    Hey I'm an amateur producer and I always quantize my patterns cus I can never play a pattern without quantizing it or else it'll sound horrible. I was just wondering if I need to learn how to make pattern without quantizing or does it matter?

    Do you know if when you re-initialize this Juno G, does it suppose to take hrs to complete ?!?! Ive done a factory reset and it has been "Now Executing" for almost 3 HRS!?!?!

    To be honest with you, it's all entirely up to you and your preference... I actually owned all three brands of keyboard workstations and I like all three for different reasons and the type of style are you trying to make ? West coast, east coast, or pop music??? What i like about the korg series is the interface is the most easiest to navigate and learn to make beats, the korg has that west coast sound which is dope. The Motif is dope for it's Piano i think yamaha has the most realistic

    yo can I use da juno G as a MIDI controller?.. How u connect it 2 da new MPC renaissnace

  • @chosensmusic
    @chosensmusic  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @seannopak25
    yeah basically the roland juno G is the simpliefied version of the fantom, THE JUNO G HAS THE SAME SOUNDS AND SOUND ENGINE, THE JUNO WEIGHTS ABOUT 12 LBS THE FANTOM WEIGHTS ABOUT 27 LBS, JUNO G INTERFACE IS NOT ALL COLORFUL, FANTOM IS.... THE JUNO G ALSO SAMPLES SAME THING AS FANTOM... THE ONLY DIFFERENCE is layout, and operating system and work flow.... but i like the juno G bc its light as a mofo and you can also carry it to live gigs as well...!!! hope that helps fam...
    peace

    I guess with just hours and hours and hours of practice ;op
    but it did pay off though, I use to have the Juno 106 as well but my LFO was kinda off so i got rid of it because you and I know very well it'll cost alot to fix these bad boys. I think Logic is a great computer sequence with the macbook... I like the workflow of digital sequencers. But i'm still going to be 90 % hardware, and analog synths and drum machines, the only time i actually use a computer is when i'm tracking

    What up David, to be honest with you, it just depends on the beat and the feel you want in that beat... Sometimes I usually quantize my snares ,and sometimes hi hats, cymbals and shakers. But I usually don't quantize my kick drums bc if i do Quantize my kick drums snares and hi hats in a (4/4 ≠ 1/16) pattern it would sound too perfect and mechanical. If anything experiment quantize certain instruments here and there and you would see what i'm talking about... What are you using ?

    @chosensmusic
    Piano sounds, and also strings.
    Roland has the best overall drums, and the roland series sounds more raw than the other two machines.
    Hope this helps you, just do some research, youtube, ebay and craigslist.
    Good LUCK with your search.... :OP

    @chosensmusic Thanks for the quick reply bro, Im planing on making hip hop in general and some r&b and maybe some electronic music too but that's my main idea im really looking forward to seen a vid on the motif xs6 peace.

    The difference between the Fantom synths and the Juno G is number of midi effects, Juno G only comes with 3 which is typically enough at least for my use. The other is the number of SRX cards, you can get 1 for the Juno G (they run about $250 each), On the Fantom X's I believe there were 2 or 3 slots.

    Great stuff man - I enjoyed that. How'd you get so fast with the board? I have an ancient Roland Juno 106 from the 80s. I was thinking of getting a macbook and Logic Pro soon. Do you think Logic would be a good computer sequencer?

    Really awesome work bro nice to see you back, making videos really like all your work you are an inspiration for me to make music really thanks for that, and also I see that the Juno G has great potential on making some nice beats I just might get this keyboard because.
    I want a solid workstation to start with would you recommend it or should I save a little more for a Motif mo6 or a korg m50? keep up the great work bro big ups!!

      WeirdRicky go for the Korgs, you get high quality sounds with the kross plus it has audio interface and sampling, just like the flagships motif, fantom and Kronos
