@@sillyworm I know, that's the point, he's bringing new ears to the blues and keeping blues alive. Just like when SRV started playing the way he did, something BB King aknowledged. Or when the Blues Brothers did what they did. Pantera kept metal alive in the 90's and nu-metal bands did it in the 2000's.

Well....there are some nice melding of different mediums and the mix and dubs are very atmospheric ..I def hear a hats of to the many bottleneck guitarists that have come before.( Ry Cooder for 1).

This makes me think of the Instagram videos you put up showing the breadth of your influences. We get to hear something remarkable touching on all of that, and honoring Blind Willie Johnson, yet something also new and your own.
I like this mans music ALOT...but as a long time guitarist myself...I am very annoyed by the things he says about guitar playing. He talks about disliking when ppl thank him for keeping blues music alive. He speaks condescendingly about things like blues music having guitar solos. He talks about avoiding the pentatonic at all costs...but Im not convinced he knows what he is even talking about because literally everything he plays is based in it. Which isnt a bad thing, it's completely expected and impossible to avoid. I don't understand his attitude.

He's really is not playing the blues in any real new way but he is mixing non traditional elements to produce a modern sound.
