I just watched this movie and loved it. Thought they picked the perfect actors for both characters. It was beautiful, raw and awkward (which is great because most teens are awkward and never really know what to say). I guess the only thing I disliked was the fact that Aimee while she became more confident to stand up to her mom like a lot of girls just lets the guy slide by when they royally mess up and suddenly she was drinking ALL the time. Besides that I don't get how this movie didn't get more attention.

Shailene is the queen of YA adaptations. In addition to this movie, she has Divergent (also with Miles) and The Fault in Our Stars.

Shailene Woodley has to be nominate this year for her wonderful performance.
In "The descendats" she deserved a nomination, and she wasn't nominated.
I hope that the Academy has learned from past mistakes.

Sometimes the ignored films are the best.Just remember how many nominations they gave to that chick flick Silver Linnings Playbook,in my opinion that movie was ok,but i really doubt that it deserved all the attention that generated.Ma Vie en Rose its an awesome movie that didn´t even got the Oscar for best foreign film;sometimes its just much better to stay "Underground".
