SKanDaL actually Hungary had a VERY strong team in the 1950s. With players like Ferenc Puskás and Sándor Kocsis, they had the strongest team at the time. They were so good that, when Germany beat them 3-2 in the 1954 World Cup Final, the result became known as the “Miracle of Bern” because of how surprising the German victory was, I mean, for goodness sake, the team were unbeaten during 31 games stretching 5 YEARS. If that isn’t incredible, I don’t know what is. Hungary really deserved that title. Love from Brazil

Watching this it looks clear to me that England, Uruguay, Argentina and Italy are one of the best because of the tradition. That Spain, France, Hungary, Netherlands and even Soviet Union enjoyed a good time being the best. The win loss ratio doesn't really matter that much, most European team play tougher competition more often. Even in the World Cup competition they would have a higher win ratio than all other teams but it would be alot closer.

If you check the FIFA ranking criteria, the punctuation criteria for each game is also defined by the confederation each country of the match is from. CONMEBOL, aka South America without Guyanas, has a value of 1 on the maths. UEFA countries have a value of 0.99.
Why? Because the average Conmebol member is tougher than the average European. Conmebol has only like 12 countries, no one is a complete weakling like many from Europe, mostly small countries, like Andorra, Malta and Lichtenstein or non countries like Gibraltar, which all are UEFA associates. There's also many very weak countries, from the Baltics, former USSR, former Yugoslavia.
Brazil is more expected to play against SA countries, not Montenegro, the same way Germany is more expected to play against weaker countries than Brazil since it's continent has many. So your argument is actually kinda on my side.
