The Wave Roller is Theragun's first massage product that is not an actual Theragun. It's also the first device under the new moniker, Therabody. It's a 5 speed, Bluetooth compatible, smart vibrating foam roller. It's pretty incredible and powerful!

Apologize for the audio/echo - recorded in a big room. Working on my mic issues.

Concerning the problem about vibrating foam rollers moving as you're using them, especially on areas like your calves that you can't put as much body weight on it, what I've found to be useful is along with your suggestion of using it on a yoga mat, is also laying a 50LB sandbag on top of your leg. This would not only help to keep the foam roller from moving, but add additional pressure to allow for a more aggressive massage. Depending on your level of tolerance for pain, you may go heavier or lighter. I've seen Kelly Starrett of The Ready State/MobilityWOD use that method especially for working the calves.

Hmm, might be a skip for me. I had hoped for a bit more from a smart roller. Such as a force gauge for example… thanks anyway for your thoughts 🙂

Hi! Thank you for the video. I used the basic trigger point GRID for two years. Now, after a everyday use, it's almost broken. Now I'm planning to go next-level: i know how to press my muscles and how to manage foam rollers. Looking for something "harder", I found the GRIND X, which is basically the pro-version of the basic one. Now, would you recommend this wave roller or the GRID X? I mean, it vibrates, but I don't know if it's better or even comparable than a pro/solid one. Thank you for the attention!

Would you recommend the wave roller or the wave duo? My need would be for the upper back. But still trying to decide which one of these to get. Thanks!
