The best Nordderby in my opinion was the second leg of the semifinal of the uefa-cup in 2008/09 when Werder basically got through to the final because of a paper ball that was thrown out of of frustration on the pitch by some HSV fan. A HSV defender tried to pass the ball back to the keeper but it deflected of the paper ball and from the resulting corner Werder scored to win the game
