A quick- totally unbiased- two year/~10,000 mile review of my Euro 4 version: I got a full top box on mine no problem- does make it a pain to get under the seat though. PROS: The engine is an absolute gem- never missed a beat in the 24 months I've had mine- not the most powerful unit though- I'm often out "dragged" by 125 scooters. But who cares- it's to learn on. It's comfy and upright with a lovely soft seat. Brakes are fine. Adjusting the chain is quick and easy- DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN ANYTHING- just a nip is fine on the adjuster tightening nuts- and half a grunt; when tightening the rear wheel nut- no more! The headlight is nice and bright- as are the rear indicators and brake light. The wheels and tyres are fine for road use- even in the wet(However, I did have the dealership put a road tyre on the front of mine before I got it, and i'd also add to just be a little bit more careful in very wet conditions, when leaves are all over the road, because these are not the best tyres you can get- they last long, but no Rossi antics round the bends or roundabouts!) and they look better than most other 125cc bike-wheels, the Assault's are nice and wide- they actually look like proper motorcycle's. The display is simple and clear- giving you all the info you really need- including a gear indicator and fuel gauge. Fuel mileage is very good- I can bang £10 in, and it lasts for ages. It sounds pretty good- not too loud, but a pleasant- low frequency thudder- (strangely, it gets the attention of A LOT of dogs(the K9 variety😂) for some reason). It does handle well(for the power delivery), and it's very eager to change direction(especially when avoiding potholes). The plastics all over this bike are good quality, and very robust. All the controls are easy to reach and adjust if needed. CONS: The front Indicators are pretty much useless- I can hardly see them in bright sunlight- and I can tell not too many other road users can either, but only in the day time when it's very bright. The rear suspension is shocking!(pun intended) really stiff, I can feel the fillings in my teeth rattle on some potholes and drain cover holes- really bloody hurts my spine and neck sometimes, BUT not that bad when you know where all the holes in the road are! Front suspension is very divey under braking, and the clutch(the actual plates down in the engine) seems a bit cheap- but the lever is very easy to pull and hold if necessary- you get used to it. The exhaust(from the head to just before the can) rusts very quickly- but still in one piece at the time writing this. Small rusty spots on the frame and front forks, and all over the place- including under the seat, and especially on weld points! BUT!, a small tin of Hammerite- direct-to-rust paint, and a can of anti rust spray for the forks- has stopped all that in its tracks- so not a problem anymore- at-all. It does not like to start in cold weather (but what motorcycle does?) The service interval for the warranty is ~2k, which is a joke, so I jacked that almost immediately. But it's your choice and risk. A few false neutrals between 1st and 2nd, here and there, but nothing over the top. 60 mph is the maximum speed I feel comfortable sitting at for any reasonable spells of time(not that long really)- and that's honestly pushing it to its limits, but this is a city and surrounding areas kind of bike- and for that purpose; it's fantastic. The mirrors are as viby as... anything very vibration-prone!? But you can see enough to carry out maneuvers safely. CONCLUSION: Definitely worth the price, and has served me very well in the two years I've had it. I got it to learn the craft, to get to and from work on- and at a very reasonable price. I would DEFINITELY recommend this bike to new riders. I've done just over 10 thousand miles now, and it hasn't cost too much to keep it going. You get used to everything about this bike- like anything else with flaws- you adapt! and starting on such a bike is a good idea in my opinion- if you can master riding a basic geared bike like this, then when you finally do get a higher-priced and higher quality machine- it's a walk in the park. With all the negative things about this bike- NOTHING IS A DEAL-BREAKER for me- it's a very wise purchase as a first geared motorcycle. I've ridden this bike for maybe 3+ hours at the longest, and I wasn't that fatigued after, at all. 7/10* Overall- for the price of this very decent machine, and for what it's made for; it's a very smart buy IMHO. Pretty much any replacement part is available on CMPO.com (chinesemotorcyclepoartsonline.com) and at a very reasonable price. I'm more than happy with mine. I actually get a few compliments about this bike- people always say it looks good.
Can you email this to me in as much detail as you can? i will publish it on my website if you wish if you send a pic of yourself and you name i will publish that aswell
Hi Chris. Dunno if u would know but thought it was worth the ask. I’m looking at buying one of these bikes so during my background checks ect I noticed the number plate is correct for the vehicle on mot and tax ect but when I’m looking at insurance quotes it’s coming back as a Diablo 125 and there is not a model option for a assault. Any idea why this could be?

Hi, you might want to modify your cost of riding piece as it still says it comes with 12 months breakdown cover which Lexmoto quietly dropped. I did comment this on your review a little while a go and also on Lexmotos first ride of the Isca. Strangely both my comments have disappeared. Obviously it's an embarrassment for them.
both your comments should be there i will add it to the description as a amendment it doesn't matter to me i dont work directly for lexmoto and they have no power over my videos your out of all the comment anyone has ever written i have only remove 1 due to the person putting lots of swearwords on his comment and im not about that and yes they were a bit sneaky they sent us a email about one of there promotions and added a little paragraph at the bottom
Hi Chris, I had a problem today with my 4 month old Lexmoto Echo. It was difficult to start first thing but started, I went to the Garage around the corner put petrol in but when i came to start the bike up it would not start at all. I tried kick & electric start on several occasions with no luck. I have breakdown cover so to cut a long story short, it was taken to the dealer today who told me that a Glass fuse that is next to the battery had broken and that it was this fuse that was stopping the engine from sparking. I know that you are always looking for new Idea's for your Vlogs so how about one on...... My bike won't start and what to look for. Maybe two Vlogs, one kerb side get me to the nearest garage and another of what to look for and how to fix in your own shed/garage ect. My bike dealer told me that if this happened again then a quick way to tell the problem is to take the wire's from either side of the glass fuse and twist them together, if the bike then starts then i will know that the fuse needs replacing. All the best.
Sorry you had issues with your bike and i think i will take you up on your idears thank you for that in regards to what the other garage said yes in a emergency yes you can do that with the wires but unless it is a real emergancy please dont that fuze is there incase of a short if you bypass it and it shorts out best scenario is it melts all the earth wires on you bike worst scenario is it will set your bike on fire also in the plastic fuze holder there should be aspare fuze

No. You're not - they must be 178x178mm. If you cut them down at all (except rounding off edges) it's a failure to display.. 3 penalty points, up to £1000. Each end, so conceivably 6 points. Which is disqualification for many drivers. If someone sells you a bike in this condition they're also potentially guilty of causing the offence, and can be prosecuted for that. Now most cops probably couldn't care less. But why take a risk?
@@Ridingreviews You probably wouldn't as most police would neither know nor care. Unless you did something else to attract their ire, in which case it's the kind of thing they'll rapidly find out about.
