Some people dont live in places where ccw is issued. This is the only option. Also if you can get a ccw, some places dont allow carry in them. So you leave it in the safe. Not so stupid imo.

Having to go to court or to a school or somewhere else you're not allowed to carry and putting your gun in your glove box or unprotected center console to let some damn loser dirtbag steal it in under 60 seconds. If you do this, you're an irresponsible gun owner -- period. You shouldn't be storing a gun in your vehicle as a general rule anyway -- it should be on your person. Besides, these are not *just* for guns, but are for other valuables as well.
Sometimes you can't carry into some businesses. This is the option to use. Also, my gun is not in the safe when I'm driving. It's accessible in half a second. This is useful if you're going to sporting events where you can't carry and other places while you're away from your vehicle.
