    Wow! Great presentation Blackie. Litened to WC last night and you further extolled the capabilities. If I was 20 years younger I would purchase one. I think we're in the golden Age of affordable fixed blade knife making.

    William has filled the empty whole in our knife world. The man can build the cookie cutters that we all use and love but refuses to settle. He brings light to the multi functional blade. Taking the best of the most used designs and Frankenstein’s them to success. Great thing about Will’s blades is he allows and encourage’s input from the great and natural woodsman of our time such as yourself. I’m a avid supporter of the MW. I jumped on the type 2 as soon as she rolled out a couple yrs back and she’s just a ideal wood working machine that does much more. Yesterday I received my WCNK and haven’t been able to put her down other then when I slept. I’m putting my order in for this WCSK next month.

    The knife looks to be extremely well thought out and designed. I was thinking that you could do a class on just using this knife to it's full potential before you mentioned further videos to come on it's use! I definitely look forward to seeing the next videos. I know a collaboration between you and William is bound to make a winner:) Take care my friend!

    Very good. Very impressive, very intelligent and cleverly thought through design. I will probably order one. The only, minor, consideration here is sharpening. I suspect the maintenance would need to be quite careful to preserve all of those edges. "Tanto". Great job. I love it already.

    Say Heah Blackie, Happy Easter, that W. C. S. K. sure looks good, I like how it functions as a bush craft knife, I do have a modified Master Woodsman that William said was different enough to name it so it's my Paul'ies Delight, I also have a smaller knife he made me to match, and I named it Paul'ies Pride, both are posted on my Google Plus, But I wish I knew about the W. C. S. K. I would of loved getting that 3 Point Tip. Infact, I need to talk to William and get one in 3V like my other two, Dilly Dilly.,,.p

    Generally not a fan of over complicated designs, but there looks to be a lot of consideration into the elements on that knife.

    • @wcknives
      @wcknives 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not that complicated. It has a blade, handle and a cutting edge.

    • @CliffStamp
      @CliffStamp 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Almost all knives can be so described in reductionist terms, but surely you see that the design is more complicated than a drop point?

    • @wcknives
      @wcknives 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cliff Stamp not much more complicated than a serpentine blade or a kukkuri.

    Blackie... thanks for the excellent recap.
    Been watching William's videos regarding the concept development. Between watching your review, Dan Lutz's (AB Normal Bushcraft), Ben from Living Survival (with Will from Mantis Outdoors) - you all have convinced me. Although I have a Master Woodsman (and I do lovvvve my Master Woodsman as well), I ordered a WCSK... expect it'll be well worth the wait, if it lives up to even a bit more than the Master Woodsman... From watching William's beating the Pj's out of it while doing everything the Master Woodsman does and what you others were doing - I suspect, when received (I get 0039C ) the WCSK is going to be attached to me when ever I go out and about... (and my Master Woodsman will be in my pack).
    Considering all the Master Woodsman does - I know 'cause I've carved spoons, cut meat and veggies, skinned, did trap triggers and made other wood tools with my Master Woodsman - thought of it as an amazing chunk of metal... the WCSK seems to be kicking it up a notch...or two...or five.
    BTW - love your channel and most of all your honesty. Same with Dan and Ben... just straight up information with no gilding the lily.
    All the (continued) VERY BEST!

    Well I enjoyed the video, I have the Beck W.S.K. so I'm used to the different edges, it seems like it would do all survival tasks well, I've been into survival and bushcaft for about 12 years now I've also been to quite a few Tom Brown tracker school courses, so I know a little bit about survival knives. The price point is not to bad either, could you maybe do a video talking a little more about the handle. Maybe you you have and I just haven't seen it in that case my bad thanks for the over view, I like what I see so far.

    I ordered the Nessy from William today. I had a hard time deciding which knife to purchase first, the Nessy seems like the perfect EDC for me. Then the choice is the WCSK or the WCBK? I think that I'll go with the SK because the Nessy will be such a good companion for it.

      You don't have to use the bow drill divit but some people find it a useful feature.

  • @ShelleyRaskin
    @ShelleyRaskin 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    It’s got a lot of interest, can you tell me if you think it would be as good a skinner and carver and food preper as the master woodsman, obviously it can chop and stab better, which would be useful in a combat or survival, and it has new interesting angles, but would it perform the non violent task as well?

    • @ShelleyRaskin
      @ShelleyRaskin 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      steppenwolf did you bother to understand the four pillars in this knife? The c stands for combat, the other pillars are woodscraft, survival and kitchen chores. Perhaps you need to think before you type, I am interested in the knife as a whole, I have no need for the combat aspect personally and I believe my question did not equate to that, but chopping tends to be a violent, you will note that in a dictionary (do you know what that is) violence means to use force, when I chop I tend to use force, I imagine I could also gently chop, but I think of that as more setting the edge, like if I was going to baton something.

    • @wcknives
      @wcknives 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your questions will be answered in this playlist of videos now published and will be added soon. Yes, it functions very well as a skinner as I show fileting a catfish in the introduction video.th-cam.com/video/oQOhtx2tWKc/w-d-xo.html

      Lucio Anneo Seneca not worth the explanation. If you don’t understand it then why comment? Unless your a maker and unset you can’t come up with new designs or sell at a decent price.

    • @wcknives
      @wcknives 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Lucio Anneo Seneca certainly you can express your ignorant opinion. And I say ignorant because you have not used the product. Price is also a matter of opinion. It is comparably priced to other handmade custom knives. Of course we disagree. Difference is I have used the same designs you probably use, had a collection of 600 plus at one time but I also have used the WCSK so I can talk from experience. There is no comparison. I invite you to watch the complete playlist on my You Tube home page and learn more about this knife design from me and others. You may change your mind as many others has.

    • @wcknives
      @wcknives 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lucio Anneo Seneca lots of things are average. Wooden wheels will get you where you want to go but Goodyear’s made the wheel better that is what this knife was designed for and does. I am of the opinion and many others opinions who has used this knife that it is the improvement of the old tired get you by designs. I’m only adjusting the knife and incorporating the best parts of different designs to make it function easier and better at more tasks. This is what the knife does. If your not open to change then fine. I can live with that if you can. I do take exception to the tone you expressed your opinion without ever trying the knife. If you do not want to pay the price for custom build quality knife that is fine to. But per industry pricing it is not overpriced. You just don’t want to pay the price.

    Interesting ..... Looking forward to the future reviews from paying customers. Visually it's a bit of an abomination, but if it turns out to be a fantastic performing knife then that shouldn't matter to those who feel the need for a survival type knife.

    • @wcknives
      @wcknives 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      All reviews are from paying customers some of these reviewers pay more for it than customers with cash because they have spent ours of their time helping develop and testing the knife. In actuality they pay more in time than someone who buy's one for $240.00 with only a money investment.
