UK Turists about Romania : Wow ! Those castles look like a fairy tale ! Me watching Edinburgh Scotland Vlog : This whole city looks like a fairy tale city ! I hope one day , I will visit this wonderful city ! Scotland Rocks ! Salut from Romania
These are the 'Europey' parts of Europe that I love so much why I keep going back there...the parts that reflect the local culture---the history, the architecture, the cuisine, and the people ARE the place. So many of Europe's big cities have been washed out and ruined by modernity. It's just an indescribably awesome experience to visit the few places like this that still exist.
I get what you mean, but let us not forget that Europe is a continent of hundreds of millions of people and everything cannot be in a state of conservation to please tourists, and not everywhere needs or (by high European standards) deserves for better or worse to be preserved and turned into an open air museum. Also innovation and evolution in philosophy, design, architecture, urban planning and liveability have not stopped. Europe needs its big cities and new residential and work spaces, and you see that need fulfilled especially in the more dynamic and modern north west of the continent, where old and new have on numerous occasions been beautifully mixed (though not all would agree) in places like London, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Copenhagen, Oslo, Manchester etc. which is where most people go to live. I have lived in Edinburgh for long enough to have enough of the tourist crap. Amsterdam too, which in comparison to Edinburgh has more of both; the old town core completely overrun with tourists, and the modern, innovative, magnetic city that attracts a lot of more long term or permanent people.
Edinburgh is beautiful but it’s as touristy as any other big city in Europe. America’s large cities are the same: locals living their lives with tourists experiencing the ‘real’ NY or LA
I love the two couples walking hand in hand one old and one young couple. I love the child that perked up when he upon hearing Christmas music and how the parent picked up and smiled with the child . I love all these Grand buildings in the Open Spaces organized crowd I love how nobody was griping about it raining and just lived instead of whining. I love how your streets are so clean I love Edinburgh since a child I've always wanted to go to Scotland thank you for this video
Wow, It makes me feel like I have traveled to Edinburgh. I've never been to this beautiful town, but the dignified and classic atmosphere makes me feel the breath of history. At night, the streets seem to become even more wonderful.
This is just a little snippet of a single city, with our Highlands and Islands you would be amazed. Over 700 islands including the inner and outer hebrideess and shetland and 3,000 castles. If you look at the waters of Barra they are like the Carribean.
I am descendant of a great great Scottish grandmother of the Famines 1847. Spoken for at 12 married at 14 ~ she & her young husband started hand made of course piano organ company that became the largest by 1859 in Chicago. Madly in love 17 children all went to college. I have many of her things & one of the beautiful.organs from 1854. Hello Fellow Scots 🏴
Westerns always need to tell the world how great they are, and too many people actually swallow all your bs, like portraying pirates and vikings in awesome and attractive ways. But many others have woken up. Famine in 1847? That's the norm in most places, most of them invaded and looted by the west. And your civilization, as pretty looking as in this video, has always brought more problems than solutions, problems that no other civilization would have created, like plastic contamination everywhere literally.
I wonder if citizens of Edinburgh are still as wonderful as they were in 1980. My grandmother and aunt, both with some dementia, travelled to Edinburgh and the hotel workers took perfect care of them, ensuring they came home to Canada safe and sound. I am fourth generation Scots Canadian. I’d love togo to Edinburgh some time.
I still can't believe I got to lay my own eyes on that place in person. But thanks for taking me to places I didn't get to walk through as well. The street you turned onto at 16:25 was our favorite hangout. Lovely to see it in a different season than our summer trip. All that scaffolding was down by July this year. This video is so fun!
Que saudades dessa cidade. Estive em 2017 passeando por todo o castelo e pela cidade. Meu lugar preferido no mundo. AMO EDINBURGO. Passaria minha vida morando ai....

At the end of the main street with trams you can see those pillars and ruins... that's Calton Hill, 360 view of the city with lots to see... Arthur Seat volcano towers Iver it can watch everyone climb it
Simple beautiful amazing city almost like a fairy land so awesome and beautiful the most beautiful I have ever seen wish I could visit in person thanks for sharing. Our family is from the Graham clan
I feel for the Piper on the corner of Princess Street and Waverly Bridge, not easy to maintain the pipes in that temperature and that amount of moisture in the air.

My biggest dream is to live in this city, I come here every day to feel like I am there, it's a really beautiful place, the day I live there, I promise to enjoy every day as if it were the last one! 🥺
South African granny taken there while visiting her son and his friends. Mainly to watch S A play rug by at Murrayfield (1999 World Cup). What an experience! Later visited again and saw Greyfriars Bobby and the story, on a bus tour. Two wonderful days while on a short holiday visiting my son. 👍😄
I lived here as a teenager but I haven't been back since. This is bringing back memories so strong, that i swear I can smell the bready-brewery smell. I'm absolutely homesick suddenly for it. I never realized how beautiful my city was. And it's a trip to see that many of the shop and pub facades are EXACTLY the same as they once were. Edit: HOLY SHIT EDEN! I had a part time job there. I loved it.
🌸 I love Scotland my aunt & uncle lived there for many years As an infant to child I grew up there. Still have an uncle there Once or twice friend took me to Edinburgh festival 🎉 It was gorgeous, last minute they cancelled this year, shame I will be going there next year, I can’t wait 😊 Perhaps I will stay with my family there as one has flat near festival area ❤
One of the best city in the whole world.. I love walking around Edinburgh, such a nice city to be discovered on foot.. And walking (if the weather allows 😜) up to the top of Arthur's seat... I love Scotland 💯
This is where my Scottish roots began…in the beautiful city of Edinburgh.
My heart sings and my soul is soothed when I visit.
What a architecture,dream city
One of most beautiful cities in the world which is still retaining its ancient architecture and culture.
The culture will be gone soon
