      Hi Tanya, thank you! We used a brand called Visubtex that's here in Buenos Aires but after doing some research we saw that the equivalent in the States would be the SIser EasySubli. Great video, what brand of sublimation paper and vinyl do you use? I use A Sub brand paper with Siser white vinyl and it seems to stick to the vinyl and is dull looking at 390 degrees Fahrenheit. I tried lower temp and got the same results. Any suggestions?

    • @themakershq
      @themakershq  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching and your comment? For the Siser white vinyl, are you using EasySubli? In our research, it's the best one for dark fabric vinyl/sublimation. Also are you tacking down the vinyl first for 5-15 seconds (depending)? We'll be doing a video this upcoming week on it so we'll have more to go from there.
      For the brand of sublimation we get it at a printer in Buenos Aires (where we currently live) and for the vinyl we used Visubtex 01 by a company named Moritzu. I don't know if you can get the vinyl outside of South America but it's worth looking into.

      Can't just sublimate straight to normal white htv it will always turn out faded, only specific sublimation htv or glitter htv can be used.
      To "sublimate" on normal white htv and avoid the fade, you print to dtf film and powder it with dtf powder.

    Is this just regular HTV ? How did that look after washing ? I thought that to sublimate on HTV you would need to use Sublimation HTV, or other variants but not regular white HTV. I also saw some other videos of people doing and failing. Please, help me to understand what exactly was used. If share brands or links, even better. Thank you.

    • @themakershq
      @themakershq  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your comment!! 1. No, this is sublimation HTV bought here in Buenos Aires and the brand is called Moritzu and yes it was still good after washing.
      2. We also did a video using Siser EasySubli which can be found in North America, and again it was sublimation HTV and did pass the wash test, this is the link th-cam.com/video/7KXFnNIxd8U/w-d-xo.html
      3. Finally, we have done multiple videos showing how you can use regular HTV to print on . You for sure have to do your own tests but most of them passed multiple wash tests so far. This is a link th-cam.com/video/--Cx4sgDozg/w-d-xo.html.
      4. Siser also has a great video about printing on various HTV here th-cam.com/video/7PQsRf6Hbds/w-d-xo.html .

    What is better, clear vynil for dark shirts/white shirts. Or, white vynil for dark shirts/ white shirts

    • @themakershq
      @themakershq  ปีที่แล้ว

      Clear vinyl only works with white or very light shirts because it is transparent and will show the color of the shirt you are sublimating on. White vinyl on the other hand is opaque and white so it can be applied to any color shirt. It's going to create a white background for you to sublimate on. 🙂

    • @themakershq
      @themakershq  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the question! No, for this one we used white heat transfer vinyl (HTV) and in this case it was shiny. You have to look for vinyls that can be sublimated on (and for fabric if that's what you want to do) because there are A LOT of different HTVs as far as we can see. You can for sure also do sublimation on top of glitter vinyl, which we'll show more in-depth in the upcoming weeks.
