I’m a 100% DAV, and can no longer afford living in my home state of California. I am thinking of moving to Minnesota 🤙🏻 I just want somewhere to use my VA home loan and chill, enjoy nature, snowboard and play my music loudly in my basement so I don’t bother my neighbors.
Minnesota’s the best place in the country. We have Mayo Clinic, the University of Minnesota, some of the best medical care in all of America, the second best parks system in the country, the best airport in North America, one of the most educated states, Prince is from here, it’s clean, it’s SAFE, it’s CHEAP, FRIENDLY PEOPLE, we have NO tax on food or clothing as mentioned, we also have many companies based here, what else do I need to say?
@@voidaccount12345 Hey now, I moved from Toronto, Canada. Minnesota is so cheap compared to Toronto. I can actually afford to live here. And the taxes in America are nothing compared to Canada, and there’s actually law and order in Minnesota compared to Toronto.
I made my escape from California in 1975 and I only go back to visit family now. I would never live there again. I graduated from both high school and college in California and my family has lived there since 1968 but live is so much better in Minnesota. I love it here.
I lived in Minnesota for 5 years and moved to San Diego California because life's too short to freeze your ass during winters and sweat during humid summers 😂
In 2024, the median income in MN is 50,000 and 54,000 in CA, whereas the median home price in MN is 338,000 and 738000 in CA. It blows my mind how the average income in CA doesn't get anywhere near being able to afford the average house in that state.
I’m closing in on retirement and love to move from Minnesota to a warmer climate, but home prices are ridiculous now, and mortgage price skyrocketing on a roll. Who knows if there will be a crash soon, or do I just go ahead to buy a house anyways?
Given the short supply of houses and high demand (especially from cash buyers), rates would have to go significantly higher to bring home prices down. Although it depends more on the market. In some areas prices have already come down since their peak. I think many people would be better off if they purchased yesterday, instead of waiting until today.
Income seems similar when you account for CA's higher general costs. Home prices may be lower in MN now but, as we've seen in cities like El Paso, wait til the CA's get here & watch costs climb.
The twin cities,Duluth is kinda Californian, but once you leave that general area its pretty much Texas. Everyone hunts and has lots of guns lol. Yeah, the clicky thing is real. How are we number 13 in health when we have the Mayo, St. Jude, and Gillette's children hosp? I have seen some many people including Canadians come here for medical.
I am sure they are moving to Minnesota because Tampon Tim has OUTDONE their goofy governor.....and they want to help make Minnesota more like California.
