Its for her quickness! When you have a fast middle it forces the defense to jump everytime, leaving the pins with opportunities. These players aren't giving anything for free, its all earned. So no more should of would've could've. Lets give this squad all the positive energy it can absorb. Ensure the alternate women still cheers that they all do great. GO USA!
Hancock and Frantti are 2 of the 5 alternates on this Olympic squad; wild that there’s 5 vs. Men’s team with only 1 alternate. Poulter still not 💯 after knee injury so KK likely to utilize Carlini FT during the long stretches. Carlini a better setter but Hancock so strong in all other areas including blocking and of course her wicked serve. 🏐💨 LET’S GO TEAM USA! 💪🏼 🇺🇸🥇🥇🥇🇺🇸👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Only one player out of those five alternates will go to Paris as the 13th player. It's just that the U.S. team hasn't chosen yet who the alternate 13th player will go to Paris. That's to be announced soon, probably after the VNL is over. So those five alternates have a chance to vie and compete for that place during the next two weeks of the VNL.
As long as everyone digs deep, recognizes and ACCEPTS their roles, there’s no reason for this All Star team to come home empty handed - in fact, many will bring home their SECOND GOLD in as many Olympics! 🇺🇸🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🇺🇸
Micha has stopped doing her jump serve. Did not do it once in VNL up to this point. Stats show too many errors vs aces. Stats also show opponents were not really affected by her jump.
MBH isn't conditioned to play. She played for Columbus fury as a substitute not a starter. Their full matches are uploaded here on YT, you can watch it and see why she's not in the national team at the moment.
I think she's only gonna play for fun going forward and not compete at the highest level which takes immense physical and mental work; especially considering the insane calendar pro volleyball players have playing for club + national team.
I agree on 11 players for the Paris 2024 roster, except Ogbogu. Ogbogu is very inconsistent as a player. In this 2024 VNL Ogbogu was taking off the court at least twice and replaced by another middle blocker who delivered more on the court. I think Anna Hall should be going to Paris instead of Ogbogu. Anna Hall was robbed. And also why not take Frantti to Paris? Frantti better be the 13th player as the alternate. Robinson/Cook is also kind of inconsistent and quite often she just tips the ball to score points. I think Karch will have a hard time in Paris to get Olympic Gold back to back. I think the team to beat in female indoor volleyball in Paris 2024 is Poland.... mark my words ! But also, teams like Türkiye, Italy, and Brazil are very strong this time around and these teams will be hard to beat. I'll be rooting for the USA women's team, but honestly, I think they will lose in the Quater finals. After Tokyo 2020 the US women's volleyball hasn't performed that well and Karch has had a hard time trying to find new good players. That's my two cents. Good Luck USA !!
Robinson Cook is MUCH more consistent than Frantti. She played incredibly in club all year and has delivered. Ogbogu I also feel has been pretty good. Hall is definitely good too but the only person you could maybe replace her with is Rettke (not really though). The only real surprise for me is Carlini over Hancock which we shall see how it goes
@@ramen8760 I agree. Robinson Cook played incredibly well in club in Italy this past season.... she grew a lot as a player lately. My problem with Ogbogu is her consistency and she doesn't score a lot of points and gets blocked a lot when she is on the court playing for the US. The Powerhouse teams have a lot of really good players and that will make the difference in this Paris Olympic games. Also, teams like Poland, Türkiye, Italy, Brazil, Serbia, China hit the ball a lot harder than the American women do. Women's volleyball is becoming more and more like Men's volleyball playing more like men and more aggressively. US women's volleyball need to start playing that way. The only American player right now who has a heavy arm and plays like men is Annie Drews. I hope Karch has some good plan for Paris and that he will surprise us. He did surprise me in Tokyo 2020.
@@ramen8760 Hancock is better than Carlini... that surprised me too. I guess Karch wanted to give Carlini a chance since she has been with the US team since 2017. If the US doesn't perform well in Paris I think Karch will regret taking Carlini and Ogbogu to Paris.
Ogbogu was a sub in 2021. Akinradewo and Washington basically played the whole thing. To be fair, usually no team would put 2 Olympic rookies out of 3 in their list. as Dana Rettke has taken the rookie spot. Hall is good, but not over Rettke on the olympic rookie list. Same thing with outside and setter side. I agree that carlini isn't really new anymore, she just didnt make the list on the last cycle. I'd pick hancock over her, but hey, carlini probably still on the next olympic cycle, hancock probably will be retired by then. so I don't blame karch for this choice.

Not enough to win Türkiye, Brazil, Italy and Poland.
I dunno why coach Kiraly chose Justine Wong-Orantes. I meant she's good. But Morgan Hentz, she's more then good. She's better. Hentz is younger than Orantes. Her digs, her reflect. Everything
I agree. Justine Orantes level of volleyball has gone down after Tokyo. Hentz is better. I've seen them both play since 2022 and Hentz has an edge over Orantes... digs better and is faster than Orantes. Karch will regret not taking the right players to Paris. I think Orantes, Ogbogu, and Carlini should not be going to Paris. Maybe the roster will change before Paris. Sometimes players get injured during matches and practices and are replaced by others. Not that I wish anyone to get injured.
@@hy-electric1027 I've been the USA volleyball team's fan since 2017. I have watched all their games. If that's what you meant. Orantes not as good as 4 or 5 years ago. Her appearance began to decline
@manforU100 Oh, Vargas is a really good player.. also we love her so much. But...! . She started playing for the Türkish National team in 2023, If you look at the history of the team, you will see that there were many trophies already won before she arrived. The thing is Volleyball is a very popular sport (in our country) and there are many players coming in the following generations who will not upset their older sisters who are currently wearing the National Jersey. We will see you at the Olympics... again :) ... as our girls said, the American team is a good opponent for training.
I love the way how they announced the roster🥰
USA volleyball 🏐🏐 tem world number 1 team i lov you USA im from Nepal ❤❤❤
How about the fact that 25% of the starting roster for former University of Nebraska players??
The best college volleyball program in the country!!!!
Love 🇺🇸USA from Thailand❤❤
Love USA from Hong Kong
Good luck to you from İstanbul-Turkiye. would love to see US-Team in olympic final against Turkiye.
ITALY - BRASIL would be the best final for sure!
Best of luck for the next Olympic championship ❤💙🤍Go Team USA!!!😎😎❤❤❤
A very good volleyball team made up of a great group of people. I am behind you all the way. Now go get that Gold Medal !!!
As a Turkish. I love Thompson . After Larson, Plummer. These are also the best personalities. .

Where is MBH? 😢
She’s good back then but I watched her sub in at pro volleyball federation, no hard feelings but I wouldn’t recommend
@@nanabish2388 damn, based on Tokyo Olympics, I thought she could be the one who played well in self-defense also attacking
Where is Michelle Batsch Hackley she deserve the spot
She retired in 2022 or early 2023 after finishing her last club season. I think she is an assistant coach somewhere in the U.S.
She played in the PVF for the Columbus Fury... maybe watch her recent stuff and you'll understand

Volunteer assistant at Ohio State. Made the decision early.
So what’s the roster?

it's plenty enough as long as they find the synergy and their rhythm.
They certainly can. They almost beat Turkey in 5 sets and had a tightly contested match against Poland. I believe in this USA team.
