Extra fact Their bite do actually have venom its completely harmless (to humans at least) Its thought to be a trait that remained after they evolved from a much bigger and venomous ancestor
I've been researching bearded dragons these past few days because I'm considering getting one for my 12 year old daughter, and your video was very helpful and interesting! That whole 3rd eye thing is pretty cool! Thank you for the fun facts, Taylor!
omg when she said they can run on their hind legs I could only imagine if I looked over at my beardie’s tank and saw him running like that. I would start crying 😂😂💀
Silly Noodle It is very tiny. But if you look closley enough, You can see it. Search it up. Also, "She is very stupid" fire that back at ya when your assumption is wrong.
"Fun fact bearded dragons can actually sleep while standing" Oh yeah, me too! But I can even fall asleep while walking too! Bet you can't do that dragon boi! 😂😂😂
So, I built my Beardie a wooden terrarium from scratch. I took Styrofoam, covered that with excavator clay. Then made platforms, columns, caves, and walls with it.... With that being said, I’m gonna get to the point now. You mentioned dragons like to sleep upright? My freaking Dragon climbs vertically on the clay wall and falls asleep like that!!! Literally straight up and down, tail toward the floor and head towards the ceiling!!!! Also, I found her third eye, which is pretty trippy. Now I know why she always ducks her head down and closes her eyes when I pet her.
I got sad when you talked about the eye bulging because I am young (12) and nobody really took care of the dragons in my house and I never really noticed it. when I was 7 or 8 I found a dead dragon with eyes sunk back then just a couple days ago I found another dragon bloated, eyes bulging and eyes also sunk back it was when this happened that I’m starting to step up and take care of our remaining dragon by feeding him and playing with him etc.
Thank you I really appreciate this video, I just bought a bearded dragon and I didn’t know much about it but now I do, so hopefully everything goes well and you keep posting these videos💯
How do you find facts like these? I search everywhere, but it's just like, "Did you know bearded dragons eat crickets AND vegetables???" Like... Duh. Btw, bearded dragons are venomous. It's not harmful to humans or most other animals, but it's still neat
Taylor Patterson Awesome!! And I literally found some of these in a reptile book I was reading lol! I know, facts online are so boring and they’re just like normal care tips, not anything really special lol.
We watched your video in our preschool/kindergarten class today! Thanks for being fun and bubbly, and using good language 😜 We also appreciate you explaining it so good!! Thank you
Very cool video young lady! I knew 2 or 3 of these things from my prior experience. However, that was 30 years ago now and I not only got a refresher, but learned some really cool new things about Beardies! Thank you for putting this out...I enjoyed your personality as well! P.S. Texas would be perfect for a bearded dragon sanctuary! That is where I live...West Texas in the desert! It looks a lot like the Outback!
Great info.. Question. I’ve started to notice my beardie eat less now. Would that be her age or what playing a factor? All elements have not changed lights, heat, diet, etc....
@@Prazdaa hmm, do you use a 10.0 tube uvb, vitamins and calcium? She could be getting ready to shed or may just not want to eat. I'd advice a vet checkup if it continues
@@HaruDoneYet im thinking she just has decided to eat less food now. Cause she still eats, just not as much. She's healthy, strong and has a good color. I think it was just a few day's.
Ive noticed that my bearded dragon has a little pincher at the end of their tongue, so its not just sticky! Also I've been trying to find out what the little thing on her head was, thanks for clarifying! Now I can answer questions about it! ^^ Your beardie is so cute too! Mine is almost 2 and she's got the coolest symbol on her head around her "third eye". I've kinda noticed that all bearded dragons have their own unique symbol. Kinda like a finger print! Again, thx for the info ^^
Just discovered your channel! You are a very personable spokesperson! I’m already subscribed to Lizard Guru, but am going to subscribe to your channel, too. Can’t ever have too much beardie knowledge! Thanks!
Haha you made me laugh a few times. Very entertaining. I am from Australia but I think I can pick your accent to come from somewhere near New York maybe? Anyway if you want all the wild bearded dragons you’ll need to come to Australia. Thanks for teaching me stuff!!
My Bearded dragon lived 8 years before dying last year. She had an AMAZING life with me. I basically took her everywhere I go, I fed her 2 times a week, and she had a huge tank. God I miss her.

My baby bearded dragon does pop his eyes out i did research and it did say they prepare for shedding also it cab be that their eyes are itchy so the pop them out to relieve the itchiness.... he also hugs the fake cactus i put in his tank and sleeps like that lol

*I think any lizard that has "Dragon" at the end of it's name should be a part of a group of reptiles named "Dragons"*
Naaaah whats happends with his cousin friled lizard 🤔
DRUGUN
That’s actually a thing. It’s the “dragon family”!
Late but I would rather *draconis*
Nah cuz komodo dragons and bearded dragons are no where near related
When u metioned the third eye I went and checked my bearded dragon AND I ACTUALLY FOUND IT. I AM FREAKING OUT
The Skylan Show I thought this was common knowledge the pet store that I got Arlo they told me
I am sHoOk
The Skylan Show me to aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

same popcorn sticks to my tongue so I just lick it up
Extra fact

Its thought to be a trait that remained after they evolved from a much bigger and venomous ancestor
Alpha Stark Omg!! That is so interesting! Thanks for sharing! :)
Titan Hound was the ancestor megalania thats a much much bigger and venomous ancestor that was also native to austrailia
Doubt it beardies and monitors have a different evolutionnary path
thats really cool!
and the venom is almost equivalent to rattlesnake venom!

lol did you even watch the video? She explained where the eye is and how it works.
Third eye on their head? I pet my bearded dragons on the head all the time, my dragons were being poked in a third eye?! 😱
I feel bad now ;-;
Flying Grass it bends shadows so they can see predators like birds
Nah, it doesn't hurt them. It's more of a sensor, so it doesn't hurt when you pet them there. Its only a detector.
Same
What made you come up with the name flying grass? I'm jelly. 😂👌
I love looking at the front of bearded dragons faces it’s just so derpy :P
Agreed
Thanks for the great video! I learned a few things, and it’s always fun to see Fitz! She’s so cute!!

My Beardie really doesnt care when I show him videos of moving crickets or other dragons. He legit just looks back at me with that bruh face
Who else's dragon is sleeping on them why they watch this (or watching this with your dragon) My dragon always attacks the screen all the time
Beardie Dragonz they are known to like watching electronics mine dose that to

The probably can see their reflection or something
Beardie Dragonz same Skelly he always does that

They come from Australia not Africa
Jennifer Suchecki I said Africa? Oopsy.
They come from both. The witblit morph came from Africa
Exactly. Witblits Gene originated in africa

Where did you find the venom thing? Because I'm not so sure that its true. ^^"
Fun WolfGirl From scrolling through a crap ton of websites for hours. I don't remember exactly where, but if I find it again, I'll let you know
Fun WolfGirl Also, just read a comment from Titan Hound from a month ago that also mentioned venom
Taylor Patterson thanks for telling me! I usually just thought people were confusing komodo dragons with beardies but thanks ^^
Loved this fun fact video.
Learning much more than I have been on the internet groups about reptiles.
Glad I found your channel.
