I was listening on the radio all of west Texas 1973 -1982 to Willie's songs. Me and my guitar learned " Shot Gun Willie."

Been a Willie Fan since early 60's when first hearing Mr. Record Man.
Willie has been my favorite since I was a kid in listening to him with my Pa in his truck back when I was little. Now, although Dad has passed over, many years later, I listen to Willie with my beautiful boys and I smile thinking of those times with my Father and what a blessing it is to have them enjoy this with me and this unique American heritage that is bestowed upon us. The best of us comes through in our music. Truly, in this way, there is something to the word “Soul” and how we can feel it through the tunes. Best to Willie and all my fellow fans!
Don't just call Willie a legend the man is an ICON

I remember at 10 years old listening to Willie on the radio. After hoeing cotton all day n resting on the top of the chicken house.....n the shade. Listening to somebody who felt like I did!

I remember watching this show in Ft Worth TX (in "74 I guess) Was at my girlfriends uncles house. It was shown on KERA TV in Dallas and I think it was live.( or could have been in Austin. my mind wanders a little now) Thanks so much for posting this! Brings back a wonderful time in my life.

I watched this as well. I was living in Irving. I distinctly remember seeing Jerry Jeff Walker come on stage and join Willie in singing Redneck Mother. I don't know why that portion wasn't included.
