Agreed it was the best. First ever Coloured clothing, that too common dresses for all teams was a beauty. White ball and flood lights, great legendary players…. It had everything ! However the Duckworth Lewis rule for rain effected matches was horrible and also completion of matches in stipulated time was even more bizarre rule ! SA lost the semifinal against England because of this.

Australia 🇦🇺 match we lost by 1 run. South Africa match was curtailed due to rain. 30 overs match. We lost in last over. Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 match washed out. Had these been in our favour. We would have qualified for semis.

Great memories .. I was just 7 years old .. my uncle used to wake up early to see these matches. He woke me up around 5 am (too early for me considering my age😃) . For me it was like a new world . 5 am in India was too dark but I am seeing a match where it is too bright . That was the first time I came too know about time difference. It was like magic to me . 1992 World Cup was one of my BEST childhood memories. 😍😍😍😍

They lost to Aus by 1 run, lost to England by 8 runs and the game vs Sri Lanka was a washout (SL in those days was not that good). Ravi Shastri with his slow and selfish play was the main culprit. Azhar and Sachin were in dazzling form. Highlight was India beating Pakistan at Sydney. The best World Cup for ever. Great childhood memories.
