This movie is so beautiful. Miles Teller's character reminds of both the best and worst aspects of my older brother. He's away on a trip right now for a few months so this movie is still so amazing for me just to watch over and over again and cry about. Beautiful work, when you can make someone see a real person inside a character. Beautiful. Side note: I'm so glad Miles gets to sing and play piano in the new Top Gun. After hearing him talk so passionately about music, that was the perfect scene for him.
That moment when miles is talking about how she talked about prom or whatever, and you have a feeling he's going to use the word cute. And what do you know? He says it was cute not a minute later and then tags on "for her character".
I love that they're both incredibly attractive, but in a very classic way. Nothing conventionally cookie-cutter about their looks, and such fantastic personalities to top it off.

I saw this movie last night and it was great. It is as far from a crappy teen drama as you can get. Go see it when it opens before the word gets out and you have to stand in a long line. Who would have guessed that the best films of the Summer would be about teens. The Spectacular Now has the best performances , the acting rings true. Too bad the audience that should see this film is too young to get in.
