- Cold snap allowed me to get out last weekend for an extended hunt. Went back to a field that was recently cut. Still plenty of ground to cover - can't wait to see what pops out of the ground next!

Love that stuff, flat buttons, old little ring and a cuff link... never gets old..
Nice weather for digging treasure. Great digs, as always. You’re a class act, Matt.
Awesome cuff link. Great job cleaning it up. I agree with you--bridle rosette. Great finds and HH Dave.
Enjoyed todays hunt!! Nice relics from years gone by!!
Layers of history at this location, Mr. Beepers. Thanks for watching! HH
Very nice finds Matt, I enjoyed it Thank you.
Iron on the back of the powder valve was the spring that kept it closed. Love that cufflink. Good job!
Thanks for the heads-up on the powder valve - perhaps I'll find the flask one day. Thanks for watching - HH!
Awesome!!! Looks like a powder flask top to me. Cuff link looks great! Nice hunt!!!
Thanks - had no idea it was a powder flask spout 'till I got home. HH!
Awesome finds Matt. Love the beautiful cuff link. That cut field looks like it is gonna pay off for you. Congrats brother. Thanks for sharing. Until next time.. GL, HH, and as always.... DIG ON!

Thank you, High Tones - HH!
Nice finds Matt. Very nice horse rosette. I can't believe how nice that cuff link came out...nice job as always. Paul.
Nice hunt Matt. It's a good time of year for fields to be cut with the grass going dormant. It should give you a good winter of hunting. I recently found a rosette similar to the one you found, but just the center part. Great cuff link.
Thanks Shannon - the ground is dry as a bone. Can't wait to get a fresh rain. The signals will come to life! HH
Love that gold plated cuff link, nice job! I am sure there is more there! GL&HH on the next one, see ya then
Nice finds Matt, that ring was really cool, and the cuff-link was beautiful!
The whole east coast has been waiting for a cold front and welcome it. I think going off to detect was exactly the thing to do. Some nice finds Matt, congrats.
That CLR works amazingly Matt some beautiful finds there buddy GL&HH Simon
Really nice hunt. Love that fork looking thing, neat. The powder measure was one of my first whatzits till I figured it out. Nice buttons and wow the cuff link is perrty! Cool ring as well, almost forgot that one. Keep that perm on the down low..:)
GL&HH

Thanks for dropping by, Dumpsite - hope to get more vids uploaded if these darn hurricanes will leave me alone! HH
Wow Matt, that cuff link turned out incredible. Great job of cleaning it up. I loved the flat buttons and the powder flask spout. Great digging my friend
Nice hunt and the cuff link was amazing after the clean up. Got to try that CLR on some of my flat buttons. Enjoy your videos.
Nice hunting man! I wonder if that mystery piece is a watch winder with it being squared off at that sunny end and with the pattern lines pointing that way. I agree I think that piece with the lead backing is part of a hits bridle rosette. Gorgeous buttons and nice clean up on the cuff link buddy! Happy hunting Matt!
Could be a watch winder Joe, but it's larger than the average winder. Certainly an old hunk of brass whatever it is. Thanks for watching, man - HH!
Nice hunt!!
glad ur still digging good luck nice finds that cufflink looks like maybe an animal with a sectioned tail? like a rattler or armidillo?
Thanks for watching, Patty - HH!
Nice hunt Matt! Had you found anymore of that powder flask in the past? That's exciting - maybe it's still out there! I've watched your CLR cleaning method video, but need to check it out again for a little convex button I just dug. Congrats on that beautiful cufflink. Best wishes, Chris
Thanks Chris - I found some powder flask parts last year, but that was several miles from this location. Yes, the CLR works well on plated items for sure. HH!
WOW THAT CLEANED UP NICE,NOW I WILL SUBSCRIBE,BECAUSE THE HOVER BOYS SAID SO
Nice digs! My immediate first thought when seeing that cuff link was "OCTOPUS!!!"
Does anybody else see it?
I kept trying to find a design/symbol on that cuff link, but I think it's just abstract. Pretty cool piece though - thanks for watching!
That unidentifiable thing with the pattern almost looks like part of an Empire State lapel pin.
Matt, what detector were you hunting with on this hunt?
I picked up a Whites MXSport for water detecting a few weeks ago, and I pre-ordered the Minelab Equinox 800. I think it is going to be a killer machine. Day in and day out though my go to detector is still my Etrac
I'm looking forward to the Equinox hitting the market. Looks like a good one! Love those Minelab tones - just hard to deal with the weight of an E-Trac after swinging the Deus.
I agree completely Matt, the Etrac is a beast when it comes to weight. I have high expectations for the Equinox
