I don't know if I have ever seen as much mana flood as in this draft. Eighteen lands was probably too much, but holy hell, it *really* felt like the game was actively trying to make you lose.
Yup. White and Black can kind of keep pace, but red just doesn't do enough damage with most their removal to fight green, and blue just bounces stuff that usually has enter-the-battlefield value or has ward, like armadillo or cactarantula (effectively ward opponent draws a card). Usually thats ok if you're on the board attacking in, but it feels you often don't get to turn that corner.
That interaction in game 7 when opponent didnt saddle in response prompted me to look up the saddle text turns out you can only saddle as a sorcery! Its not just crew after all!!
That opponent clearly doesn't read cards. Seemed like they didn't know that the varmint could kill haunting, that Razzle-Dazzler couldn't be blocked, etc.
I do not understand why so many people play a card game and then insist on not reading their cards. It's like there's some kind of disease in their brain that says, "Can't read. Can't read. Can't read. Wait, what does this card do? SKIM. SKIM. SKIM. Can't read it fully, why would I?"
The Blue/Red two-spell decks I've drafted have all seen Pulverizer vastly overperform. It just plays so well on the axis of causing board stall into providing reach
Despite the several times I have said this before I still feel compelled to point out that you are the most land-flood cursed player I have ever seen! It literally seems like the game is trying to make you lose quite regularly. A weird form of dramatic entertainment to watch nonetheless. Ha.
@@CoL_Drakethe hand smoothing just tightens the distribution of lands in ur opening hand, less lands in deck = less lands in opening hand on average. Hand smoother only reduces the number of 0/1 landers
Hey LSV I know this might just be me but your microphone really picks up everything so every 20 seconds you can hear you swallow spit which really sounds bad especially when listening on a headset. I don't know if you can adjust it somehow or maybe have a noise canceling option. Love the drafts just not the ASMR lol.
Same. I turn down as much as possible on his uploads because I appreciate the content but it really does something to me, lol. Probably mostly a me problem but I agree ^
Idk about you but I watch LSV because he doesn’t sacrifice competitive edge for content (most of the time). If I wanted someone who takes silly mythics every, I would have plenty of other options
Quit whining you garbage-lord. He uploads Vintage Cube literally every day, except when there's a new set out. I think you can forgo watching a video of the *exact same format, every day* so that we can watch LSV play the actual newest Magic set.
Really enjoy the OTJ drafts! Would like to see more when you get the chance
That game 3 felt great. They were silent in the end lol
Nice!

"Feels like we got a lot of advantageous exchanges and then we still died" is how I often feel against green in this format😂

Definitely haven't been playing that right at the lgs
Game 3 op must have been feeling pretty "Nice" after that
I was the The Sultai Guy, you easily dismantled me with your 2 for 1s but thankfully ended up trophying still lol
36:00 imagine reading Bonny till the end! They could've swung with a 1/1, draw an answer to a 3/3 and it's kinda advantage them from that point on.

appreciate the OTJ drafts. I gear up for the set with LR and what works well in your drafts haha
this is even more spell heavy than i think most people would build blue red but it also avoids playing all the bad cards so it’s kinda brilliant

The kids were really going ham up there. Were they wrasslin’? 😂

bo1 has hand smoothing giving you more lands in ur starting hand, so most people play 1 land less then LSV xD
@@CoL_Drake Sure... that's fine when you don't draw a million land cards throughout the rest of the game, though. Ha.

@@CoL_Drakeit shouldn't increase lands on average, rather reduce the frequency of extremes (5 lands), by selecting the better of 2 sample openers
bullshit lsv is always super lucky
Blue/Red is a really fun deck in this format
Sweet deck. GGs. Thanks for the tips
bro I was so frustrated for you about all this mana flooding. you ran sooooo many filters and cantrips. wild stuff.
Hypothesizzle into the only spell discard is terminal agony with bandit's in play???? damn...

FWIW the audio isn't an issue for me, though this is clearly something that differs from one person to the next.

i've never seen tinybones before. I wonder if it could be strong in the vintage cube...
It would probably just suck vs anyone playing creatures
Liked every second of it.
At this point I need a shirt that says "This is a pretty good ____ deck"
Notice how highway robbery isn't even a crime
Great games, thanks for the content, Arena is much more watchable to me.
Is that actually supposed to be you in the illustration of Hypothesizzle, or is it just an uncanny coincidence?
Thanks for the MTGA content!
Wouldn’t be a luis draft video without the mana flood and wet mouth noises every 15 seconds
LSV is just like let's force the 2 worst colors of the set
IMO, 18 lands with two robbery and mana rock is to mutch.
First pick desert and I am already stuck on the screen
Thank you for the content
I can't get through videos on this client, which is frustrating since I enjoy your videos normally.
Real Magic shuffle
Nice vid! Man, kids nowadays are so annoying, saying "Nice!" to a HOF....well, now you're on YT :P
Arena gameplay! 🎉 Tried to watch the mtgo video but only made it about a third of the way lol
18 lands in draft on arena is just asking to flood every game.
My brother in christ what are we doing not first picking adorable mythics in the new set for youtube videos
Idk about you but I watch LSV because he doesn’t sacrifice competitive edge for content (most of the time). If I wanted someone who takes silly mythics every, I would have plenty of other options
Tinybones isn't particularly good.
Arena shuffler is so bugged
izzet seems to ba able lot of cards, how about playing less lands? you were flooded every second game
With all the filtering running the normal 17 is typically correct. Guarantees you can play your cards and your filtering lets your drop extra lands
when you see that lsv uploaded: 🥳🥳🥳
when you realize its not vintage cube: 🤮😴😴
At any other point in the past year I'd agree but outlaws is actually good
I like the occasional mixups, especially because this set seems very cool
@@Cthuskitotally agree. This is the best limited set since MOM
