@@Dr.KarlowTheOctoling People have been comparing it to the Sukhoi Su57 Felon and F-35 when those are pretty recent, and considering it was first flown in 1995, I think that it's definitely a winner at dogfights and overall a great fighter jet with it's advancements.

(Spoiler alert, block 30 and 35 exist) the raptors was, even in the 90’s was a 5th generation fighter (and first ever), a feat only one other country (China) has been able to properly put out (no I do not count the felon as a 5th gen, it is a 4.5 gen) it is the undisputed king of the skies among the people of the combat aviation world (except the weirdos that think the su-57 would actually win), so it is pretty wild.
I get to see these guys practice formations in Savannah Georgia on my lunch and breaks at work. I noticed a pattern over the years of them ramping up the number of drills/practice flights they do in a week, then you don’t see or hear them for a few weeks. And then like clockwork you hear of a new conflict going on in the world.
A cameras microphone and phone/computer speakers can’t do it justice. Just standing near a normal jet’s running APU hurts without ear protection, and it’s definitely worse when the engines are running

Way quieter than what I was expecting. I know it’s throttle isn’t that high cause it isn’t taking off yet but still pretty quiet

These things are painfully loud even with double ear protection. You feel the vibration in your chest, rattling your bones.
