Now that is a survival skill, to strip a bottle this easily! Nice! I have seen other contraptions, but to easily use a cap and a small blade, genius! In a pinch this is how to male tie string like material in the urban setting. Awesome!
сказать, что я офигел это ничего не сказать! Вобщем выживание это в первую очередь соображалка и хладнокровие, а потом уже снаряга. Выживать можно и с таким мелким ножичком. Браво! Надо показать этот видос выживальщикам. Bravo! Thanks for this lifehacks! So small knife and so big oportunities!
Correct about intelligence. People can survive with NO knife, actually. Would be harder, yes, yet it can be done. When we rely so much on modern technology, we become comfortably complacent and never put our minds to learning these skills for survival. We take too much for granted, and our intelligence is spent in other areas of modern society. I say do both, a good mix could not hurt. I'm still learning these survival skills too, a total novice, but I like it and will practice in my backyard in the spring. 😁
I got a whole bunch of these used on eBay for a couple bucks each so most of the guys I work with got one. It works good to have on your keychain. I still have at least four in my knife drawer. I was surprised to see someone actually using one of these on wood
@OyBOY-ig9bp It was pretty easy. I just ran it across a small sharpening stone for about three minutes. You could probably accomplish the same with a file, or sand paper taped to a flat surface. The spine is close to sharp enough as it comes. Be sure to sharpen the edge that enters the scales first when closing. If you sharpen the other edge, it will try to close on you while striking. It's nice having a striker at all times now, since I always have the Classic SD on my keychain. Recently, I tried applying greater force to the ferro rod by holding a stick against the file/striker and pressing harder. I was successful in creating larger molten metal globs which lit my pine needle bird's nest.
really like the color of the handle scales, I have the minichamp on my keys, its a bit beaten up but It is by far my most used tool as its always with me.
Not exactly. I've seen that technique used on sticks to be used as an arrow or spear to catch fish with, so doing that can be for multiple purposes, not just picking up food. Always try to think of MULTIPLE PURPOSES for one technique used. Don't just close your mind off in thinking it is only for one purpose. MacGyver never would've survived if he thought like that. 😁
Sir I love your vids, usefull nd great contents I dnt think SAK SD can cut dat way, when I saw its tiny blade bite that wood damn it is awesome. Thanks for spending your time to share with us.
FYI. If you want to eat a cucumber piece, you can just take the stick and poke it right through without having to go through all the trouble of making it into something fancy. It still works pretty good even if it’s not sharp. 😂
Bravo cavolo, hai dimostrato che anche con un piccolo VICTORINOX, puoi fare una marea di cose😁no come certe persone che comprano coltelli da centinaia di euro, e non sanno fare nulla! Grande davvero😇😇😇
What is a good source for scissor replacement springs? The Victorinox company has none for sale on their website. The have run out of them, most likely because the springs wear out so fast if you use the scissors often.
The bottle into cordage thing isn’t as easy as it look here. I managed to get a short length, about enough to hog tie a small rodent but anything more needs practice. Also there’s there’s no magnet on mine, must be an addition
To start with simple fact. No one ever have bought one, sharp as the one on this video 😅 2nd fact, all the things he have done, would be impossible without a lighter. Lighter is not included.
I used to always carry this exact knife... Until I started seeing quality issues with the current ones. These may have been high quality years ago.. but not anymore.
Victorinox (inox means stainless steel) SA knife….comes with free Silver Birch log and Coke bottle.😂 Edit: UK law says no blade (tip to body handle) must exceed 3 inches and blades must not lock. Legal carry folding pocket knives must also not be carried in certain place, like pubs.
Citizens in the UK should really pressure their lawmakers to relax your ridiculous knife laws. Locking blades would protect the fingers and hands of millions of law abiding knife owners there. I doubt the “knife assault” statistics would be affected at all. Oppressive governments prefer disarmed citizens, law abiding or not.
I built a log cabin with mine. I have been living in it for 12 years now.
Wow that’s amazing!!
Really?😳

Not just urban. Youll find those bottles almost everwhere if you look hard enough. Especially near coastlines. Gotta love littering... :/
That cordage from the bottle totally shocked the heck out of me , that was purdy damn cool ,, gonna have to try that one 👍👍
That bottle ripper was one heck of a trick😂😮

That plastic cordage hack is pure genius though ! 👍
Fantastic use of mini vic SD👍

Yes. I sharpened the spine of my Classic SD's file to 90 degrees, and it's and excellent ferro rod striker.

Okay, that plastic bottle cordage maker was pretty clever 👍

I like the compass trick. But which smart phone has an electronic compass ?
All of them do nowadays 😉
Where did you get the tiny clip that attaches the knife slip to the paracord and ferro rod???
Nice fork idea!
Where did you source the leather slip pouch that the Classic SD was in at the start of this video please?
In this video you have a sort of paracord attached to it. Which paracord do you use?
Great video! Where did you get that mini magnet
Awesome idea for fishing small 🐟. Also excellent job on the 🧭.

Where did you get the nice leather slip/sheath? I want one. Anyone know a good leather crafter that sells these? I’ll search Etsy.
Fun and informative 👍

The codage thing is so brilliant
Would you please tell me where you got the sheath for your knife?

cant you use the tiny knife as the fork?

I pulled it out of a vape cartridge
You can also find them in old bicycle disc brake clamps,
where u get that green one?

The last thing I would be making in a survival situation is a fork. Especially when I have a Swiss Army knife,
