single image. Impressive images and time-lapse photography. Be safe out there.
The best part of this video, other than the meadowlark singing, is your description of how it is to hunt for images in a challenging location, where there is no waterfall or sea stack or ready-made foreground. And something begins to happen in your mind where start seeing the beauty in a minimal composition with excellent light, and you feel so good and the artistic juices really get going! Nick, you are incredibly generous to share these visions, and photographic lessons. Thank you so much.
Awesome video Nick! I'm so happy to hear you say that you are feeling excited about photography again. I went through a huge slump last year myself. On a side note in regards to your recent post about whether or not your videos matter. I found your channel about 4 years ago. At that point in my life, I was sinking fast into anxiety and depression worse than ever before in my life. You and your videos reinvigorated me to get off the couch, go outside, take pictures and in doing so gave me the desire and strength to seek treatment. You make a difference. I'm living proof of that. Thank you for everything you do.
So glad to see you back Nick, really love to see your enthusiasm for storm photography. Awesome images and spectacular timelapses. Really enjoyed it pal 👍
See ?? This is you. Grand stuff, huge storms, mesmerising music, leave all the girl stuff for the Baxter’s, Heatons of this world. This stuff, the edge photography is you. Excellent, excellent video. Man I wished an American girl loved me, so I can move over there. What a paradise for photography.
Wow Nick! Well done. The time lapse sequences tell a whole different story about nature unleashed. And, as always, the still images (and your patented editing) are glorious! Thanks for sharing!! Oh, and speaking of waterfalls, I just spent the day shooting falls around Ithaca NY. Gotta come back!! Gerry
That was absolutely breath-taking.. Made myself a cup of coffee to drink while watching this vide, watch the video twice and coffee has gone cold......
Wow! So incredibly beautiful! The majesty of His power is real and you captured it perfectly! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with the world.
As much as I love the clear dark “Milky Way” skies that we have here in Idaho, I do miss the intense dramatic storms I experienced growing up in the south. Incredible images, Nick. So cool!
I'm glad that you finally were able to take in the beautiful stormy intensity of a good high plains storm. Your story of the trip brought back so many memories of when I lived in Kansas. These storms need respect - as they develop fast, turn on a dime, and have become more intense over the years. I loved the photos ...and I hope you keep sharing these beautiful images while enjoying the adventure.
You might not have realized this, but at 6:30, you were standing in the middle of the storm's inflow. Those rapid, straight line winds were what was feeding the storm. You were also looking at a massive hail shaft, not rain. That green glow from the storm indicates a large hail core, which is to be expected from that strong of an inflow. The storm was literally sucking the air up like a vacuum! These storms were beautiful, but not nearly as good as your pictures! I love your storm videos. In fact, my love for photographing storms actually motivated me to become a certified Storm Spotter a few years ago, so I now chase for the purpose of photography. I live in "Dixie Alley", so we have a lot of tornados, but the view is always obstructed by trees and mountains.
Oooooh we missed you Sir Nick 😁. Really, a man's gotta make a living and support the family, hope you had a fruitful Spring. Keep the faith, Squatch will show himself some day.
Great to see you back Nick. I must say, the time-lapse photography and stills in this vlog are UNBELIEVABLE!!! Truly epic stuff. Best 13 or so mins of my day and I've had a great day. 👍
Missed you, but glad you made time to recharge and reconnect with your passion for photography. The storms looked frantic, so it makes sense that your video brought that feeling forward. Great job as always Nick!
This motivates me so much to go out again and photograph. I've been in a creative rut for the past year and I'm living the dream of living in switzerland but I couldn't get myself out of the house. Your videos really change that. Thank you :)
Oh my! Well, that was worth waiting for you to get back on the channel Nick! Raw, real, artistic, emotional and well-produced. I bet you are still riding high on those shots!! I know I'm still smiling having seen them through your eyes!
Gosh I've missed you. I'm happy you got to enjoy it again and do it for you and not just for us. And may I say your choices in accompanying music take you to the next level. Well done sir, well done...
"Reinvigorated", is the word you were after, Nick. And yeah, it reinvigorated *me* , too. I want a go, now. What a way to cram a hard drive full. Excellent images, mate.
Sehr sehr sehr geil !!! Was für ein tolles Video. Spannung pur.... Die Unwetterszenen so festzuhalten..... Hammer. Die Bilder eine wahre Kunst. Ganz toll gemacht LG aus Germany , Pierre
Oh Nick, my man. I can't tell you how happy I am you made it out to chase on the plains. I hope you thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope you decide to come back out again soon!
All those images are epic, but the last image with the sun setting behind the horizon, crazy light and lightning is hands down the best of this collection to me. Out of this world, absolutely stunning shot. As always great video Nick.
Wow, just wow. You could do a book of these called “ Chasing Awe with Nick Page”….. oh wait….. What a rush it must have been being first hand with these storm. Thanks Nick
That was awesome! You don't get weather that severe here in Denver but once you head an hour east where it flattens out going into Kansas, it's the wild, wild west of weather. Good to see you back and that sky, yes, it was epic. Time lapses were so beautiful. Well done!
I do think it's impossible to put in words the beauty you shared with us in this video. Spectacular?! Not enough, sure. Phenomenal?! A little bit closer. I can just say thank you so much, Nick!
Can't say anything other than "FREAKING AWSOME". Lived through Hurricane Camille in August 1969, but we didn't have lightening like that. Didn't have electricity for 7 days, and Mississippi is hot & humid as hell in August. Thanks for sharing!!
Simply some of THE best big weather images I have ever seen. Would give my right arm to be able to come to the states to capture shots like these! Fabulous!!
Lovely. Thanks for bringing us along with you. Wish I can someday be a part of such an adventure. Photography with Nick, Storm chasing, enjoying the gorgous environment - having a cold beer at the end of the day. Cheers,
Absolutely awesome footage Nick and your photos are incredible, not to mention the outstanding soundtrack ❣️ Just loved it👌🏻 It was also so wonderful to hear the excitement and passion in your voice once again 🥰
TH-cam needs to introduce a new rating system. This one requires a „f*cking awesome“ button!
Finally he's back! Well done, Nick!
Holy shit a mind-blowing collection! I WANNA DO THIS TOO! :D
…and I‘m sure you‘d have managed a lot of equally epic shots as well! Although…not so many tornados around Denmark 😉

Great to see you back Nick. Images simply breathtaking.
@Nick NO WORDS JUST GOOSEBUMPS watching the end of the video.

Finally Your back. Van conversions/life and book plugging content free. Your storm videos are a breath of fresh air! 😊
Also you should do a book called
'Chasing Storms with Nick Page'.
The music and the videos are a perfect match here. The US plains are wide open and the sky is very large the drama very real. Good work.
This is pure craftsmanship! Really enjoyed this video 👍
Wow! Just wow. That image of the sunrise and lightning, simply awesome.
