I like the tell/no tell nut loose arrows.👍
I was waiting for the very end of the video and I was wondering how you refill The hub oil anyway that was a great video good job.
Thanks for watching!!
There is a rubber plug in the center of the hub cap. Remove it and fill to the line.
I am surprised there isn't some kind of press to press out the kingpin...but excellent job with no annoying background music 👍🏾👍🏾
There is. Use it.every time. OTC brand
Thanks for watching!!
Tiger tool has one
my favorite hammer. done a lot of those back in the day.
Thanks for watching!!
Indeed a fascinating video, no need for talking
If you jack the steer axle up every time you service won't be replacing king pins n bushings same for trunions .
A little bit of grease n oil n filters go along way .
Thanks for watching!!
When I was driving the kingpins & bushings took grease or were jacked up so they did take grease
You working that chair 🪑 😂😂😂
Wtf? Dude was driving around like that? 😂 that’s insane. He must have had a serious vibration and death wooble 😆
Thanks for watching!! You wouldn't believe some of the stuff I see.
It's not difficult to get apart until you have get out the hot wrench . And if you don't have to replace the spindle it's not badly worn either . I'm a trash truck mechanic and some of the garbage I see is worse than what goes in the truck
Another great video thanks for making it!!
Thanks for watching!!
Do you replace the hub seal ?
Thanks for watching!! Yes seal was replaced it just didn't make it in the video.
@@SemiWorkin I was about to say I didn’t see the hub seal and bearing replaced after removal thank you for replying to this!
That is a f-en job changing them !!
Thanks for watching!!
Yeah it is done this several times! Even worse job is fifth wheel boom pivot bushings 👍🏻
I'm 60 been working on junk my entire life . I have never ever seen such worn out king pins.
Thanks for watching!! You wouldn't believe some of the junk I see and nobody takes care of stuff anymore.
Buen video saludos desde chile
You make it look so easy! I think you need a bigger impact?
Thanks for watching!!
Well done
Thanks for watching!!
Were you able to just replace the bushings, and kingpin with a standard replacement, or did the spindle require extra machining and a oversized pin ?
Thanks for watching, I used a standard size king pin and bushing. The pin wore through the bushing causing damage to the spindle. Had to send it off to a machine shop to be sleeved. Here's the video showing the bushing replacement:th-cam.com/video/yLJAef8NpKc/w-d-xo.html
I love your videos 😍😍😍😍
Thanks for watching!!
@@SemiWorkin need more videos please an brakes and air system then electrical please ever bit helps
Manda un video pero como se quita con freno de pastiyas
Se ninguém prestou atenção, faltou o retentor interno da ponta de eixo, a não ser q ele tenha dado pause e colocado sem a gente ver. Mas o serviço foi bom.
I've done my share of those 😡🤬. Nice job guys 👍.
Thanks for watching!!
Are all american made trucks use oil in their hub?
Instead of grease
More and more all along.
But many still run packed grease bearings.
@@soillife1 what's the benefit then?
Ramadan
In my opinion.
Its personal choise.
Thanks for watching!! 90% of the trucks I work on are oil hubs.

Как тяги сбивает руки оторвать далдону
Did you replace the bushings?
Thanks for watching!! Yes I did check out the video here: th-cam.com/video/yLJAef8NpKc/w-d-xo.html
Nice work. Not fun by no means. Don't miss it myself. But I have to ask, why after all that work did you not replace the anchor pin with the new brakes?
Thanks for watching!! There was nothing wrong with the anchor pin and this style it doesn't come with the hardware kit.
@@SemiWorkin Thanks for the reply. Just wanted to ask bc of my curiosity. I guess if they suggested it be changed, it would be in the hardware kit.
Thanks for the videos.
You k kw if you hit the knuckle instead of driving the TRE down by the ball joint it comes out a lot easier and you dont ruin a TRE.
Thanks for watching!! I usually don't reuse TRE and this way is pretty easy.
What are those red things underneath the wheel lug nuts?
Ever had an issue after is all done you go to grease it and the cap comes out?
Thanks for watching!! Yes I run into that a lot.
why not apply grease for bearing??
Thanks for watching!! Bearing uses oil instead of grease.
Forgot back bearing
Thanks for watching!!
Why do you put the nut back on the spindle when your working? So you don't loose it?
protects threads too
Thanks for watching!! Main reason is to protect threads.
Ever try an electric hammer to beat out that king pin?
Thanks for watching!! I've tried just about everything even a 50 ton press struggles sometimes and sometimes they fall out.
Te falto poner el reten camarada
How much does that job cost parts/labor?
Thanks for watching!!
A lot, money well spent, a little late for my taste.
