Loved watching you race Jamie, sadly it can be a very cruel sport but after watching this video you are a real inspiration to anyone who is struggling in life. I wish you all the best for the future.

You have been through a hell of a lot and demonstrated unbelievable strength and determination. It sounds like better times are now just ahead of you. Keep in your memory banks the multitude of good events that you had amassed from your racing. They will provide you with a sense of (private) satisfaction and contentment each time that you return to them. It is a gift that keeps on giving. Consign to the deepest recesses the less good memories, they are unlikely to give you any benefit. Use that space in your memory bank for more positive recollections. I had the privilege of sharing the grid with you for a season when you were in England racing on CBs although I was not in your league. I wish you well.

Very inspirational. I think life is a journey and for some of us we can loose hope. No amount of comparing our situation or advise helps really I find, we just survive and maybe find our own way to do that. Your strength and intelligence, coupled with being such a nice human is so evident. Thanks for sharing your journey and wish you all that is good Jamie.

Wow! What an amazing and candid exploration of road racing not always talked about, reminicent of Robert and Hutchy and likely many others we don't hear about. It does challenge my view on supporting the road racing never mind actually doing it and dealing with the risks. Extreme bravery from all those taking part and also to Jamie for his maturity and honesty, The images on the TV screen was poignant to watch as Jamie told hisstory.

I seen that crash and thought....oh shit😢. So glad to here you're getting back from the beat down. You're a good character mate. You're an inspiration pal. A friend of mine was tragically killed 2 years previously in the same spot(on closed roads, ironically into his uncles bin wagon at5 in the morning)......goes to show racing on closed roads at speed is 'safer'. You're so lucky Jamie to come out the other side of that crash with your positive thinking, and most importantly your alive mate. Good luck❤🙏🤞🥵💯💪🏽

It's good to hear from you Jamie. I followed your career and it was obvious you had a lot of talent and were going places. Such a shame it all went tits up. You might think a lot of people forgot about you but you should know that many true racing fans have been following your revovery and it's good to hear you so positive. As you say yourself, the way to live is to think of what you can achieve. One door has been shut but you're still a young fella with life ahead of you, try another route as with your determination you can make it work. It would be nice if that was in some way involved with racing as it would be good to see you back in some way again but whatever you choose to do good luck. And thanks for the memories, you were a great guy to watch.

I remember Jamie having this clash at the TT but didn’t realise how bad his injury’s where! But it shows how strong of a person he is to be able to get through it,,absolute legend.💪💪
Most Racers that race on the public roads are the most down to earth people in the sport and most of the time don’t realise what superstars they are!

Hi Jamie - I was spectating just down the road when you slipped off - You are still with us thank God - I can't tell you how glad I am to hear your voice, watching this vlog has brought a tear to my eye having lost two good men to accidents, you were an amazing talent whilst competing. I can't imagine how hard your recovery & future prospects must be - my only advice would be that a man with your determination from your racing days should not waste that resilience, I sincerely wish you all the best in whatever YOU choose to do in the future. Thank you so much for posting this update, so much appreciated.

Atm jamie im going through a very similar injury...waz rideing down a road on a v-strom 600 and a car came outta nowhere and went into the side of the bike...snapped the left leg in half...the fibia snapped in two but the tibia theres 4 inches of it missing...weither its stuck to your guys bumper or laying up on the road fek knows...its been over 15 months now...I never let the injury get to me...but after a while it took its toll...its the mental side of it...when I started to do the turns where you had to move the bone down 1mm every day...thats when it took its toll...iv had to move back into mums and I confined meself to the bedroom...didnt wanna see anybody didn't want a bit of day light getting into the bedroom, not eatting not washing...I know how ya feel pal...because im going through it az I type this...but watching your story gives me a bitta hope tks pal wish you the best for what ever you set your mind too when you recover....what most folks dont realise also jamie once its a leg injury...your fucked az you lose all your independence...ya cant make a cup of freeking tea.

    Thanks for sharing this.
No where near the same level of riding but I had a horrible bike crash out in Spain 18 mths ago just on a track day event.
4 weeks in a coma out there, multiple injuries and although im recovered from most of the initial injuries I have an associated issue from being on a ventilator where I have serious airway problems that still can't be fixed.
Multiple smaller ops and 2 major ops later and im still not there and left with endless and horrible breathing restrictions.
I am now like you were with your leg feeling like there is no end in sight, only thing is i have to carry on because without the medical intervention and continued attempts at reconstructing my airway I wouldn't be alive.
It affects all aspects of yours and your families life as you mentioned and I love your comment about "tough times don't last but tough people do"
I have yet another op this week and will take great positivity from your video and experience and try to get through this part of my life with hopefully a successful outcome.
    Thanks 👍

Hi Stu. I'm sorry to read about what you are currently going through. I'm hoping to make another video of more in depth how I managed to deal with it mentally so hopefully you manage to see that otherwise it would be good to have a chat. I'm sure you are having some really tuff times at the moment and I feel for you though there's obviously a reason your still on earth whether that be to achieve something else in life or even to help someone else so do your best to keep smiling and keep motivated on improving because there will be good days aswel as the dark days.
