I bought this set with the mindset that I just wanted a torx L key set. The ball end is a handy bonus and I didn't care if they were security torx. This set meets this need perfectly. The colored handles make them easily identifiable and the case is very nice to use. Not all of us are so hyper-critical of the tools and nit pick every detail of the set. I just wanted a quality set. This set accomplishes just that.

Hi. Thanks very much for that, I too would've thought they'd put a hole up the other end.

Seems like Wera didn't quite hit the mark with this set. The tools are not really consistent with 3 type of designs it in. Not something you would expect from Wera. I agree that all the L-keys should have looked like the number 10 key.

iamdorus yea, I got this set and it’s kinda a bitch that everything’s different. It still worked for what I need but it’s ~$30 I’m a little disappointed but I’m gonna keep them. But know I know it has a magnetizer so that’s cool.

Nice review! Good to know what not to buy! Just got the same set w.o. Security or ball end, seems nice😊

Yeah I noticed it was quite bad on the first couple minutes. Not sure why it happens more times than others, probably just need to talk slower.

I was wondering what the difference is between this version and the Wera 967/9 TX BO Multicolour 1 SB L-key set for tamper-proof TORX® screws, BlackLaser version on the wera website is with it being the SB version? What does the SB designation on their tools mean?

I"m sure its to do with the packaging , SB is a retail blister-pack - otherwisw you get the card box :)

The hex keys I have, same design except of course for different fasteners, the colourful sleeves are sliding off the keys.
That I find unacceptable since once the sleeves start to slide off it is to start with annoying and secondly the key set holder of hard plastic becomes useless.
Should you lose a sleeve, then the set holder is truly good for nothing since it won’t hold the now sleeveless keys.

Yoda Doug That's beyond the point. You purchase a product for a premium price and you should not need to use any glue whatsoever to keep it together. Unacceptable.

Meh its European probably a dumb good reason for not doing so like certain chemical based products are banned from consumer market.

Yoda Doug Not sure, but a design fail it is. Not recommended to purchase either set of keys should those have sleeves.

Yeah I still need to do some durability testing of the sleeves. Yeah once they are gone then you have to use something else to hold them.

So, in a gist: Don't buy the set, just the TX 10 key.

What a strange set. I’ve liked the Wera tools I’ve bought, but these are poorly designed.

    • @GermanToolReviews

I think they just added the bore to an already existing set.

Good video, BTW. I forgot to mention that.
Your guess makes sense, but I still don't understand why they would do that. As you noted in the video, they've produced a set here that doesn't look very useful.
