    Great review. Honestly Theragun just ran out of idea to improve Theragun Pro. Probably I won't be upgrading from Pro 4.

    I cant believe they don't make the Cone attachment anymore in this generation. The cone attachment is one of the best selling accessories for the 5th Gen.

    Dang no adjustable head 💀 or swappable batteries 🔋 I’ll keep my pro. Those hot and cold attachments are cool though I’m sure someone will make them for the older models

    • @BestMassageTech
      @BestMassageTech  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maybe but they are powered by the device themselves so I’m not sure that’s feasible. Most likely scenario is something like hyperice’s heated attachment head that has its own battery.

  • @senseiruthe
    @senseiruthe ปีที่แล้ว +10

    The non-swappable battery also makes it very annoying for travel. I travel with my 4th gen Pro for martial arts tournaments and just popped out the batteries to keep in carry on and could keep the main device in checked but thats no longer an option

    What’s wrong with Therabody, make a whole new design with non-adjustable arm, can’t swap battery, and whole new head attachment but not compatible with old one

    • @Bbronson
      @Bbronson 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unless you’re using the gun for over 90 minutes at a time or back to back for multiple hours you really don’t need swappable batteries. The swivel head was pretty gimmicky as well. You lost a lot of leverage that the Theragun benefits from with its unique handle by swiveling the arm to 45 or 180 degrees. I’ve used them for massaging my clients for the last 4 years and have used 45 or 180 degrees only a handful of times if even.
      Honestly, the swivel arm was also cheap plastic that would get stuck and have issues locking in place after extended use, you’d have to whack it to unstick it or lock it in place. The one gripe I will agree with was changing the head attachment style, not a huge fan there. Otherwise the red light is a nice addition, heated head is good and I like the more compact size. Don’t think I’ll spend $80 for a cold head, seems gimmicky.

    • @OfficialDJTazer
      @OfficialDJTazer 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Bbronsonthe swappable battery was good because:
      1 - You could have 2 batteries, exhaust the battery and then swap it for the charged one, without waiting for it to charge, now you’ll either have to wait for it to charge or charge it before it’s depleted, which will likely reduce the lifespan of the battery, which is a big issue, given point 2.
      2 - If the battery stopped working, all you had to do was buy a new battery, now, you’d need a new unit.
      3 - If you’re using it professionally, you could swap the battery out, and begin charging the depleted one. Whereas now you would need 2 devices.
      Regards the head change, that’s likely due to the technology required for heat, cold and data e.g. it now knows what head is being used and I’d say it’s more secure, not that I ever had a problem with the security of the old system.

  • @raychow5419
    @raychow5419 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Mine came in today also. Great device!!. For me the heart rate monitor is useless for me, I would have rather have the cold attachment included instead. I do prefer the new putting on and off attachments by twisting. It is quicker and easier. Too bad all the old attachments such as the duo adapter and the soft foam no longer works due to the new twist on attachment. Great that everything is intergrated into the Theragun, no need to charge the heat/cold heads separate. Also the light is Near infrared LED which means it works beneath the skin by providing heat. I also couldn't connect to the app on iOS but Android works fine.

    • @BestMassageTech
      @BestMassageTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      I suppose I would agree from a value proposition standpoint I would rather have the cold attachment than the heart rate monitor as well. Definitely seems like they veered a little off the path of this device being for a “professional setting”.

    • @raychow5419
      @raychow5419 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The cold attachment is such as disappointment!!! There is no massage or percussion function when attached. It’s a stand still cooling device that doesn’t get that cold and the fan exhaust pushes the warm air out killing the cooling effect even more. Such a letdown.

    Swappable batteries are not needed unless you’re doing multiple massages back to back for hours. Swivel arm would get “sticky” and get stuck unless you whacked it in my case. Also is pretty useless. The 90 degree angle gives you the most leverage. 45/180 degrees I rarely used on hundreds of clients. It’s less leverage and uncomfortable to hold in those angles as well. I’ve used Theragun on myself for 6 years and clients for 4+
