@@sumanv8888 And that makes ecosport a better offroader? These two cars have completely different purposes. If 9 out of 10 Indians want showing off and gimmicks over off-road/adventure, you will see the reflection in sales.
A person looking for mini SUV will have these requirements in his mind. 1) It should cover bad roads or village roads comfortably. 2) It should comfortably cruise on highway at around 80-110 km/h. 3) It should comfortably carry 5 people with their luggage. 4) Build quality should be tough enough to withstand Indian roads. Review here is not good. It is covering those aspects which SUV buyers are not looking for. I mean who is going to buy SUV for speed? Instead won't i go and buy polo GT or linea Tjet? I have Liva with me. When i went to see Eco Sport. it's a total disappointment. Back seat in Liva (Hatchback) can accommodate 3 people but the same 3 people can not seat comfortably in eco sport. What is the point in upgrading from hatchback to mini suv when i am getting space less than hatchback? On long journey with family this space matters and not the top speed. On the other hand TUV offers great space. It has great build quality.
Yes TUV300 reminds me same as great space and shape as i was used to take Tiffin Box in my school :p .. Beside Ford campaign Ecosport as Urban SUV and passed with 4 stars in Crashing Test *safety & accident.
studrawker Ford Figo got zero rating... So does that mean all ford vehicle will be unsafe? You might say Range Rover as tiffin box... but globally all SUV lovers love that vehicle.. Ecosport is just a hatchback with more ground clearance... it's nothing more than that... You can be happy with that vehicle as it gives you a chance to go over potholes without scrapping underbody... But SUV is meant to go where roads are not exists... so lot of stress on chasis will be there... take ecosport over there and you will find door misaligned... Now regarding crash... Just take a look at this and you will know how safe you are... www.team-bhp.com/forum/street-experiences/109249-pics-accidents-india-989.html
Man, where are you leading this conversation. Range Rover ? indeed out of this Segment and League. It has different market and truly amazing in Global SUV segments. I am sorry but i am not a Highway truck driver. My job is to pass over through daily roads with Heavy Traffic and numbers of red light inside the City. Cars so called SUV does not mean it has everything what we need for daily purpose. Yes, if you want compatible SUV for Indian highways/village/small town then Mahindra Xuv 500 is far better than Mahindra TUV300. About crashing, The Ford Figo did manage to pass the UN test. Beside i do not know which evidence were you trying to show, Please read what are they actually discussing about and then post any link. i have n numbers of pictures of crashing Mahindra SUVs as well but they are not matter of discussion here. You should practically check and Test yourself and then we will talk about features between TUV 300 and Ecosport.
You mentioned about shape of TUV.. so i just reminded that range rover also have same tiffin box look... I am also making a same point... for city/highway use ford ecosport is good... but don't call it as SUV... Accept the fact that it is not SUV... it's just a marketing gimmick for Indians... Indian Ford figo safety rating you will find in google, youtube... just search for it.. I have driven ford ecosport TUV, XUV, Safari and many more... and i know how they rides... There is no doubt that ecosport will outrun all other in 0-100 run... but then many hatchback can do that... Just take ecosport off the road with all these other vehicle then you will understand what difference they have in their engine and chassis... In India automobile company fit same engine to all their vehicle of different categories(shape) and people buy that... Avanger get engine of pulsar and company launch it as cruiser... nobody knows how cruiser engine feels so everybody just buy that because it LOOKS like cruiser... I know avenger owner who compare it with Harley or Thunderbird... by saying hey look at the Speed and refinement and blah blah blah... Ecosport is a good vehicle... it serves practical purpose of people in city... But is it a SUV?? If Avenger is a cruiser then Yes...
No doubt TUV is better value for money here and lot specious middle row seats and tough build. Eco sport is just like any other hatchback with uncomfortable 2nd row of seats.
See third row in tub is useless in ecosport u have more boot tuv last seat is unsafe no seat belt and there is no ac vent @future world u understand that
@@ulluwebseries8188 and in Bolero Neo they have ZERO IMPROVEMENTS ! So the same car which did badly 6 years ago is come back with fresh branding. Shame on Mahindra!
@motorbeam agree to most of your views. as a blind car to car comparison it is fair. but both were built with different market in mind. ecosport, has the finish and refinement a city car would need. it would say it is a small C-RV (honda really named it city recreational vehicle) but in India called an SUV or soft roader. but once the car to car comparison is replaced by purpose, both Ecosport and TUV falls short by your own standards. ecosport is happy in city traffic and some country side. TUV instead is happy in full country side and some city use. the review sounded more like picking up the positives of ecosport and not looking at the positives of tuv. I dont see both as real offroaders without 4w drive. but TUV has the rear wheel advantage. The landscape you showed, in and around mumbai, ecosport is fine. But take it to more undulating landscapes like flat rocks of karjat or even soft sugar fields of pune, you will find TUV doing much much better I found TUV more airy and comfortable. As i am used to Mahindra (imagine the horror of migrating from honda to mahindra), the rattle n stuff isnt much an issue. In towns and country sides, Mahindra excels with its heavy and tough body. the ecosport exterior literally falls apart on hitting a small rock. Moreover, cost of ownership should be considered, atleast over the next 3 yrs, when doing reviews Its indeed sad that TUV attempted to cramp in 7 but then that too helps in rest of India. I wish it had a more high end punch too but then in the purpose area that TUV is looking at, low end matters. Maybe Mahindra should shrink the XUV 500 and that will be the one which can beat the Duster. (one non mahindra that can really remain in countryside for ever)
+Arun Muralidhar you have a point but trust us, no one buys these cars to go off the road, if you want to, there are other options like the Thar, Safari and Duster AWD. XUV500 is a front-wheel drive so a mini XUV will be a monocoque, losing out on the rear-wheel drive ruggedness.
MotorBeam thanks for the reply. never expected one. true that ecosports /dusters never leave the road other to park. mahindra but has customers who are primarily utility oriented. I m not saying full dunes or mud n slush. But like out here, its Bolero and thar di that does the job. rubber estates n stuff. But i am also disappointed about their attempt to do 7 seats and i think that is one reason why the height had to be increased for leg room
tuv serves you 187nm of torque from as low as 1100rpm,in an suv u need pulling power(torque) and not horse power entirely, moreover tuv is a rear wheel drive and a ladder on frame chassis which makes it a proper suv unlike ecosport which i would call a crossover,no one is going to drive it in a drag race, known thing is that mhawk engines are gems like in the scorpio and xuv500
bhai, ford se itna andha pyar kyon , bhai haar maan ne ko taiyar hi nahi ho, shame on u for ur pathetic review, u guys dont even know that there is no comparison between these two, both r good in their own way !!!!!!!!!!
MotorBeam is biased to Ford, Are they paying you. You have not talked about Ground clearnace, you have not talked about wheel base Not even about crash test. Mahindra Body design is better than Ecosport. Mind it.
Funny comparison..Both has there own audience..While going through the comments,it's clear that Motobeam is getting irritated if somebody says good about TUV.If this is their attitude,we know how they did the review..WTF..I love the design of TUV and its tough look. I have done both cars test drive and gonna book TUV300 T8.!!
+vishnu kumar we don't get irritated with anything but people saying the TUV is better than the EcoSport is funny because the Ford car is much superior although the TUV offers more VFM.
I've driven both these cars. Personally I would rate TUV over the EcoSport. Below are my observations: Comparing these two, the visibility, head room and commanding seating position of TUV is excellent. EcoSport has better seats and quality of interior is better. Still seat cushioning and support can be improved according to your taste from any good upholstery shop. EcoSport has more punch in driving but TUV isn't that bad either, just a step behind. Second row is a practical 3 seater unlike ecopsort which appears cramped for three grown adults. Last two seats in TUV is ideal for kids and for emergency accommodation. Not suitable for long drives for taller adults. It's still a plus for TUV, as EcoSport really misses that extra space utilisation in times of need. Coming to the exterior it's obviously a personal choice. I love raw boxy designs and not a fan of fancy styling. I think modifying the front with round headlights and reworking the grill could give a much better appeal, like the suzuki jimny.
+MotorBeam What is the top speed you were ever able to achieve in an Indian highway? 140 max not more than that. And i think this car can do 140 at a relaxed pace. You are not buying a Race car dude you are buying a SUV no one buys a Bus thinking it's a plane. -_-
I can understand most of the people's complaints in the comments section below, but seriously anyone who thinks the TUV is an off-road vehicle is mistaken. It is not. If you want a real off-roader, buy the Hexa or the XUV. Having driven both, I can safely say that the EcoSport is safer, and drives better. I found the highway stability to be better, and the steering feel and feedback is much better. The features on offer on the updated EcoSport pretty much makes it eclipse the TUV in terms of features. Also, the interior fit and finish is way better than the TUV. The reality is nobody is going to take the TUV off-road, they have the bolero for people who can't afford the XUV or the Scorpio, so the only thing that matters is the driving dynamics and the safety on offer, both of which are better in the EcoSport.
Most of the people commenting here without test drive, Try yourself you shall know the difference. Ecosport is simply Superb in terms of handling and control. Do not forget safety features offer by Ford.
Also ecosport is very fun to drive and it's handling puts a wide smile in your face.stability is also mind bobbling. We enthusiasts only know the truth.
tuv 300 seems more like a product for rural or tier 2 ,tier 3 cities & ecosport is truly an urban (tier 1 cities )cruiser , though both are sub 4m utility vehicles ,they are aimed at 2 different set of customers. liked the way the shoot out is Carried out! though it had some problem in hearing the anchor at times.
+Ravi Sankar relax, no one takes these cars off-road, NO ONE. Just because the EcoSport won, you accuse of us being paid by Ford, if the TUV had won, you would have accused of being paid by Mahindra.
+MotorBeam , whether anybody takes these vehicles off-road or not isn't an issue. To me, irrespective of ford, mahindra, etc., if its an SUV, it should have off-roading capabilities as well.
I dont get tuv fans bashing the ecosport, saying it will not fare well on rural roads It's not like the tuv has 4wd or even awd If i wanted a tough reliable suv that can tackle rough roads, i would take the duster anyday Extraordinary ride quality and awd for that tough conditions
Good Review MotorBeam. I myself is an EcoSport Fan and managed to book it some days back. I am getting it on 5th of Feb i.e 3 days from now. Very much excited for it .
The new variant of TUV 300 MHAWK100 motor is now quicker then the ecosport 😀 It looks more aggressive itz more stronger Itz good in offloading then the Ecosport. Will buy a TUV very soon 😊
I Think your review is a lil biased. I have owned a ecosport for over 2years now and I agree with the handling and control.. But there is a huge turbo lag on the lower gears and the suspension is very stiff. As for the TUV I think it's a great looking car really tough. So from a design perspective I give full marks to Mahindra
Try petrol variant... Ecoboost.. No turbolag.. 999cc 123bhp turbocharged.. 18.9kml mileage, 170nm torque.. One of best engine ever created worldwide.. Engine ranks internationally inside 1 to 10. Tuv engine is joke for heavy sized tin can
I like the manly look of TUV. and honestly how many of us care about 0-100 speed timing and other on paper stuff. shouldn't we support the Indian brand than Obama's ? Great video by far anyways!!! keep it up.
+Aarush Vasavda True !! Only when we support by buying Indian stuff in time we will spend enough on R&D and comfortable enough to manufacture world class products... people say they are Patriotic but not ready to be out of their comfort zone...not that you have to join Army to be ...u can just prefer a decent India product over a premium foreign product
+Harshavardhan Gelli we Indians buy a lot of Pulsars, Indicas, Scorpios because they serve our purpose. If a product is Indian and not serving our purpose, why should we buy it? Patriotism shouldn't become charity.
well true off road SUV r Thar , Toyota Prado , Land Rover etc...most cant afford them..so dnt talk the practical SUV stuff...we are talking about value...Ford is more expensive than TUV ...and i bet i see more older Mahendra vehicles on road then any Ford..... true thy r more comfort and peppy to ride .. but to live longer...ford has parts issue which every one knows ... cost of owner ship and stuff.... TUV has more torque and built to last...yes thy dnt give the feel and comfort but for sure they are not charity material.... ford is a 100 year old company they could get the most updated stuff if they choose to ...the kind of engines thy get in abroad and here .... they r just playing the double standard game ...dumping old tec here...unlike Mahendra they are improving model by model....pls mind it....its not charity....
Pros of ecosports = 1. Better handling (less body roll) 2. High end performance (top speed) Pros of TUV300 = 1. Tough body, 2. Tall SUV stance, 3. Spacious cabin 4. Better interior with dual tone color and well fit and finish consoles. 5. Low end torque (punchy engine at low speed) 6. 7 seater 7. Better ride quality (great suspension) 8. Better road presence. People buy compact suv like creta duster for their SUVish looks, no one cares about the off roading capability. The looks is what matter for people looking for suv type vehicle. Looking for a compact SUV and buying ecosport doesn't make any sense. Creta, terrano, duster, tuv300 should be the lost price wise and they are comparable. Its the looks and presence that matter.
Mahindra TUV300 is lot better than ford ecosport.. worth the money and best for indian roads.. Ford is to small than TUV and expensive. we indians should start supporting Indian manufacturers first.
+MotorBeam you think Other foreign manufacturers don't experiment on us!! its my view.. people should not be attracted by brand , its the need which has to be deciding factor.. Cheers☺👍
this video clearly focusing only ecosport, he completely forget to mention AMT version that TUV offers, Price, space and automatic transmisssion, also check sales TUV head already, also ecosport doesnt give any Suv feal, its still perform like hatch back, same time TUV gives that feel
Which safari?? Tata?? Its outdated suv dude If u want updated true suv go for Scorpio, best available in Indian market. and TUV is also suv but reduced size kid shape
I have one ecosport petrol top model..driving it for last 3 years... took a long test drive of the TUV300 T8 recenly... way better than the ecosport. (Bty I am a Ford Fan.. before the ecosport I had an Ikon).. TUV300 is a True compact SUV.. ecosport on the other hand is glorified crossover. I am planning to replace the ecosport with TUV300...rather I will. For all you guys...If you are upgrading from a hatch back you will love the ecosport for obvious reasons...but try a test drive of the TUV..you will know the difference.. its punchy..its not the BHP matters its the torque matters. Bigger BHP means you have big muscle.. Bigger Torque means your ability to lift bigger weights Also Ford After Sale service is real pain in the **** you know what I mean ;)
the video didn't talk about off road capabilities something which tuv excels in... also in the roll ons tuv was faster till 2800..2900 rpm in any gear due to and lost only in the final 3k range which shows its great low ..mid range... shud have covered these points for a better judgment... still very nice review.. i am just trying to be a critic.. :)
+shashank kumar haha. These cars are not meant to go off-road, they are for on-road driving. The TUV's low range is good but around 3000 RPM, it really lacks punch.
+MotorBeam while you are right that few people will take them off road but large amount of TUV will be sold in B and c towns and off road capabilities will matter there .
Nice review.. I have driven both the cars and here is my opinion. Both the cars are best in their own characteristics it's up to you which one serves your purpose. For urban ford ecosport is the best and for rural there is no doubt TUV is the king among two. I have tested both the cars driving offroad at my hometown which is rural part of Karnataka and hilly region. Trust me you will find it easier to climb on bad roads in TUV without much effort because of its lower end torque and it really handles better than ecosport. There is a feel of suv inside the TUV when you drive offroad. Though you can't expect the offroad capabilities like bolero it still do the justice for "compact SUV" when you drive offroad. On the road it cant beat eco sport in performance
you cant compare TUV with these cars like ecosports and others in same segment ,TUV gives you feel of a full size SUV and ecosports and ol are just a big size cross compare TUV with real SUVs
Invariably all the videos reviewed by these so called auto experts come with daunting heavy metal music background...which is really annoying ! Totally Unprofessional audio mix ! Feels like coming out of a cheap pub on a saturday evening after watching this !
both these vehicles are in an entirely different league. the final decision should have been left with the viewers and not made judgemental. this isn't good attitude. the new launched TUV mHawk100 does have more power and torque so its definitely going to be closer to the Ecosport in terms of performance. but then slug of a couple of seconds to a more spacious, airy and roomier cabin alongwith the road presence and sturdy built is a trade off everyone can live with. And anyways while travelling with family you should drive saFEly and keep the adrenaline rush under control, for that reason, i think the TUV makes a better sense. If you really wanna quench you adrenaline thirst, look to the punto Abarth, its one hell of a machine too...!!!
MotorBeam yup, thats what i said, this is the older version so its sloppy n sluggish. The newer one is more powerful n torquey so its a btr performer than the mHawk80. But STL, its got its own pros n cons, n the Ecosport got its own.
Good review and not Bias. I read and watched many reviews on TH-cam and Sites, of the three - Brezza, EcoSport and TUV, EcoSport has the highest rating, Brezza comes next and TUV is regarded as the least of the three.
+MotorBeam I didnt said TUV is better , It wasn't a comparison Test neither . Both the Vehicles has some positives and Downsides too . It felt like you did the review for Ecosport not for the other
You Missed out the most important point.... Eco Sport - Back seat only 2 Adult. TUV 300 - Back seat 2 Adult Comfortable Eco sport Automatic only in petrol Variant TUV AMT diesel Variant
I drove tuv300 but my personal view is that I m not satisfied with Tuv300 driving.....breaking is below average, pickup average, steering is not so responsive, gear is not sleek.
These Guys have Biased opinion about Indian companies....No doubt they are lobbying for these American cars. While Buying a Car there are many other things to be looked. 1) Mahindra has much better service network then Ford and spare parts are economical too. 2) TUV Cost a Lakh Rupees less then Ford. 3) Technology-wise TUV is better and it has a refreshing design compared to typical looks of a Ford. 4) Breaking, acceleration parameters are not justified because it depends on User handling and his capabilities.May be the video was biased towards TUV parameters. To Sum Up, One cannot trust these guys reviews. Few days back someone Dumped TATA Zest for Suzuki Swift DEzire just because Suzki has better service network then TATA.
+sanjay singh looks like you haven't driven the EcoSport. Same person was driving both the cars so there is no difference in the capabilities of the user that the EcoSport will fare better and the TUV won't.
I think +MotorBeam manages to reply for positive comments ONLY... :P if you are crunchy old man go for ford ecosport.. coz you dont have any more sport on you atleast the car name has.. If you are a real macho go for cars like TUV 300, Scorpio, Thar & Bolero.. it brings the real hero spirit from inside you.. I own from small cars like Indica and Swift.. and some bigger cars like Bolero and TUV 300.. I feel the best experience only Bolero and TUV which i have never seen in any other compact cars like ecosport or s-cross... you keep on saying refined.. refined.. refined.. if you want refined things go for people who drive bikes like splendor or unicorn.. if you are looking for a ride-like-god experience go for Royal en-field in bikes and cars like TUV or Scorpio..
The in gear acceleration is better for the ecosport?.... Maybe you should look at your VBOX numbers... For the 3rd and the 4th gears which matter the most... the TUV is well matched within a second for 4th gear and fraction of a second for the third gear.... Considering the fact that the TUV is 300kg heavier... the in gear acceleration is amazing...in comparison to ecosport... In case of breaking as well the TUV stops well within 1sec of the time taken by Ecosport.... the reviewer is totally ignoring the momentum that the TUV carries and still manages to decelerate fairly quick....the breaking power is superior ...... The review is not a balanced one...and if you guys want to excel in this... you need to do lot more..
TUV is not a sports car. PATHETIC COMPARISON. Ecosports is nothing in front of tuv. TUV is not known for its speed..duh! Its known for its TOUGHNESS. TUV : TOUGH Utility Vehicle. TUV is the BOSS.
Praneeth Chandra Guys, please stop being biased and read this with a healthy mind. When we compare TUV and EcoSport in Toughness, TUV is the winnner. When we compare TUV and EcoSport in SPEED, ECOSPORT is the winnner. You cant compare a BATTLE TANK (TUV) with a RACE CAR (ECO-SPORT). Both are completely different from each other.
Praneeth Chandra TUV is made of toughened high-strength steel body shell for all-round impact protection. It's built strong like a TANK and looks like one too.
I want to buy a small suv like ecosport but confused between Brezza also since I also want a good boot space also i have a family of 5 including 2 kids often would go on highways plz suggest a car
Woww☺ Wat must i say.! This is the way reviews must be done. Great work Motorbeam👌👏. My heart felt appreciations. More editings this time giving it a nice touch as like a review from Powerdrift. Tat makes viewing an enjoyable experience apart from acquiring novel information. Please keep up this good work. Like this please do the Vbox tests for all the bikes and cars in each of your upcoming reviews especially in the comparo videos. People want to know all those. i am a fan of all your videos and articles. Am an automobile fanatic and do follow a lot. But i love to listen, read or watch Motorbeam,Powerdrift,Autocar,Cartorq,Teambhp,Xbhp,Indianautosblog at first. Feel rest of the others many a times biased and does things without proper homework. Ah leave it..! Continue with your fantastic and proper reviews like these.
Butt hurt mahindra fans saying that compare them offroad... Does the TUV have low range,4x4 or lockable diffs? Only Mahindra niggles and rural fan base.
I think the review is quite fair. Please dont forget that Mahindra is asking to pay 8-11 lacs rs for their 3 cylinder TUV 300. I think that it might be first so called SUV with 3 cylinder engine. If you are blaming these vehicles thats because they dont offer SUV- like features, then i suggest to go for Toyota Fortuner , Ford Everest , ETC.Paying a budget price and expecting features of 25 lc is definitely not going to happen. Keep it Up..NICE REVIEW :)
I didn't expect a trolled reply from such big channel, anyways.I will give you answer for that,Bcz I understand you didn't think twice before writing. Yes Tempo Traveller is good, but that is not a car & not practical at all.Car is a status symbol which tampo traveller is not. Everyone has different use of all the products they buy. Even tampo is very good if it ever fulfills the need of status symbol or premiumness. In the other countries people don't buy basic car for status symbol but for the practical use & now they also get premiumness from some manufacturers like GM. That is the only reason why mini trucks are the most sold vehicle in the USA & yes that is too a kind of Tempo traveller but with carriage for transferring home & normal needs. In India most of the people have bigger families, that makes 7 seaters more popular than such streched up Hatchbacks !! If you would ever understand that people have different use & point of view, you will never reply in such rude & trolled reply.EVER. Be polite Be good !!
+MotorBeam every way. The styling was done in Australia for the front end and do you know what they say about this car? It's an attempt of giving an SUV out of fords Aspire. But TUV might have some refinement issues but it's a big bold car that provides very good riding comfort on out road.
+MotorBeam there is one in our family, it's quite cramped and rides like an entry level hatch. paying close to 12 big ones for that ford is plain stupid.
Hlo motorbeam forum, guyz plz do a drag race between Ford Ecosport and Renault Duster . Really wants to see who is faster. Waiting for ur Video Thank you
I am trekker and was looking for off road car which I searched and for comparison I checked your video before getting doubt clear, I have Sat in both the car and the shaky and bumpy which u described in tuv is completely wrong, it is best for off road and also on d highway, mahindra is known to make robust cars for off roads and you missed a very important specs of off road also in comparison apart from the 6 airbags (for the top variant model) ecosport is very congested car compared to tuv, it was indeed a one sided review supporting Ford ecosport...there shud be neutral reviews for any product to be promoted.. Experts may put your thoughts and comments.. Thank you!!
The autoshift NOT AUTOMATIC is not good for slopes. It is powerful, but has an issue of rolling even if the vehicle is in gear. Eg: If you are steadily going up a slope, in between the clutch goes of and the car would roll backwards. The same happens in reverse gear. Wouldnt recommend the autoshift for roads with slope. The manual one should be good
Modified version of TUV looks super muscular for Indian roads. Spacious but less power.. I own an ecosport 999cc turbocharged ecoboost with 123ps 170nm torque model and i must say its simply awesome. The refinement level is cool.. Tech is great..Wish it had little bit more space. . Boron steel used on body is really tough and light weight. A true compact Urban Suv..
This review is biased I think EcoSport is an overpriced fat car not an SUV. I check for the Auto transmission and it is price 13 lacs on road in Chennai. Does not make sense the same goes for other compact SUV's like Duster etc. I would rather pay another lac and buy a XUV 500 or Scorpio with more power 2.2 then some big car with small engine 1.5/1.6 same goes for Creta 18 lac for automatic Hyundai must be joking for that cost to get a 5 seater 1.6 engine
Hi nice review both cars are great Ecosport being on the sportier side And tuv 300 on the tougher side Ecosport is a perfect highway and city car And tuv is more inclined towards rural and rough driving both target different set of customers tuv being a bit more utility based Thanks for the comparison good job
Yeah ecosport is a better highway car It has a more refined engine better handling and better weight : power ratio which helps it give better performance figures While tuv is better equipped when it comes to safety Its spair parts are easily available and has lower mentainence broad network of mahindra provides better service and is approx 1.2L cheaper :)
The way I see it, i would rather buy an alto 800, than go for the eco sport. even a alto can take more abuse than the eco sport without even breaking a sweat.
dear m team.. i would like to share from yourself after sales problems of vehicles like tuv mahindra or from ford eco sport... which brand has more problems..
When the SUVish look is not there at all, what is the point in buying a car just because they get the term SUV given on papers, but doesnt actually look like one in real world condition. Its better you guys go for i20 active or baleno.
can u tell me abt eco sport petrol and ecoboost which one should I prefer wat abt the mileage of these two cars ..I heard mileage of these two cars r poor ??
Khem cr i own ecoboost and its simply awesome.. A good performing engine with turbocharger and 123ps power. Mileageis around 16kmpl..overall a super urban suv for price..
ecosport is an urban suv, front wheel drive and there is no suv feel while driving ecosport. Tuv is big nd have traits of suv. High ground clearance is not a only criteria for suv lot of things are needed

1) It should cover bad roads or village roads comfortably.
2) It should comfortably cruise on highway at around 80-110 km/h.
3) It should comfortably carry 5 people with their luggage.
4) Build quality should be tough enough to withstand Indian roads.

That' what who never drove the ecosport say.
+Future world EcoSport drives better than TUV.
EcoSport lacks rear seat space. But seats are the best in segment
See third row in tub is useless in ecosport u have more boot tuv last seat is unsafe no seat belt and there is no ac vent @future world u understand that
Then why tuv discontinued due to poor sales right now they relaunched as bolero neo
@@ulluwebseries8188 and in Bolero Neo they have ZERO IMPROVEMENTS ! So the same car which did badly 6 years ago is come back with fresh branding. Shame on Mahindra!
Tuv 300 best❤️❤️
But take it to more undulating landscapes like flat rocks of karjat or even soft sugar fields of pune, you will find TUV doing much much better
I found TUV more airy and comfortable. As i am used to Mahindra (imagine the horror of migrating from honda to mahindra), the rattle n stuff isnt much an issue. In towns and country sides, Mahindra excels with its heavy and tough body. the ecosport exterior literally falls apart on hitting a small rock. Moreover, cost of ownership should be considered, atleast over the next 3 yrs, when doing reviews
Its indeed sad that TUV attempted to cramp in 7 but then that too helps in rest of India.

Is it me or every one is feeling that MotorBeam is paid by FORD? After reading comments.
+Sachin Tyagi drive both the cars and then we shall talk.
as sson as I saw comparing the spare seat to back seat of ford!!!
I planned to buy ford ecosport this aug... not anymore after this video!
after reading comments even i feel same
On my driving TUV 300. I feel very bore .....not fun on drive.
Ecosport is the best.. Please drive and speak
tuv serves you 187nm of torque from as low as 1100rpm,in an suv u need pulling power(torque) and not horse power entirely, moreover tuv is a rear wheel drive and a ladder on frame chassis which makes it a proper suv unlike ecosport which i would call a crossover,no one is going to drive it in a drag race, known thing is that mhawk engines are gems like in the scorpio and xuv500
+Vishal V this is a new engine, putting an mHawk tag on it won't make it reliable as the other engines, we have to wait and watch.
+MotorBe8am
bhai, ford se itna andha pyar kyon , bhai haar maan ne ko taiyar hi nahi ho, shame on u for ur pathetic review, u guys dont even know that there is no comparison between these two, both r good in their own way !!!!!!!!!!
very true. suv s are meant to be rear wheel drive and ladder on frame construction....
MotorBeam motor u bootlicking Ford too much
MotorBeam is biased to Ford, Are they paying you.
You have not talked about Ground clearnace, you have not talked about wheel base Not even about crash test. Mahindra Body design is better than Ecosport. Mind it.
+ravichandra MaLz looks like you haven't driven the EcoSport, read anyone's review, the Ford is superior to the TUV.
+ravichandra MaLz Seems like you are a TUV fanboy, so its just evident why you are so upset.
+Vinay Kumar Mahindra fans are a bit extreme!
MotorBeam Ford agent just check the kerb weight of both for knowing about the built quality in which Tuv 300 is more heavier and better than EcoSport.
@@nikhilpaleti3872 motorbeam is bootlicker of ford many says
Funny comparison..Both has there own audience..While going through the comments,it's clear that Motobeam is getting irritated if somebody says good about TUV.If this is their attitude,we know how they did the review..WTF..I love the design of TUV and its tough look. I have done both cars test drive and gonna book TUV300 T8.!!
+vishnu kumar we don't get irritated with anything but people saying the TUV is better than the EcoSport is funny because the Ford car is much superior although the TUV offers more VFM.
vishnu kumar You're awesome dude, welcome to Mahindra!
+MotorBeam I think you are American. First support Indian then American.
Nice review guys!keep up the good work.BTW, to make things better, work on the audio levels. Sometimes felt like music is louder than the talks
+Boban P. Raj thanks, yes we will take care of the audio better in our next video ;-)
I've driven both these cars. Personally I would rate TUV over the EcoSport. Below are my observations:
Comparing these two, the visibility, head room and commanding seating position of TUV is excellent.
M surprised calling Ecosport as SUV, it is premium hatchback. It is smaller than WaganR.
Adding spare wheel on back door does not make SUV
+Vinod Dhavle it's an SUV and a 4-wheel drive version is also sold abroad.
I know it is SUV. Its so compact and small. According to me SUV should look bold. Duster has that look. Ecosport is missing that.
Correct
I'm proud to be a owner of tuv 300 t6
Me too bro
Nice reviews. the reviews are getting better and better. The time and the decibel comparison is really nice
+George P. Varghese thanks for the kind words.
TUV 300 might appeal to those who used to like TATA Sumo
That comment was LOL.
Vishal, ladder frame only adds to the weight and isn't needed for an urban SUV. The TUV might have good low-end performance but lacks highway punch.
+MotorBeam What is the top speed you were ever able to achieve in an Indian highway? 140 max not more than that. And i think this car can do 140 at a relaxed pace. You are not buying a Race car dude you are buying a SUV no one buys a Bus thinking it's a plane. -_-
+Red Love Show very well said
Ladder frame is not only for weight it takes much abuse
Awesome comparison video guys..!! You compared everything with proof. That makes your video different from others. Keep up the good work. Cheers :)
+adi25aug thanks for the kind words buddy.
Good , straight forward and entertaining . The beginning as if i was watching Dhoom 4
+Ramesh Bollineni thank you, glad you liked it.
Most of the people commenting here without test drive, Try yourself you shall know the difference. Ecosport is simply Superb in terms of handling and control. Do not forget safety features offer by Ford.
True that.
Also ecosport is very fun to drive and it's handling puts a wide smile in your face.stability is also mind bobbling. We enthusiasts only know the truth.
tuv 300 seems more like a product for rural or tier 2 ,tier 3 cities & ecosport is truly an urban (tier 1 cities )cruiser ,
though both are sub 4m utility vehicles ,they are aimed at 2 different set of customers.
liked the way the shoot out is Carried out! though it had some problem in hearing the anchor at times.
+BICHU SHAJI but Mahindra says it's aimed at the urban buyer, Bolero is for rural.
We have sub titles, just click on CC.
Shabri devi ki pooja vidhi
It's suv not a car.. Seems
Olé you got paid by ford.. No review on off road even if both are considered soft roaders..worst review
+motoBeam sales started talking already tuv outpaced eco , people dumping smaller suv
When it comes to pushing the vehicle to it's limits while testing then u guys are the best in the business.
😂
I dont get tuv fans bashing the ecosport, saying it will not fare well on rural roads
It's not like the tuv has 4wd or even awd
If i wanted a tough reliable suv that can tackle rough roads, i would take the duster anyday
Extraordinary ride quality and awd for that tough conditions
this video is an paid endorsement from ford....
+Amit Sharma says the Mahindra fan!
Yes this channel dont deserve to be done reviews if you give them money theyll promote anything
Good Review MotorBeam. I myself is an EcoSport Fan and managed to book it some days back. I am getting it on 5th of Feb i.e 3 days from now. Very much excited for it .
+nishant saloki did you get your car?
MotorBeam yes sir..got my car yesterday night.. loving it to the core.. but ryt now in a sorrow of parting from my old car
The new variant of TUV 300 MHAWK100 motor is now quicker then the ecosport 😀
It looks more aggressive itz more stronger Itz good in offloading then the Ecosport.
Have you driven the new EcoSport?
No I haven't driven the latest one
Try petrol variant... Ecoboost.. No turbolag.. 999cc 123bhp turbocharged.. 18.9kml mileage, 170nm torque.. One of best engine ever created worldwide.. Engine ranks internationally inside 1 to 10. Tuv engine is joke for heavy sized tin can
A stiff suspension is the trademark of a genuine SUV. The same also makes sure that the body roll is minimum.
@@nadeemzargar2782 range rover is a true suv, and it has good comfortable ride
The 1.5 Duratorq TDCI is a gem.
I like the manly look of TUV. and honestly how many of us care about 0-100 speed timing and other on paper stuff. shouldn't we support the Indian brand than Obama's ? Great video by far anyways!!! keep it up.
+Aarush Vasavda thanks! 0-100 km/hr might not be important but in-gear acceleration is.
Harshavardhan Gelli have u heard about ecoboost engine in ecosport? Know before u comment pls
Pros of ecosports = 1. Better handling (less body roll)
2. High end performance (top speed)
Pros of TUV300 = 1. Tough body,
2. Tall SUV stance,
3. Spacious cabin
4. Better interior with dual tone color and well fit and finish consoles.
5. Low end torque (punchy engine at low speed)
6. 7 seater
7. Better ride quality (great suspension)
And that's why the EcoSport is selling well.
Mahindra TUV300 is lot better than ford ecosport.. worth the money and best for indian roads.. Ford is to small than TUV and expensive. we indians should start supporting Indian manufacturers first.
+Sathish Kumar so that they can experiment on us?
+MotorBeam you think Other foreign manufacturers don't experiment on us!! its my view.. people should not be attracted by brand , its the need which has to be deciding factor.. Cheers☺👍
+Sathish Kumar Fantastic reply Satish!!
+Alok Mahajan Cheers.. 👍☺
+Sathish Kumar exactly, the need for city users is better fulfilled by the EcoSport.
in this video TUV looks far better than EcoSport. EcoSport is looking fat dull in front of fresh boxy design.. loved the car but not the review :)
+Nitin Verma are you judging a book by its cover?
oh my! 🙌 crazy video!! the starting of the video is simply great. Cheers 🎊
+Viraj Gaikwad thanks ;-)
this video clearly focusing only ecosport, he completely forget to mention AMT version that TUV offers, Price, space and automatic transmisssion, also check sales TUV head already, also ecosport doesnt give any Suv feal, its still perform like hatch back, same time TUV gives that feel
+Jevin George Varghese if you want true feel of an SUV, buy a Safari.
Which safari?? Tata?? Its outdated suv dude
If u want updated true suv go for Scorpio, best available in Indian market. and TUV is also suv but reduced size kid shape
Bigger Torque means your ability to lift bigger weights
Also Ford After Sale service is real pain in the **** you know what I mean ;)
+Bhargav Ranadeep have you driven the diesel EcoSport?
Ya one of my close friend has it..It is not as punchy as the Petrol one. Bty my friend now replaced it with a Maruti Dezire
+Bhargav Ranadeep DZire is fast due to its light weight.
:) Thats so funny. Dzire is a slowwwwww car
the video didn't talk about off road capabilities something which tuv excels in... also in the roll ons tuv was faster till 2800..2900 rpm in any gear due to and lost only in the final 3k range which shows its great low ..mid range... shud have covered these points for a better judgment... still very nice review.. i am just trying to be a critic.. :)
+shashank kumar haha. These cars are not meant to go off-road, they are for on-road driving.
The TUV's low range is good but around 3000 RPM, it really lacks punch.
+MotorBeam ....tuv...is quite an off roader ....
+MotorBeam Actually TUV is meant to be an off roader.
+vishwanath dvs this review was from an urban standpoint.
you cant compare TUV with these cars like ecosports and others in same segment ,TUV gives you feel of a full size SUV and ecosports and ol are just a big size cross compare TUV with real SUVs
+Varun Choudhary and which are those real SUVs?
+MotorBeam why do you people hate the TUV this much ?
tuv 300

Invariably all the videos reviewed by these so called auto experts come with daunting heavy metal music background...which is really annoying ! Totally Unprofessional audio mix ! Feels like coming out of a cheap pub on a saturday evening after watching this !
+Neetesh Ananth most people like it, so we do it.
+MotorBeam actually it was quite alright...wasn't a problem at all. would have been a bit dull without the music.
both these vehicles are in an entirely different league. the final decision should have been left with the viewers and not made judgemental. this isn't good attitude. the new launched TUV mHawk100 does have more power and torque so its definitely going to be closer to the Ecosport in terms of performance. but then slug of a couple of seconds to a more spacious, airy and roomier cabin alongwith the road presence and sturdy built is a trade off everyone can live with. And anyways while travelling with family you should drive saFEly and keep the adrenaline rush under control, for that reason, i think the TUV makes a better sense. If you really wanna quench you adrenaline thirst, look to the punto Abarth, its one hell of a machine too...!!!
+Aditya Raman we compared the old mHawk80 engine.

You must have seen the performance related proofs in the video.
I like TUV 300 a lot . could u share ur experience with TUV 300. What do you like about it ?
if you are crunchy old man go for ford ecosport.. coz you dont have any more sport on you atleast the car name has..
+Suresh Mythreyan (Smyth) we reply to all comments.
motor beam's videography is awesome.. best I'd say..
+Akash Shaw thanks a ton for the kind words.
TUV300 looks more powerful than ECOSPORT.......it looks fresh
+Vasu PS it's carrying momentum because of Mahindra's cost cutting of using a ladder frame and thus the higher weight.
@@MotorBeam Really you guys saying ladder on frame is cost cuting huh

TUV is not a sports car.
PATHETIC COMPARISON.
Ecosports is nothing in front of tuv.
TUV is not known for its speed..duh! Its known for its TOUGHNESS.
TUV : TOUGH Utility Vehicle.
TUV is the BOSS.
+Mohd Tabish of course, if you say so, TUV is better than the Land Rover Defender too.
+MotorBeam You are biased.
+MotorBeam So is Ford Ecosport, too? haha

Guys, please stop being biased and read this with a healthy mind.
Praneeth Chandra
TUV is made of toughened high-strength steel body shell for all-round impact protection. It's built strong like a TANK and looks like one too.

By the way,I am Samuel George I am also a car fanatic.Could you please reduce the background ground music so I can hear the engine noise?
Butt hurt mahindra fans saying that compare them offroad... Does the TUV have low range,4x4 or lockable diffs? Only Mahindra niggles and rural fan base.
+Dh Do true that, the TUV is also a soft-roader.

Eco Sport is no SUV. No rear wheel drive, no powerful Engine, No Body on frame chasis,no space inside like any true SUV.
Mb if u are replying like this to your viewer gonna never watch ur channel.....scrap u r...
Video editing is very good
the choice is between an overgrown cramped overpriced car vs TUV which makes a lot of sense.
+Saanvi M and in what way is the EcoSport overgrown?
+MotorBeam every way. The styling was done in Australia for the front end and do you know what they say about this car? It's an attempt of giving an SUV out of fords Aspire. But TUV might have some refinement issues but it's a big bold car that provides very good riding comfort on out road.
+Red Love Show TUV's design is copied from Jeep and Land Rover vehicles.
MotorBeam What about TATA Safari Storme. I understand that TUV is not the best but it certainly isn't the worse.
Waiting for ur Video
Thank you
+deepak yadav the Duster will win!
Duster with Figo diesel
The manual one should be good
Great reviews !!!
+Yogendra Rajput thanks for the kind words.
You seem to be working for Mahindra?
MotorBeam nope.. I said i own an ecosport.. How that means im working in mahindra.. Tuv is cool... But ecosport is great.. Wish it had 4*4 offering
@@vineethz3923 they ask beacuse they are biased betwwen fors
what about AMT performances
nice review @motorbeam
+Abhishek Singh thanks. AMT is yet to be driven.
Ecosports DCT is better than AMT
This review is biased I think EcoSport is an overpriced fat car not an SUV. I check for the Auto transmission and it is price 13 lacs on road in Chennai. Does not make sense the same goes for other compact SUV's like Duster etc. I would rather pay another lac and buy a XUV 500 or Scorpio with more power 2.2 then some big car with small engine 1.5/1.6 same goes for Creta 18 lac for automatic Hyundai must be joking for that cost to get a 5 seater 1.6 engine
+saji pillai bigger engine doesn't always mean better performance.
Power to weight ratio,in gear acceleration, torque to weight, ground clearance, tire size,
weight,aerodynamics etc.. also matters.
@@MotorBeam lol nice joke
Awesome review
it seems u r working for ecosport
No we aren't.
Ofcourse they are biased
Any benifits of RWD to TUV 3OO
Definitely, that supports in better offroading abilities
Good comparison, covered important points...
+justice peace thanks.
an awesome review ..the details covered are commendable !! and at the end an honest review of choosing ford ecosport , the better of the two !!!
+Akbar Ali thank you for the kind words.
0:37 to :40 superb scene
+pavan kumar glad you liked it.
Hi nice review both cars are great Ecosport being on the sportier side And tuv 300 on the tougher side Ecosport is a perfect highway and city car And tuv is more inclined towards rural and rough driving both target different set of customers tuv being a bit more utility based Thanks for the comparison good job
+Amandeep Singh true that but the TUV doesn't have highway grunt.
Yeah ecosport is a better highway car
It has a more refined engine better handling and better weight : power ratio which helps it give better performance figures
While tuv is better equipped when it comes to safety
Its spair parts are easily available and has lower mentainence broad network of mahindra provides better service and is approx 1.2L cheaper :)
+Amandeep Singh Mahindra service being better can't be said but the TUV is indeed much cheaper.
+Jasminder singh Rooprai Ford service is better.
5:21 surrounded by VWs
nice dramatic series
No words, just epic.
+krpradi that puts us on cloud no. 9!
Awesome....100% genuine review
+Benjamin Joseph thanks a ton ;-)
When the SUVish look is not there at all, what is the point in buying a car just because they get the term SUV given on papers, but doesnt actually look like one in real world condition. Its better you guys go for i20 active or baleno.
i20 Active still has some SUV elements.
on
Ecosport comes with 3 engines 1.5petrol 110ps 1liter eco boost has 123ps of power and diesel 1.5.tdci which has 90ps 204 rpm

eco sport isn't a SUV
company claiming 18
Khem cr i own ecoboost and its simply awesome.. A good performing engine with turbocharger and 123ps power. Mileageis around 16kmpl..overall a super urban suv for price..
which car is better to buy...tuv300 t8 or nuvosport n8
TUV.
i had ECo sport also...the worst car....n now i bought TUV which is much much better...infact best in its class ..love TUV
You work for Mahindra?
Definite Yes dabba tuv owner u dnt owned ecospirt if u owned ecosport u cant say its faults bcoz im using it for 1year awesomeee
i work for humanity ..
am a Eco-sport user love it
+Raj Kumar nice, which model?
2015 April
tuv 300
M&M dragging back us to bullock cart age...now the highways are improving in India, as like me the Keralite's are looking 4X4 AMT, with good power.
What option do you have?
Please compare ERTIGA vs Tuv 300
Should i go for the TUV 300? What are the bad points about this car?
Go for the 100 BHP version.
One of the best review I have ever seen.... Keep going guys!!
+Avinash Sankar thanks for the kind words.
