Commentators all too quickly forget about the funds that go to maintain the UK nuclear deterrent. 2% or 2.5% GDP is not going to be directly to the building up the army, navy or air force, only a fraction will be available
Greetings from Australia. I have a question and maybe you could help. Why are more questions not asked of Jake Sullivan and Donald Trump, in relation to their controversial positions on Ukraine? For example; If The USA were invaded and under constant missile attack by a powerful enemy, 1. Would Sullivan refuse to launch missiles at the enemy launch sites in fear of escalation? and 2. Would Trump be willing to hand over Alaska and the state of California as a trade off for peace????
Monroe Doctrine, no foreign power allowed anywhere near the US. Cuba ? Although US allowed to put weapons on everyone else’s border 😊

Nice try, but you are comparing apples to oranges. You are ignoring the factor of nuclear weapons as well as a proxy war vs a direct conflict.
How can you take these people seriously (giggling?)when they cant put the politics aside for a discussion?
The issue with the thought that China and Russia can do this without US knowledge or interference is just silly. The route will still have to pass through the relatively small gap between Russia and Alaska of the USA. I think at one point it narrows to like 20 miles. So nothing is getting through there without US knowledge.
Why is the presenter behaving so strangely? Smiling almost laughing feels bizarre.

After duping them and then reneging on their promises, ukraine is now steadelled with a huge debt, destroyed infrastructure and a decimated young population. The cost of this war for Ukraine is staggering.

what i suggest is let russia keep what they have traken land wise then go for a peace deal as soon as that happens then nato will let ukraine join straight away makes scence if not thousands more people will die over a bit of land that was hardly used by any one .
All these talks are not useful.....
Ukraine should simply seek a just peace with Russia (and not be used as a proxy for NATO aggression)!

Ukraine needs to become a neutral country. Given a bridge into NATO is utterly ridiculous. Of course it also keep Russia as the 'enemy' and there by giving NATO it's reason to exist.
