- In 1989 November Kameshwar Chaupal, a VHP activist from Bihar found himself at the heart of the "shilanyas" or foundation laying of the proposed Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He had escorted a group of "kar sevaks" from Bihar with "Ram Shilas" or bricks with Lord Ram's name on it for the foundation laying ceremonh which was not getting clearance from them then congress government in Uttar Pradesh. Suddenly he was called to a meeting of top Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders steering the Ramjanmabhoomi Temple movement. He was told by the saints and leaders in the meeting that he will lay the first foundation brick in the 7 feet deep pit created for the ceremony. Chauhan a dalit was astounded at the move which symbolized a shift in the RSS focus away from the traction upper caste support base. On 9 November 1989 the foundation stone laying ceremony took place. Today Chaupal is a member of the Ram Teerth Kshetra Trust, spearheading the construction of the temple which will be consecrated on 22 January.

Bro I am myself a hindu and would love to clear your misunderstanding regarding our elephant god .. he is called Ganesha and whenever any Pooja is conducted he should be worshipped first then only you should start your Pooja .. That's the importance of our lord Ganesha.. he is celebrated and worshipped by all of us and especially in Maharashtra region..

That baby elephant who lost his head for GANESHA, what happened to that poor guy's body? Doesn't make sense for a smart culture to follow such an illogical story of divine power.
